Gents, this guy is the Morgan Freeman of the motorcycle world. So well spoken and relax. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind words! I need a movie role like Morgan Freeman!
@@RidingandWrenchingMy pleasure. What year is this gorgeous Mustang in the background?
@@RidingWithPierre 1966. I have owned it for about 15 years. I'm the second owner
Lol that’s true
For what you have to pay for a CVO. You shouldn’t have to change anything. Overpriced no doubt
Another great, practical video. You have quickly become one of my favourite motorcycle related youtuubers!
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback!
Im gonna guess the only bad... is the payment 😂
Any payment sucks! The best bike is the one that's paid for!
@@RidingandWrenching can't argue there
As always, a solid honest review. Each upload is gaining huge amounts of respect for your honesty. Love you content, and keep up the great content, Cue.
Thanks Eric! Mean alot from you!
"I don't like to use my butt to break in a seat"...Exactly! I hear this all the time with $700 Plus dollar seats. My Mustang seat was like that, but it's comfortable now after about 2K miles!
Good honest review..Appreciate you Q!
Excellent video and great update on the pros and cons. Great seeing you and meeting your brother.
I had to subscribe, your a pleasure to watch. Thanks
My man, you are a natural, great video!
One of the best and clear review I'd ever seen..Thanks from Italy ✌
Great Video Q. Thanks for the honest update!
Solid video and review. Appreciate your videos.
Rider owner reviews are the best and this one is great! Thanks brother, stay safe.
Thank you! 10,000 mile update is coming soon
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed hearing your impression of the new CVO. Ride safe my friend!!
Thank you! More to come!
Wonderful detail thank you. It seems for those of us who have a sorted staged up RG from the previous generation there is no rush to rush to change.
Great video again,thank you
Thanks, great information!
Great review Que.
I really appreciate the honest feedback. It’s the little things that make a big difference. Enjoy the new bike.
Thank you! There are so many things about this bike that are cool! I am working on another video covering more things that I am learning
Great honest review!!! Good video 👍🏼 congrats on the new bike!
awesome review shipmate.
Enjoy your videos!!
Great video.... I'll be locked in on these videos
Great video, thanks!😇👍
Third video of yours I've watched, very informative, good information and honest opinions.
I'll be 70 in a few months, sold my Harley 8 years ago. I really haven't rode for a long time. My longest trip was a 20 day ride, this included saying at some locations a few days, and a little over 9200 miles on the road. I really like the 2023 Anniversary CVO and was considering purchasing one. First let me say I'm only 5'7" tall and all CVO's put me on my toes even with a western style boot on. This is a big worry as not sure about backing the bike up. It's that big comfortable heated seat I'm sure but who in their right mind wants to give that up.
I broke my back in three places on a job in 2020 and my bake hurts all the time so I rented a Road Glide Ultra for 2 days to see if I could ride. I loved the experience of getting back on the bike but...I paid dearly for that ride. I pur 100 miles on it 5he second day I had it and my back started hurting at about the first 10 minutes and did nothing but get worse. By the time I got home I was in some serious pain. The next day was really bad. I returned the bike and ate some more muscle relaxers and prescription pain relievers. As much as I want that new Harley I'm going to wait and try again in a couple years and see if my back improves. I miss the rides and all the friendships I've had over the years. Keep giving us these great videos, stay safe and enjoy the freedom of riding a motorcycle, the fresh air and view that you can only see on a bike. I wish I could find that photo of the wild mule I saw in the California desert to share with you.
Sorry to hear about your back injury. I wish you a speedy recovery. Did the RG Ultra have a back rest? I find that they help take pressure off my back.
I am hoping to take a west coast ride next summer. I would love to ride PCH from San Diego to SF.
Excellent review and video!!
This is my first time watching one of your video's. You gave out the right information that i need for this CVO. Because i was think about getting me one. Thanks for that.
Glad it was helpful! I really like mine. I don't mind customizing my bike....actually, I enjoy it. The finished product will be a bike "custom made" just for me.
Subscribed, really like the conversation. Everything matters on a ride, I like this content to help make informed decisions from experiences. Thanks for your Navy service Sir
Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on a few more videos on the new bike. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I will have it posted
Thanks for the honest review of the CVO, and thank you for your service to this awesome country.
Thank you!
Thanks for a very informative video! I may have a tip for your gas overflowing.
My Sportster would like to leak gas when filled too full. I added about 1" of clear fuel hose on the end of the vent tube and made sure it fit inside the cap. It lets me fill it fuller before it drains off.
Great video as always
I enjoy all your videos.. very pleasant 2 vu.. have blessed day.
Great update
I see you got the saddle bag guards and tour pack already. Looks great 👍
Just bought the twin to yours, including the tourpak....appreciate your insight sir!

Great review 👌 keep up the great work
This was a great review on The Good, The Bad, & The Awesome on this bike! Cue, you are always so nice and neat!
Thanks again!
Good info Sir. Just looked at one Saturday. Hummm, still thinking...lol
You had me laughing in a great way about the seat! Thanks for the review.
😂glad you liked it!
Your style is so relaxed and really informative.
Wish I would have caught up with you here in ATL.
I will be back! My family lives in Atlanta. I am down there every month to visit. I'll announce my next visit and hope to be able to meet up with some riders
You have such a good speaking voice. Great video on the bike.
Like your comments, still waiting for mine to arrive.
Incredible bike review! I'm the rider who asked you about Android Auto last week. I was glad to hear you comment about how ridiculous it is that Apple requires the use of the headset. Apple and Samsung have really gone the wrong direction with Car Play and Android Auto.
Hi from Egypt.... love your honest review... keep on :)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello from Memphis!
I’ve accidentally turned off my 2018 street glide several times while riding in the highway. That button should be on the switch console. Great video boss.
Cvo looks great Tour pack looks good.
Good jobQ!!
Nice video sir. I love the bike.
all things i think it will just take some getting use too ! Good video
Agreed....except the seat! I'm going to do something to it....either replace it or "fix" it
Try utilizing speed volume. It should allow you to get the radio louder. Worked for me on my street glide standard.
I have to do a pre-trip/start sequence in order to get CarPlay to work properly on my bike. I use the Harley Navigation for my trips, but like to keep Waze open on the screen. The will work simultaneously. I test rode the new CVO last week. Man what bike.
Mannn...I absolutely love your channel and your honesty..and I do have highway pegs on my 2020 roadglide special 😉,but I remember vividly telling u about how upgrading that factory sound system would be a challenge, forget getting a aftermarket headunit, bigger speakers and a more powerful amp,and hope and pray..u can get it flashed,I have 10 hertz speakers and 2 sound digital amps with a Sony7000 and I love it!! Super loud and clear, clean sound. Looking forward to seeing more content..love your channel 👊🏽
Upgrading this system is going to be interesting. I think a couple extra speakers and another amp would do the trick. NVS Audio did a nice video about the challenges with this system. I will be working with Volunteer Audio once they figure this system out
@@RidingandWrenching 10/4...good deal...let me know what u think of the upgrades..duhh...I know u will...lol!!! Be safe my brotha
Looking good on that CVO! Nice touching base here in Atlanta!
I'll be back! Next time, let's get some riding in!
Another great review! Thank you Cue. We buy these top of the line CVO’s and still have to spend 10K to get them where we want them lol
I would do it anyway!! Buying accessories and customizing is part of the ownership experience
I have turned my Heritage and Electra Glide Standard off accidentally just going for my right turn signals. So I hear you on that one. I am glad I didn't panic. I just laughed out off, turned it back on and proceeded in my turn like a pro. No one knew... until now. Haha
Ditto! It hasn't happened much since that first couple of weeks.
Good video 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨✨
I'm in Memphis and just got my '23 CVO SG. Showcasing it on my Ramblings talk channel and later on my Reviews channel! Maybe see you out!
Post a link to your channel! Did you buy the street glide from Southern Thunder?
@@RidingandWrenching I got mine from Bumpus of Memphis. I have a Homesteading/Outdoors main channel as well as a few other channels where I do How-Tos/Product reviews, Vlogging and Faith based content. My bike content will mostly be on my vlogging and howto/review channel eventually. Look forward to meeting you out and about!
I have the best radio solution on my Road King. It's a $35 XM radio. I plug earbuds into it. Its fidelity is better than any fairing radio traveling at speed. Better yet, it doesn't disturb the peace when riding thru neighborhoods and what not. On the downside, it isn't the purdiest solution, but for those worried about such things, I'm sure more care could be taken to conceal the antenna and wiring than I put into it.
Thanks for the review. What I got out of it is this bike has a nice TV screen. And for $55K your gonna have to spend another $1500+ to get it where it should have been. The off switch and cruise control is no small matter, man! Those 2 items can get you killed.
Enjoy and be careful.
My 2018 Road Glide does the same with canceling the cruise when you hit a bump
Great job in your show, extremely helpful. I agree 100% about the seat, it is not that great. I am hoping that Saddlemen comes out with one soon. Have you changed the oil yet on your bike? I purchased the same bike but only have 600 miles on it. I was looking at the oil filter and am already stressing about changing it LOL; because of all the components surrounding the filter I believe oil is going to go everywhere. Have you changed your filter yet yourself? I put my radio on HipHop and it makes it much louder, but still am going to buy the 6x9s for the bags. My stereo/media goes in and out due to connection I assume, which irritates me, hopefully I can figure out a system to prevent it. I read the manual and don't like the way we have to update the infotainment system, keep us posted if you do an update to the system. Keep up the great work!!!
I hear the radio loud and clear at 90+ mph. Try changing the sound settings. They have several options. Classical, jazz, hip hop etc. Change setting to Hip Hop and you will hear it fine. One of my favorite things about my new CVO
I will play with the radio tonight to see if maybe it's a setting that's causing the problem for me.
I’m laughing at the topping it off comment. I always top mine off. On my previous bike i hit the switch by accident in the dark at 70mph when a woman cut me off. I panic trying to find it. I made it s point to make it muscle memory. Thanks for your honesty.
Love too see it
first thing I did for mine was order KW slip ons. Quiet is an understatement lol
My cluster wigged out on my 2023 CVO RG. Four key cycles later it returned.
My wife and I agree w you about the seat, it’s hard… and pull it off and look how it was made very little foam. The motor company does not make another seat yet😢
Diggin the tour pak
I can't wait to add speakers to it!
I am hopping to break my seat in on my not to long daily commute. I have no long trios plans for this year. I am kind of surprised the back rest did not fit
NVS AUDIO is a custom car / motorcycle audio and fabrication shop located in Roselle NJ. No job is to big and no install is ever too small. We are Master Mecp certified and hold a degree in Electronics.
Great video Cue! I had no idea the throttle can be used to cancel cruis control. I learned something new. Also, regarding the music volume. Have you tried playing the music from a USB thumb drive on the new CVO? I definitely notice a difference in sound quality and loudness when playing music from a thumb drive. Also, when I've played music from smartphone via Bluetooth or Android Auto I have to remember to turn up the volume on the smartphone to max. Ride safe ride often and keep motovlogging! Glen
It's pretty standard on most bikes with CC, now. I've even owned a bike for 40K miles and 7 years and I never knew it!
The whole interweb !! 😂
Great review 👊👍
Thanks brother! Make sure you catch the Easter egg at the end of the video!
Time to grade sounds - change out the speaker in front and back put that Amp in the Fairing and will hear it for sure-lol!!!! - I change to all Hertz stuff - Love your show!!!
I want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I replace anything. It really seems like it should be louder....especially since there is an amp!
Great video! I would love to have a CVO but it sounds like Harley has a few things to learn about their buttons and their positioning, so maybe it will be resolved for the 2024 models! Interesting about the filling up of the tank. My 2 previous Harley's, like you, I would fill the tank to the ultimate maximum! Now on my 2021 Fat Boy 114, it cannot be filled to the max because of the gas puddles like you explained. For a while there I thought I had sprung a leak. Now I fill up the bike from home via a gas can, and I can get it pretty close to full and no puddles. Cheers
I'll get use to the buttons. It's challenging when I switch between my 2 bikes....I have to retrain my brain each time!
I wonder why they changed the gas tank? It's amazing how many subtle but significant changes were made with this bike
Beautiful Bike Brother Cue... I wish...
Look Good
It's funny to me that most people who spend the kind of money you did seldom criticize or have a negative thing to say about their purchase. A few years back, I spent a few thousand dollars (and 3 different brands) on my 15 RGS upgrading the stock suspension and it still sucked. I admitted that for the money i spent i expected much better results and had plenty of fan boys defending their "brand." As i said, seldom do people admit their disappointments. Im sure you will get the bike set up to your preference, and enjoy many miles to come. Thanks for your honest opinions. Congrats on your purchase. Great looking bike!
The things that I have identified so far, don't give me a negative perception of my bike. I actually love it! I fully expected to find things I don't like (as I have with every purchase I have ever made). I will make this bike 100% custom for me....some won't like it, but I will!
Sounds like a little bit of give and take as far as what you're used to. I'm sure you'll get used to it though. Good info
Good-Day; Riding and Wrecking: Robert Simmons is now the 2nd TH-camr to purchase the New CVO that where in the crew of TH-camrs that ride the CVO in Milwaukee test ride.
I will do a video with Robert sometime soon talking about the new bikes
The stereo in Harleys are like anything else on the bike. It's meant to be replaced and upgraded.
I have the Soundstream head unit, 700amp and diamond audio speakers.
Oh my goodness!!!! I'm a rolling concert hall now!
We coming to Memphis this Friday for the roundup.
Awesome! I'll be there
Uh oh! About to put it to 'em! Put it to 'em!!
Thanks for this video. At first, on my 2022 Street Glide ST the seat was very hard too. But it broke in after a 100 km ride, and since it is very comfortable. I am y bit worried with your comment and hope that my butt is harder than yours since I am expecting my CVO next september ;-D I am thinking about a tour pack too, I appreciate to put the helmet inside when I ride my Ultra. Do you have an advice, I will be riding solo ?
Interesting about the 18 RG seat. I need one for my 14 RK so maybe ill look for a stocker RG. Thanks! Wait, got one you wanna sell? LOL
I sat on the CVO Street Glide at the 120th Anniversary and my first notice was how hard the seat was.
The seat is firm! Not the best for long distance riding. I love the style though!
Hello how are you I love your content I learn a lot from you i am in Memphis for the round up road in from Chicago if you are there i would like to meet you if that is possible until then GOD bless and ride safe.
Reach out to me on Instagram!
Hello CUE, I have a 2022 CVO RG Limited. Same issue with the sound. At 65+ the sound system became just noise. Mine stock has an amp in the left saddlebag, 100W per channel. What I found out was the Rockford speakers provided were 4 ohm. This limited the speakers to 50W per channel. I added the bag speakers and put the Rockford stage 2 speakers in the bags and fairing, which are 2 ohm. This gave me 100W per channel, much louder, but the sound quality was awful. I added a second amp in the right bag to power the tourpak speakers. All HD parts were used.
So now I have two front speakers and 4 rear. The talk has been that when the engine is running, Harley clips the bass in the EQ. If you flash the radio for two amps and 6 speakers this will not happen. I had the radio flashed and WOW. The sound is awesome. I can ride at 70-75 mph and with the radio at 50% volume, I can hear my tunes perfectly with plenty of midrange and bass. Of course all of this set me back 2K. This may give the charging system a workout, it sure gave my wallet one.
I had a 2020 RG limited that I took to Stage 3, 121c.i.. Still got 43-45 MPG at 70 mph. Increased to 50 mpg at 60 mph. It was better than I expected. Getting a little better mileage on the 117c.i. CVO. The 121 was an awesome experience, glad it is now stock on the CVO.
Great review - thanks
Great feedback! I have had several people tell me that I have a setting wrong. I found that changing the EQ to "Harley Signature" provides more volume. I had initially changed the eq to "Custom" and took away the bass (since you can't hear it at speed anyway). The Harley Signature has lots of bass when the bike is parked. I was concerned that all that bass would damage the speakers at max volume. If you are right, maybe Harley has this programmed to reduce the bass when the bike is moving.
I am certain that I can better fuel economy if I slowed down! 😂 even at 80, I am getting better fuel economy than my 18 RG
I've ordered a CVO Street Glide in Sydney. The info on the buttons is a bit concerning though.
Volunteer audio! Jay.
I have already spoke to him! I'm waiting for him to get the testing done on his CVO
Great breakdown.
Are those the stock handlebars?
The handlebars are stock. The height is perfect for me.
Thank You, great video. One thing I am confused about is that you mention the apple carplay requirement in this and your unboxing videos but you also list the "Apple Carplay Jumper" in both video descriptions, have you tried using this to overcome this requirement? Is the head unit harness different or have you just not tested this ? I am same, want my waze onscreen but have no interet in siri, etc. but ran jumpers on other bikes and they work perfect for $12.
Apple requires a microphone to use CarPlay. In the boom GTS, the jumper "tricks" the radio into thinking a mic is attached. The new radio uses wireless mic through Bluetooth. The jumper won't work on this radio
I was shocked by the "flimsyness" of the saddle bags. Open the lid and the sidewall flexes way too easily. BTY, I really like your videos!
I noticed this too when I looked at one last weekend. That hinge has always been a little flexible on the bags. For $55k you would think they could fix that.
Another great video Cue! I too am all Apple and use the Whim and Harley Sena 50 in my saddlebag with my 2019 RGS. I have a Cicada system with a DSP amp but I’ve noticed if you stream Apple Music in Lossless hardwired the signal won’t clip as quickly compared to Bluetooth wireless so it will allow a higher volume with cleaner sound. You may already use this setup but thought I’d share just in case.
I'm going to try that tonight! Thanks for the tip!
You are probably aware but just be sure you have Lossless selected on your iPhone in Settings as well 😂
@@GPA7 turn it on? I had it "off" I'll try it....I hope that works
Correct. In Settings select Music, then Audio Quality under Audio. Make sure it’s on and Cellular Streaming is Lossless. Bluetooth is compressed so this will make a big difference!
@@GPA7 that's awesome! I'll let you know how it goes!
To me the gas cap opens the wrong direction, I've had a bike that had this and it should open towards the front. Sounds like to me Harley changed a lot of things and not necessarily for the better...
Goldwing had the right idea for the cruise control, turning the throttle did not effect the cruise unless you turned towards idle. But even then you were met with some resistance. If you wanted to pass while using cruise just roll the throttle open and the bike would slow back down to the cruise speed that you set once you completed the pass...
At that price ,everything should be perfect,my opinion
Great vid! Dang that's a lot of issues for a CVO bike. Uncomfortable seats - a Harley staple - are infuriating. I'm with you on topping off the gas. Low powered amp makes zero sense.
I'm going to do another update on the audio system. I had the amp setting set wrong. Once I corrected the settings, the volume is fine
Just a few comments for thought. I left Maryland 2 weeks ago, driving down the east coast to Florida and across the gulf coast to Houston, avoiding the interstate unless there was absolutely no choice. I don't have the CVO, but do have a a '21 Ultra Limited . I agree completely on the poor audio volume and while you probably wouldn't like it, I solved the problem for me. I added the WHIM, the Sena 50S, and I use in-ear monitors, which both completely eliminate wind noise and allow me to keep the volume down to where I am not doing damage to my hearing. As long as the volume is down, I can still hear things going on around me. Yes, it is illegal in most states, but I haven't had any issues with law enforcement.
I also agree that HD did a fantastic job on their Infotainment screens. I have not found a situation where I can't read and interact with it. The only downfall is fingerprints. If the sun is behind me, the fingerprints glow and obscure what is behind them, but that is a me problem (oily fingers), not a screen problem .
As for Carplay, it isn't Apple's fault. They make an interactive product that we are trying to use for a different purpose. The whole point of Carplay is to have hands-free interaction with out apps, and it works fantastically well when used with a microphone. We, as riders, want to use just a portion of the capabilities and as such, don't want to use it as designed, but that isn't Apple's fault. Use it as designed and it is great, use it incorrectly and you can't blame Apple when it doesn't work.
Love your Navy flags, I teach at the academy.
All of your points are excellent! I intended to talk about fingerprints but I forgot to put it on my notes! The fingerprint issue is true of most touch screens. The CVOs already gave the WHIM. I will probably put the Sena in my full face helmet....but I usually wear a half helmet in the summer. I rode someone else's 2020 CVO bike Ultra Limited and found the volume on his stereo to be low as well. I'm probably spoiled by the custom system in my 18 RG.
I can't imagine any stereo sounding good with an 80/90MPH wind blowing by, so didn't even try to upgrade it. The only thing I could do was go to the in-ear monitors, which cut the wind noise out and sound awesome (these are what musicians wear onstage now). I wear a half helmet most of the time, but in the rain or cold, I put a full face on that has speakers and it is ok, though not as high end as the in-ear monitors.
Hey amigo, what’s the part number of your highway pegs. If I look for it in the HD website it tells me it wouldn’t fit me 2022 CVO but you made it work on your 2023 CVO and the chopped engine are identical. Thanks very much for your help!
www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/short-angled-adjustable-highway-peg-mount-kit/p/50500168
I thought I heard on another TH-cam channel there was a setting for throttle response which will probably allow you to slow down your throttle response and not allow you to cancel out your cruise control.
I like having the option to roll back to throttle to cancel cruise control, but this one is a little more sensitive than the older model. I'll adjust to it. I don't think it will be a big deal in the long run
Another well done video and some very interesting points. If this heinous MoCo stops being my nemesis and actually ships my CVO, I'll be paying particular attention to a couple of these.
I have a Pan America in addition to my Road Glide, and It's very noticeable how many design points on the CVO (Fuel Cap, Cruise, Control Pod design, etc.) have been carried forward from the Pan America. I do like the change to the Cruise, mainly because the Cruise switch on my Road Glide has always felt very fragile.
I wonder how much of the engine tech carried over from the Pan America🧐
@@RidingandWrenching I don't know the whole spectrum of what may have found its way across, and I don't know that very much did, but the Revo 1250 in my Pan America does have VVT. And, as far as I can tell from about a year on the road and in the dirt, the Revo 1250 knocks it out of the park. I would have maybe been worried about Harley's adoption of VVT in the 121 if not for the great success so far with my PA.
@@zxjockey question abt your PA. Does putting the kick stand down shut the motor off? Will the motor start in gear with the kick stand down?
@@RidingandWrenching Yes, that is unfortunately another parallel. Bike in gear, engine running, side stand goes down, engine stalls. And won't start in this condition. On an off-road ride this actually is very inconvenient sometimes! I know more than a few PA owners have hacked the switch to solve this.
