Never knew Epcot planned for renewable energy all the way back in the 60’s. Very ahead of the time

There's a parallel universe where Walt Disney didn't die and Disney built Epcot City. The city was full of Futuro houses, Venturo houses and Hexacube homes and RV van homes.

I’ll build this city someday. I have a feeling it’s what I’m going to. I’ve always wanted to see EPCOT come to a reality. I’ll do it. I’m 22 and got likely bare minimum of 4 decades or (hopefully) more than that my biggest hope is to live to 120 years old, I think I was meant to finish Walt’s dream.

It's like Walts brain was a telephone to the future

It's crazy how close Disney and Gruen's ideas were

It was certainly intentional. Disney was inspired by Gruen’s writings on urban planning. What Disney added was a lot of flare and expanded the ideas of have suburb-like neighborhoods that were easily accessible to the downtown area.

Epcot City could still happen. She'll be built someday.

No one could figure out how to monetize it except Walt.

Give Walt credit he was a man who really did put his money where his mouth was. Which is more than what can be said about most celebrities nowadays. When they see a problem with society they just complain about it on social media. However I do not think Epcot city wouldn't have been a good idea and would crumble under the weigh of it's own ambition. I'm not saying that Walt was planning this out of an evil ambition but some times the biggest mistakes can come from good intentions.
