Preface: I'm not judging, and I know my convictions are just that, mine! 😊 When do you rest/take a Sabbath? I used to "rest" on Sunday because that's what all Christians do, right? 😉 But I've realized it's actually not a very restful day. I'm awake early, at the church building for 3.5 - 4 hours for Sunday school and service, we host a big lunch with a lot of family afterwards, we need to get things ready for Monday because I'm a working mom (and it's just not gonna happen on a work day), dinner, then the kids usually want to go back to the church for youth group. 🤪 It's the busiest day of the week for me! I'm TRYING to rearrange my weekends so I rest/Sabbath on Saturdays (which is usually when I clean, get groceries, do the bulk of the laundry, and meal prep) and do everything on Sunday. It's a major transition though - my habits and routines are so engrained.

Hi Erin! Yeah Sunday is not usually our families day of rest unfortunately! Our Saturdays are usually our more laid back or relaxing day compared to Sundays. That being said it’s not like Saturdays are a true Sabbath but we look at it from the perspective of using Saturdays to relax, and to fill our cup with the things that bring us joy. Sometimes that’s a true rest and relax day and sometimes that’s a day with family, friends, etc. Making time for a true Sabbath day is certainly something to strive for 😊
