First, this video (and probably the previous one) outlines about 90% of people out there on dating apps.... and I wouldn't necessarily call these urban legends, but rather "facts" of social dating apps... as in the type of people you WILL encounter hands down. Urban legends (at least to me) are stories that are passed down but either aren't necessarily true, or have not been fully verified. Many of these things mentioned here are verifiable and have happened to countless people... This is why if you're going to use tinder for, well, that's stuff, use a hotel for a while (at least long enough for you to figure out what type of person they are). I mean if you're going to their place, that may be less of a concern probably.
I have never used Tinder however I decided to try and use a couple of dating apps and websites. I find it very intimidating, because like a hundred people respond and I don't know what it is with guys, I have found that almost 90% of them are saying that I am their soulmate they think I am finally their one and only before I've even spoken to them. How would they know that? What if I'm a total b****? I don't know it seems like it takes too long or perhaps my phone is too slow to go through all the profiles and actually have meaningful dialogue with anyone that doesn't seem to have a delusional perspective of how the relationship should start with marriage and then we get to meet each other.
I've also dealt with a few "pushy" guys and it's annoying. You're just looking for a romantic connection, and think this guy seems okay, until he starts leaning in for a kiss or getting touchy-feely. It's like dude, no, GTFO. That usually turns me off pretty quick. Unless things are going well and I like him right away, but if he makes me uncomfortable I'm not gonna want to get physical with him on the first date. I met my fiance on POF and we've been together for 5 years. I guess POF must be old school now. Lol.
