@@NukaWorldOverboss I disagree. Thw Burmeister is missing something. This my third Benz n The Harmon Just sounds clean, Tight n boomy in the bass. The Burmeister just sounds like a hollow bass. It’s weird.

I have Herman kardon on my E Class and it's nice but the Burmester system in my GLC is an amazing sound system. I mean both are great. But I prefer the Burmester. Hands down 😁

I have the Burmester surround 3D system in my Mercedes. I love it BUT when I’m driving I have to remind myself that the subwoofer is up front so I don’t keep thinking that there’s something wrong with the car since the bass vibrates through the steering wheel!
The king for me though was the Bose Beta system in my ‘93 S500. You could use that thing for a rock concert

SORRY GUYS. I BOUGHT CAR WITH BURMESTER BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD SOUND REALLY NICE. IT IS REALLY UNDERWHELMING FOR THE COST. IT NOT EVEN LOUD. SOUNDS CLOUDY IN A SENSE. REALLY DISSAPOINTED

@@victorlosoya5003 i agree with you. Bought GLE AMG with Burmester Basic System and it's just terrible. i'm goint to fit it with other after market ones, e.g. FOCAL, MATCH oder STEG. Even adding a woofer in the trunk, as the rear passenger don't even experience some kind of bass since the two "woofer" are in the footer area of driver and passenger. Don't know exactly what mercedes was thinking with this "basic" 13-Speaker 590W system. It's just cloudy and lack of mids and low. Hopefully my assumption by chaning it with a plug-n-play system will bring some improvement. Cheers!
@@ViaRinazzi Do you have an idea of what I could do with the sub in back deck of my c350? This has Harmon logic 7 but sub blown n can’t seem to find proper replacent. Mercedes wants 800$ for new one. Not going to happen.
I HAVE TWO MERCEDES. ONE HAS HARMON AND OTHER BURMESTER. I THINK HARMON WINS BECAUSE IT HAS DEEP, RICH BASS. I ALSO LIKE THE CONCEPT OF THE SUB IN BACK RATHER THAN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. BOTH SOUND NICE BUT HARMON LOUDER N KICKS BETTER BASS.

Harman kardon is the best, provides Crystal clear audio & base 🔥🔥 but the burmester provides better 3d sound surround effect and overall good output out of these two. So it’s wins hands down in my opinion burmester 💯
Tried both and the burmster budweiser audio sounded awful compared to Harman kardon logic 7. Don’t know why Mercedes downgraded from hk and b&o sound system

The sound through a video doesnt do a 1/10 of the justice to the harmon kardon. It is an outer world experience and is nothing like the video! You will only understand actually listening to it yourself. Also the loudness capabilities of the harmon kardon is actually worrying. Its deafening at about 40% volume 😂!

Not same, the watts of the speakers and the amount of speakers compared to harman kardon is a HUGE difference. You can't judge based on this video. Burmester is S tier and Harmon Kardon is outdated. I've experienced this in the MB dealership myself and it's WAYYY impressive!

Nice try, but you can only compare hifif components in the same room under the same conditions. S-Class and BMW 7 are different designs and have different material inside. But i can asure you, with a little finetuning both systems can be exactly tuned to the same hearing, and you will notice no difference.

I came here by searching when did Mercedes switch from HK to BM...
Whoever runs Burmeister is completely deaf at 6-8khz. They must have listened to too much Rammstein at 120DB. I bought a 2016 GLC300 and was appalled at the HORRIBLE sound of the Burmeister system. I was leaving a 2005 C230k...with HK...which was one of the best sounding car audio systems I had ever heard. Granted I don't listen to hip hop...and I'm not looking for a "Spatial" experience. I immediately flatten all of the equalization in anyone's car to start with because that is ground zero. Everyone turns the bass and treble up as loud as they will go....which is...dumb.
I just want a good sounding, reasonably accurate reproduction of what the artists intended when they made the recordings. That's not possible with any mercedes vehicle 2016 and forward for sure. The 3 band equalization is USELESS. None of the eq points are anywhere you would want to make adjustments. I have the bass in my car at 8:00 on the knob...flat is 12:00 and you STILL can't get rid of the mud. I seriously won't buy another Mercedes until they lose this horrible sonic nightmare.

In my opinion, the HK in the BMW 7 series is way more balanced and sounds clearer.
One of the best sound systems I've ever listened to was the Bowers and Wilkins in a Volvo XC90. It was a rental car I had on vacation in Norway. Every song sounded like an orchestra and in combination with the beautiful scenery of Norway, an experience I will never forget.
Also in the new BMW 7 series you can get the Bowers and Wilkins system but it costs more than 5000€ extra in Germany.
I'm in the music industry. I've worked in recording studios professionally for 44 years. I've produced, contributed to and collaborated on multi platinum-grammy award winning material. You simply CAN NOT get rid of the 6-8khz hot spots in these MB systems. Someone could make a FORTUNE with an audio equalizer app for the phone that goes in between the player and the system. Then at LEAST when you were sync'd you could get it to sound reasonable. Wouldn't help other sources but it would be something. If someone wants to add stupid unrealistic bass and super treble (JBL did a survey in the 70s and found most people preferred mud and zing and built it into their home versions of their studio monitors) that's great. But don't force the issue. Frankly the system is borderline unlistenable. :-)

I seriously think the whole put every control via touchscreen is really making things cheaper to manufacture and stupid millennials out of control who put Futuristic aesthetics over actual functionality. It’s touchscreen menu insanity. No it’s not better to require multiple taps on a flat surface with no Tactile feel to give your fingers a point of reference. You must take your eyes off the road to look . The volume knob accomplishes this far more efficiently and safer , why introduce more distraction and unnecessary movements to accomplish the same task especially in a moving vehicle. Not even the same as multiple tapping a volume button will not give you precise control . It jumps it’s vague . Tech design totally peaked in the early late 90s - mid 00’
