- Kid Chameleon is a cult-classic platformer for Sega Genesis, infamous for having a massive number of tough levels and no way to save your progress. There are many different power-ups to help you on your quest to the end. What if we limited these power-ups to only the one that turns you into a fly?
This video was a long time coming, but I hope it was well worth the wait. We might do more of these for other games another time. I might've found this game a little later than most, on the MegaDrive compilation for the PS2, but it's always been pretty close to my heart and this run really brought me back. I love challenge runs but had never expected to have seen one of Kid Chameleon, this video's fantastic. Great stuff.

I am playing the game lately. Very nostalgic. I just asked myself "can you keep your cyclone through this game" and thats how i found this video. 13:00 is pretty much where i have to drop my cyclone sadly.

You can beat this game in 5 minutes by laying on the very right block in level two. Warps you straight to the last boss.

I saw! Man that was a great video. Like you i loved KC as a kid and its so nostalgic seeing it again. I totally forgot about all the gem powerups, and that jump you did on the last level omg
so glad you enjoyed it! i didn't even know the gem powers existed when i played this as a kid. and i'm still really happy over the last jump too lol

Would love a mod that adds some sort of level map to the game
And a few control tweaks like making destroying blocks beneath you quickly easier and the hoverboard a bit less twitchy

Don't know if it's possible to beat the bloody swamp as the bug.
i tried it many, many times off-camera for fun, got so close but never all the way! although i’ve seen an excellent TAS video where they beat bloody swamp as the tank - perhaps bug is possible after all, just inhumanly hard?
so the short answer is, no
i’m not 100% certain on that!
