    The digital beeping sound is from a Matel digital football game. I still have mine from the 70’s.

    Quite possibly the greatest reaction I’ve ever seen. And I cannot begin to imagine what your IQ is, but it is obviously WAY HIGH! And even more importantly, you have a great spirit & a free mind. Fly high, young man. Fly high!

    Brah, I was not born in the time of this band, and seriously, Supertramp is f*cken wild and timeless af. These guys were serious fire as musicians. I don't think you had to be around when they were popular to get how fire these guys were.

    Great reaction. Very good take on essence of the song. You ever get to Florida holler. I'll smoke us up some ribs, have some drinks and a bowl or 5 by the pool. I'm 61 and have been in music since I was 12. We'd have a hell of a time!

    I remember staying up all night with them in the studio while recording this album, and they would toss the drum symbols around the room, bouncing them off the walls or whatever was in their way of the toss. Roger was convinced more unique sounds could come from a symbol, no matter what the cost. Lol

    I've appreciated Supertramp for over 40 years, but the basic message of this song is absurd. For those fortunate to live beyond childhood, life is full of challenges, and some (most) rise to meet those challenges, the rest remain child-like and end up depending on others for their survival. I don't consider it admirable to remain child-like, but to take on the responsibilities of life yet always being grateful for the beauty and glories of life.

  • @lisar.6670
    @lisar.6670 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm respectful, kind, helpful, considerate to my fellow man & woman ... However, I won't 'cow-tow' or bend my knee to political correctness, pronouns or any other shit politicians or liberal elites fling our way to see if it sticks to a wall. I don't believe in 'safe spaces' or 'participation trophies' either.
    I am fortunate and blessed to have grown up in a time {70's} and gone to school in an area where free speech was not only taught, but highly encouraged, from administrative staff down to all teachers to all students. Teachers lively hoods we're not lost nor threatened and the students didn't receive failing grades just because they did not agree with a teacher. They failed classes because they skipped to many days and/or didn't do the assignments.
    Parents, students, people in general WE'RE NOT LABELED 'DOMESTIC TERRORISTS' by OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ie: DOJ, FBI, Homeland Security etc etc for EXERCISING their LEGAL RIGHT to attend school board, public, town hall meetings. If attendees got out of hand or we're there to obviously start trouble, they would simply be removed. plain and simple. Audience members also did not have the right to 'shout down' speakers. If the person/people didn't like what was being discussed, nobody stopped them from leaving.
    And even more importantly, nobody, and I MEAN NOBODY, was physically assaulted or threatened to be for speaking their minds.
    My father had a saying .. "Engage brain before mouth" or be prepared to take the responsibilities for your words {and actions also}. No one was coddled, pampered or placed in a 'special room' with a blanket, coloring books/crayons and a cup of hot cocoa.
    To reinstate #RMH_itsme and others alike .. Supertramp is "f*cken wild" "fire as musicians" and serious songwriters with "timeless af" lyrics that we're relevant then, today and will be long after our own lives.
