My heart broke when Onew started crying, I thought it was really humble of him to try and cover it up as laughing. But i think the members knew he was really crying, and i felt like they were being supportive when they all got up and started clapping for him cause they know Onew doesn't like those sorts of questons and wanted to make him feel a little better. I don't understand what goes on in a person's head to think that asking an insecure person a question about their ranking in regards of looks would be in any way funny or acceptable, especially in a broadcast like this. They all are good-looking.
I'm so sick and tired of hearing Jinki and Key talk badly about their looks. Too many times Key has commented on how he's not handsome and how he and Jinki needed to go on a diet and watch what they eat, and said stufff like "am I that ugly".. To me he is so much more than just handsome, he is absolutely gorgeous and it breaks my heart every time I hear him say things like that. I think nowadays he tries to promote self-confidence but he's still got a lot of insecurities. Stupid questions like these certainly aren't going to help.
You will always hear this question in Korean games show, I don't think it is funny too.
Mikirlav reminds me of the key's swan-chicken story, they're always ranked since the beginning and i can tell it's frustrating them.

Awh, I honestly wanted to slap the host for asking that question to Onew... like, it was just rude really. You don't ask ANYBODY that question, regaurdless of who they are or if its a joke cause some people will still take it to heart...even if they don't show it. You could see it written all over his face though..
It's a part of korean culture which I hate. After watching so many variety shows/ interviews, the idea of ranking beauty is so prevalent, it's annoying.

I personally really like Onew because he has a very smiling face and blahblablah and that's something that I like, but then if I should say who has the most "stylish" "model" face, I often though seeing photos of Key "Oh my god! He has a really stylish face!"

Ok, I believe Onew may have started crying because he was laughing, but it definitely turned into something else. His facial expression is clearly not a happy one - he looks legitimately upset. And he's just keeps his head down and tries to cover his face with his hands down for a long time afterwards. Obviously he's a professional, so he's able to cover it up and try to joke around on camera - it's his job to do so. But someone who can't stop laughing doesn't look or act like that, at all. Sometimes, especially when a person is sensitive, you never know what little thing might trigger their emotions, however unrelated. It might not even have had anything to do with his looks - it could have just been the feeling of being made fun of on top of some other stressor. Obviously that question was mean, and airing the footage of him crying like that was exploitative and inappropriate - media is like that. Onew is someone who made the choice to enter that world, yes, but it's still uncomfortable to watch anyone be put on the spot like that. I don't understand how that is entertainment. Am I supposed to laugh at him? Watching someone cry is also upsetting for the viewer, regardless of who he is or how handsome you may personally find him. Sure, I may expect a lack of empathy from the entertainment industry, but what I don't understand is how this strategy is even making them any money?
I see where you're coming from but rest assured that's not why he was crying ^ ^ if you watch the unaired cut, you'll see that they were all laughing at something else the MC / Minho said so don't worry!
I know i am 5 years late 😅 but i think jinki laughed so hard because of the big nose question. big nose is also mean a big dick in korea so no wonder he is laughing. and there is a lot of ppl who will cry if they laugh to much including me. and most leader in sm including onew don't cry publicly. so I don't think he is hurt with that question I think he is just genuinely think his members are more handsome than he is. this is my opinion btw. and to me onew has the best visual 💕
