Rear hatch interior panel removal Mitsubishi Outlander 2013 2021

Hi, this is a video to show how to remove the interior panels of the rear hatch of Outlander. This video kind of related to one of my old video about the power rear hatch opener, the starting point anyway. I hope this video will be useful to somebody. Cheers.

I want to darken the chrome trim between the taillights. Is it attached from the inside under the cover?

Yes, it is. You need to undo that center trim from the inside. It held on to by nuts from the inside. Cheers.

Informative video. Just wondering if need to remove the rear panel to remove the Inner tailgate light...or does the light just pull out?

Hi the answer is yes. You need to remove this inside panel to get access to the nuts that hold onto all the fittings outside. You will need to be careful to line up all the external seals around the top is the light cluster before you tie up the nut inside. I was about to make a video on how to remove the lights but family commitments got the better of me. Sorry. Once again, thank you very much for your comment and support. New video will due soon

Hello there! I did it just now.
After you removed the cover, there is a size 10 nut to remove.
After the nut is removed, u can gentle pull it out from the side as there is a white clip there on the light module.
