  • Nihangs display various warrior skills with weapons during 'Anhad Naad', a Punjabi Mela in Delhi, India.
A three-day festival celebrating the musical heritage of Punjab opens at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
“Anhad Naad” showcase the unique ambience of a typical Punjabi village exhibiting the fast vanishing cultural traditions of music, arts and crafts of the northern State. Apart from cultural performances, numerous stalls selling Punjabi artefacts and traditional food items like “makki ki roti” and “sarson ka saag” would be available to visitors.
Jointly organised by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and Punjabi Academy, Delhi, the festival provide a scholarly contribution to the understanding of Punjab’s spiritual musical heritage. It would also bring together different art forms and musical expressions through cultural performances during the day and in the evenings.
Besides a “Punjabi Mela”, the event feature a wide variety of performances including “malvai gidda” (a folk dance performed by men), “saal” (folk drama), “gatka” (martial arts), “dhadi” (martial bards), “naqaal” (mimicry) and “naag been” (snake charmer’s flute).
The variety of secular folk music in the region has added flavour to the folk traditions of Punjab.

That's the kind of beat you play if you have for play non-stop for the whole day. Simplistic. And after about 10 minutes, really fucking annoying.

We use it as a strategic tactic actually! 3 beats instead of 2, because the rest of the world uses 2 beats! That is also why they do a lot of jumping, to confuse and be unpredictable

Sikh Empire was never defeated by the Britishers, our last king died and Britishers tricked his son and family to sign some treaties and in 1859 Punjab became a part of British India. and that's the reason India was able to free itself in 1947, Punjabis make upto 90% people who died while this freedom

The Guru Granth Sahib opens with the basic concept of the One Universal, supreme Energy called by so many different names across humanity,.
Ik oankar - One absolute being (God)
Satnam - Eternal truth it's name
    Karta Purkh - Creator
    Nirbau - without fear
    Nirvair - without hate/ enmity
    Akal Murat - Deathless/timeless image
Ajuni - Beyound birth and death
    Saibang - self existant
Gurprasad - known by the Guru's Grace.
This is repeated numerous times and at the start of every section as a constant reminder.
In the words of the tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh "recognise the human race as ONE"..

When I thought my life was over and I was under heavy spiritual attacks no one else came to my rescue but my faithful Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Love Himself.
      1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Chakra doesn't seem to me, to be much of a weapon 🤔Like a string shopping bag with weights attached. Makes pretty patterns while being spun but then what? Strike your opponent - inaccurately - once, then spend 5 minutes untangling it? Now come at me with a Tegh, Kirpan or even a plain stout staff [ Bo ] and suddenly, I'm taking you a lot more seriously 😨
