    Cannot get over how clean and crystal clear the waters in Dawki were!! LOVED the drone shots I shot, keep an eye out for them 😍 And let me know what you thought of this vlog :)

      Excellent ❤️ vlog ! Me & my mom set out from Shillong, covered Mawlynnlong, Dawki with boating in the late afternoon. And then drove all the way back to Ghy. Driving 180 odd km in the hills was quite strenuous for our cab driver. No wonder after reaching the accommodation (thankfully centrally placed in GS road), we slept like a log for literally 9-10 hours. Gr8 memories 👍👍!

    Once upon a time this whole northeast states were neglected and was called as junglees. Very few tourists/travellers visited the n.e states back in the 90s and 00 era. And now, thanks to TH-camrs and active travellers, there are a lot of visitors into these states and is increasing every year.

      Militancy was mainly the cause of that.. it would not have been safe to travel for non locals to these remote places

      Suman V_ Actually, the tourism department of Meghalaya along with the local promoters have put in a lot of effort to help develop tourism in the state and they've worked really really hard to get Meghalaya to where it is now... and they are still working on improving it further.

    I'm from uttrakhand and I think uttrakhand, himachal pradesh, Jammu/kashmir need to learn from Shillong in case of cleanliness. The difference i have noticed is clean road, no wastage on roadside, didn't see people chewing gutkha and spitting on roads. Shillong seems to be organised well and looks so refreshing. Looking forward to visit Shillong soon.

      I am born and brought up in shillong and have been to some part of himachal and uttarakhand. The places are beautiful but as you said its dirty. Meghalaya on otherhand has a village which is the cleanest village of Asia.

    • @fishyfish6510
      @fishyfish6510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shillong is not that much clean actually. There is still some garbage. I'd say Shillong is still one of the dirtiest in Meghalaya but in rural areas I'd say it is cleaner especially Mawlynnong village

    Means Lastborn is the youngest. These kind of unusual names are quite popular among Khasis and Jaitias. I use to have a Khasi friend called 'Succesful', and a Jaintia called 'Normal'. Names like Unity, Everlast are also pretty common among local women.

    Mam seems like you missed a great view point in mawlynnong village. After crossing the root bridge there is a way going up with some staircase. On climbing that to extreme top theres a stunning view point. Actually its not being known by everyone but the locals knows. If you get time do visit. 2ndly if you plan for double decker root bridge in shora do carry glucon d and keep moov or volini handy as you have to get down 3k stair cases and climb bk same so you will definetly be dehydrated and will have pain
