I've completely cut myself off FIFA games. Playing other stuff really opens your eyes to how bad sports games are in general. They're piss poor products that I honestly feel shame for buying back in the day.
Gameplay still the biggest issue. Teammate Ai still sucks and useless when on higher difficulty. Standing like statues while the opponent dribbles by, or leaving the back post unprotected from a cross. UT is to blame for this downfall, and players keep buying packs every year.
@@Junkosei100 I find the difficulty options super difficult. Playing on the hardest difficulty in career mode is either sometimes quite easy, or laughably hard with no justification. I know some forums with custom settings to strike that perfect balance, like nerfing shots. As long as UT is popular, the improvements and drastic changes to gameplay will not change.
@@Kris_1708 Couldn’t agree more. You have to really mess about with the settings to make it more realistic (if you’re playing against a legendary AI) in order to create realism.
1 minute in and I've already subscribed lol. It feels like EA doesn't care about our complaints as long as it can pump out trash and we still buy it in masses giving them millions in revenue. We can't even blame EA. Imagine if you don't even have to try and people will still buy and spend money on your game earning you millions. They need competition.

What made me decide not to buy eafc next year, after playing almost every edition since 07 is that after j lost interest in fut, i started a player career mode only to find out they added dumb objectives in order to get a contract or transfer. Imagine that ; score 5 bicycle kicks to join real madrid? 😂 what a nonsense
FUT is a fun mode. But to play it year after year with slight tweaks it just doesn’t do it for me. Career mode and player career seems to stagnate after one season.
Good video. Honestly when i stopped buying fifa when it got to fifa 19. (I bought every single fifa from 11 to 19). As a GM mode player first and foremost, I felt like not only it was the lack of innovation, i swear i think they were deliberately removing gameplay elements or modifying them to make them just plain annoying. Like the transfert and resigning market. At first i was hopeful of the change but after i played it i just wanted to play fifa 14 again. I felt like they were killing the non microtransactions game mode in effort to make players go to fut. I still plug my xbox360 to play fifa 11 once in a while to play GM with a young Messi and Ronaldo. And i find like the gameplay is less of a buggy mess than it is in fifa 18 or 19 with random i tackle you but the engine is broken so it goes back in your legs kidda bullshit.
One thing I miss about the older career modes is requesting funds. Or even FIFA 08 when you could choose club sponsors. I can’t understand what the benefit would be to remove these features :( Thank you for taking the time to comment!
One big thing I want changed is the gameplay. Feels too fast and free scoring now. There aren’t really different ways to play. Just pop a through ball and shoot near post. EA games like Madden and NHL have gameplay presents in which you can choose an Arcade, Competitive, or Simulation style gameplay. For me, a Career Mode player, it’s absurd that my gameplay is so similar to FUT, Clubs, and Kickoff. I want that slower play in which some games can end with 1 or 0 goals. I want my goalkeepers and defenders to be in form because they can actually keep clean sheets. I want to have to think about ways to breakdown my opponents that aren’t a quick ball down the wing. I can see why the quick, flashy gameplay is good to keep people active in FUT but I want other options for playing with my friends or by myself.
Nothing you’ve said I disagree with. Career mode gameplay is by far the best. I like Ultimate Team, but it’s so arcadey. With the rumours of 2K doing a football game, I hope it puts abit more pressure on EA to come up with some new ideas, and refined gameplay.
Haven't played any game of soccer/football since FIFA 13 or so... (the one that started the ultimate team in the 1st place)... Haven't played any of them to this day.
*mic drop* I’m not afraid to call it out. I can’t stand battle passes. Initially it was a great idea, but the gaming market is oversaturated in them now. FIFA Street was at its best when it was a bit grimey, rough around the edges. But that’s just my personal opinion.
I played FIFA all the way back in FIFA 14 (i think?) In the PS2 and then stoped because i didn't really care about Football or anything. Years later, in the PS4 i see on ps plus free games FIFA 22, i play it i like it. Next year, see FIFA 23 is out, buy it, dont like it, then EA FC 24 for free in ps plus monthly free games, play it, dont like it. Then i start seeing older FIFA games like 19 and 17 just to have players that retired or some iconic team from those year, buy both games. They are so much better. How do you downgrade so bad in such a short time?

@@ObsessingAgain tbh I don't agree there is always broken moves, dribbles and stupidity in defending. You can cut the ball several times and your opponent manage to take it . for me fifa 23 was much better and also it's my favourite fifa

Congrats - life is sooooo much better without EAFC! World is much larger & enjoyable than a monitor and bad game.

Gameplay was good to start the year - for 1-3 weeks. Then they changed everything for the worse.
I miss fifa 18 Bc that was the last one to have real breakaways
I have a lot of fondness for FIFA 17. FIFA 20 onwards, I’d struggle to tell you what I really like about any of them.
Haven't played any game of soccer/football since FIFA 13 or so... (the one that started the ultimate team in the 1st place)... Haven't played any of them to this day.
The only thing that has improved are the graphics. The game modes have pretty much been identical to previous FIFAS.
