- John Lennon's family and childhood has always been a subject of interest for many people, filled with tragedy and mystique. When you think of the sister of John Lennon, the first one who comes to mind is likely Julia Baird, right? Well, there's surprisingly more to it than that.
It wasn't until 1966 that a 22-year-old nurse living in England discovered through her birth certificate that she was actually John Lennon's sister separated at birth.
She was sitting in her living room watching a special about the Beatles on TV, when an old family friend would say something that would forever change her life: “You see John right there? That’s your brother.”
She stared at the screen in shock, seeing a striking resemblance that she never noticed before, and it was only then that she thought to herself, “yes, it really is true.” She began looking through dozens of magazines and newspapers, cutting out any photos of John Lennon that she could find and hid them in the drawer of her bedroom. She was terrified that she would be betraying her parents if they ever found out what she had learned.
Pedersen was currently working as a nurse and already had intentions to get married,
which required a birth certificate. She knew that her mother kept a tin box in her bedroom containing all the family’s documents. When she was alone, she peaked inside and found an aging adoption paper labeled “Liverpool County Court.” It read her full name “Lillian Ingrid Maria Pedersen” and her birthday. She then looked at the top of the print and saw a second name that made her heart sink:
“Victoria Elizabeth Lennon.”
Confronted with so much overwhelming information, she started to cry.
Was her whole life a lie?
Why was she given away?
How did all of this happen?

Missing Persons Cases are always interesting for me, How a person can just disappear
So much of John's life, was so sad. Unsurprisingly, it led to a man with very ambivalent feelings about family life.
I swear that John had lots of unknown siblings. Honestly, he had such a terrible childhood (like his mother dying, father leaving, living with Aunt Mimi).
She met both sisters and she has met Yoko and Sean. John also had brothers David and Robin.
John 's family was messed up but so are alot of families.
I just watched a video of her where she says she was flown in to New York by Yoko and met her.

Ingrid (originally Victoria) had her book published by a French publisher. In it she says she believes her biological father was not someone called Taffy Williams, and that her adoptive father, a Norwegian mariner, strongly resembled her. Her adoptive mother Margaret who was from Liverpool, asked her not to contact John Lennon and Ingrid respected her wishes out of love and loyalty to Margaret.

Wow! I'm a massive, massive Beatles fan, but somehow I've never heard this story before today. :O
Very interesting interview with John's half sister julia Baird about this. Why would she try to contact yoko but not her blood sisters? I hate to say it but seems maybe money . I was gonna say maybe yoko to learn about john , but his sisters could tell her a lot & any aunts of his that were still alive.
This is a great well researched video. Thank you very much I love John Lennon. I believe John really wanted to find her. He seems like deep down he was missing real true family roots. She looks exactly like the mom Julia and John. I’m glad Yoko met her and she met her half sisters. Sad John missed the chance to finally meet her.
