Learned to dive here in Washington and now getting ready to move away. Leaves me feeling a little bittersweet about my move to another state. I'm sure I'll come back here for the nostalgia.
This is absolutely beautiful. I'm no diver, but just started exploring with my little ROV in the waters around Camano Island where I live. I don't dream of ever capturing anything like what you have done in your videos, but do take heart that Puget Sound does have the more than just murky water. Again, not just technically well done, but artistically presented. Very inspirational and a great motivator to see what little tidbits I can find under the water.
This video is better than my eyes 😂 I’d look to get certified but I live in the puget sound area and I’m worried about it being murky and scary. This is awesome!
I know I am 8 months late, but if you haven't done it yet, do it! I am 17 and I was super afraid of it being murky and scary as well. If you get certified in the middle of winter, it is actually very clear! Obviously, it won't be like, Florida clear. But it doesn't look murky or scary, it is much more peaceful and instead of having that creepy green tinge from the algae, it is a nice ocean blue.
this is fantastic. One of my absolute favorite places to dive. Incredibly envious of your GPO encounters., amazing footage. 7 PNW trips and have yet to see one
Amazing, professional footage! I plan to dive Puget Sound (and the areas around) in the next few years. Do you ever get surprised by sleeper sharks (or seven-gill sharks)? I’ve heard that they can be surprisingly aggressive if you’re not carefully monitoring your surroundings.
How hard is it to deal with the cold? I have done lots of wetsuit diving but never done dry suit or cold water before. Moved to Puget sound area recently and considering giving it a go.
Its a combination of natural light and onboard. The Giant Octopus was nearly 200 feet deep so not much natural light down there. I set white balance in camera before each shot using my white fin so that gets pretty good color balance in whatever light I am shooting. I use a GH5 camera with the 7-14 f2.8 Pro in a Nauticam housing.
This is awesome and making me want to get back to cold water diving. The wolf eels fighting is epic and beautifully filmed. Also is that a juvenile wolf eel getting scared up by the Octopus at 4:46?
I dove in Puget Sound over 35 years ago, and it's always stuck in my head as one of my favorite experiences diving anywhere in the world.

Wolf fish are really something.
Fantastic lighting and filming! I dove Puget Sound 35 years ago. New subscriber. ❤
Great video. Woflies are my fave. Loved hand-feeding them. Over a 1,000 dives in the Sound and not once did I ever find or come across a 6-gill.
Lovely! I never imagined such color and proliferation of life in cold waters!
The eel (moray?) looks like it has lived a hard life, though…

Excellent ! Fantastic video showing the epic diving in Puget Sound - Well done Aaron
That was INCREDIBLE to watch!!! Your footage is astounding! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this.
Those Wolf Eels are so cool.

Those sharks are very rarely ever seen, and they are typically around 100ft deep so not where most divers are going to
@@sputters2000 often much deeper than 100ft
Wow... some spectacular footage... very nice
And.....that’s why I love Wolf Eels. ☺️
Absolutely beautiful captures! Thanks for sharing.
I wish it went on and on....so beautiful.
Wolf eels rule. 👍🏻
Great shots!
Discovery Channel like quality, superb work. I want to be able to create like this one day
Thank you for sharing!
Breathtaking video. Great work!
What camera gear are you using for these shots? The clarity is amazing.
What is your setup? Great videography!

Golly! This was amazing! Thank You 😃
So inspirational awesome work
Remarkable job BTW. Very steady and perfect focus.
Absolutely amazing!!!
Spectacular!! My jaw dropped at the amazing wolf eel shots then you blew my mind with the GPOs!!! 🤯🤯 Amazing shooting!
Can my 5th grade students use a clip of your amazing footage in a short documentary that they’re making if we credit your channel?
Sure, as long as its for an educational purpose, I don't mind.
What a great video!!!
It’s a life goal of mine to see an octopus just like that! Is it difficult to find one in this area?
Natural light! Where did you film this? What depth and what camera?

What part of Hood Canal is this ?
What color filter did you use? That is fantastic work!
No filter, I just manually white balance for color
Nevermind! I read the comments! Sweet!
