I found this sound after trying a couple others that didn’t work. After 5 minutes, maybe less, the scratching, knawling and squeaking came to an abrupt hault! I heard what sounded like running and THEY DIDNT COME BACK AS LONG AS THE SOUND FREQUENCY WAS PLAYING!! I was so skeptical but willing to try anything. I’m so glad I did!!! This worked so fast! I couldn't believe it! I run a music production studio, and I have powerful speakers. I pumped it up as loud as I could, and the rat in the ceiling above me stopped scratching, and I heard it take off. Thank you for making this!
@Rogier - No. There's nothing there in the TH-cam video above about 15.9KHz. It's not the device, it's the TH-cam AAC compression. Everything above 16KHz is cut off by TH-cam's codec before it compresses it and puts it on site for people to view. Recovery of this discarded data is not possible. If you look at all of the "Hearing tests" on TH-cam, they don't work either, for this very reason.
PEACE AT LAST omfg... these dudes have been the worst upstairs neighbors for the past three days!! Running around, scratching crap, dropping stuff, wrestling, moving their furniture around (lol) and god knows what. I’ve been doing research all day since the wrestling match Wednesday morning and almost gave up on ultrasonic repellent as well as sleep .. but I found this guys channel like an hour ago through google. It is freaking 5am.. been going through to find the one that’s right cuz some of them I hear every single click and this particular one is now 21 minutes in and the clicking is minimal. I haven’t heard really anything except the now waking birds chirping. I am confident enough to be able to play this and get some sleep! Thank you so much I’m saving this in my playlists for life haha and I have subscribed. My recommendation for these vids, I’ve heard people say something about the commercials going on full blast every so often. I have premium so I don’t have that problem. It’s been a really bad year for mice so far, there will probably be a bad winter ahead, this works everytime I’ve had an issue with mice near my bedroom! Just make sure to turn up the quality and you’re good 👍
Dont worry i found sollution for that, make full bath water put some nutscream and make wood to make rats up to the bath, i found 2days later 10rats in bath. Later no rats.

In the past week, I had the mouse traps out. Caught 3. Then tonight at like 4:30 AM I heard scratching in walls. Pretty sure any place for them to get inside the house is blocked, so they won’t die, but now I’m stuck with the scratching noises in my wall right next to my head. They have gone quiet after this has played for a bit.
Thank you, I just don't want the ads coming on at full blast every 10 minutes in the middle of the night and wake up the whole neighbourhood. I play this on my smart tv TH-cam app so might not be able to block ads.
So what I figured out from my rat problem. Rats hate the smell of bleach and ammonia> ammonia specifically smells like predator pee to them. Block all points of entry for them even if the hole seems small block it with steel wool they won’t chew through that. Plaster in Paris mixed with flour or corn meal and some sort of flavouring such as cocoa powder, hot chocolate mix, chicken noodle soup base, powdered sugar, cheese powder or powdered peanut butter. The plaster hardens in their stomach blocking intestinal stuff. Not harmful to any other animals that may eat them as the plaster will already be hardened. They suggest leaving water out with the lovely meal prepared for your furry friends as the powder will make them thirsty and they will seek out water after eating the powder mix. The more the eat the better but if you can only place the powder out they’ll seek their water source out after their meal. Also wear gloves while cooking for them for hygiene purposes and to not leave your scent as they have very sensitive noses. I change the flavourings every few days and I place it where it will be dry and where they seem to frequent so only the rats eat said mix.
This seriously worked!!! Watched them run away from it. Now it's part of my nightly routine! No more varmints, never been happier! Best part is I didnt hear a thing only they did!!Yahoo!!

I hear it too no matter which speaker is used, t's very high and has a quality like the screeching whine of train wheels grinding against the metal of the tracks but continuous and with a faster "tempo," very distinct from the ringing in the ears/tinnitus experience, and it is accompanied by a pressure and headache too.
Agreed. I was shocked to feel the high pitch using another video that included 15kHz tone. It was like my brain was uncomfortable! So, I closed that video and found this. I hope this doesn't hurt my hearing.
The comments on these are therapeutic and thankful i am not alone in the terror these lil beings create. I recently had one show up in my car On my steering wheel. I used moth balls and havent had a prob since. Talk about horror show. Thankfully it happened before i started my car. The last couple weeks a mouse in The house has kept us up. Meaning one of my two dogs keeps trying to find him but unsuccessful. I think she and the mouse have some sort of a deal going on. It just happened to me!! I felt some weight getting closer to my head and heard some sniffing. I was in my room with my covers over my head and tge lights off to handle a migraine. I don't need this shit!
I felt something on my had when I was half asleep, so I turned around he jumps of my head on top of pillows. I grabbed my controller and tried to smash him. He squeaked as to say fu and was gone. But he still scratches and now I always think he's under my bed. I think I have ptsd. I caught all except this guy won't go for any traps. I tried evert single one. I blocked every hole and I still feel like he gets in. First year with mice and it sucks. I'm sick to and need my rest and I slept in my chair for a week.

I used another recordings for a couple of days and thought it might be working. I also rubbed peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils along the baseboards. Apparently it's a pest repellent. (The smell isn't really too obnoxious.) I didn't see the little bugger for a couple of days, but then he scampered through again. I noticed a very slim opening where the wall meets the floor in a corner of the living room. The mouse was scampering in from that side of the room. One suggestion is to block up any opening with steel wool (mice can't chew through it). I also added drops of peppermint/eucalyptus essential oil into the steel wool. Half an hour ago, I heard the mouse scratching on a different wall. Apparently blocking that opening did work, but he isn't done with my apartment yet. I've been running the sweeper and tapping the wall whenever I hear the scratching. I just found this recording. So far he's still scratching. Fingers crossed this recording works! I'll check in later if it does. (Pest control comes in a couple of days.)
Mice can pull on steel wool and it corrodes. However, similar products made of copper can have longer strands, including one I used around my laundry vent to the outside.
I've heard field mice running around in the attic everyday for months (all the houses attics join and are open so they come and go every time the field is harvested) and as of yesterday i havnt heard one russle!!!
spearmint chewing gum in little pieces placed in cupboards under the sinks and appliances and around your indoor walls . The gum gets caught in their digestive tracks and they cant digest gum so they die , its cruel but there really is no nice way to kill anything . you dont need traps for the gum just place it along the walls they will smell it from a mile away . Also if you can get something that will make the floor rumble 24/7 that keeps them away as well
Glen Gordon I agree with the rumbling cause I stay In a apartment and the ppl below me has a nice handfull of kids and they haven't been home in a couple weeks I would guess cause it's been quiet. But out of no where this morning I here hella running/rumbling and right after I start seeing mice in my unit and we keep it clean just to prevent them now there running crazy tryna find some where cause the kids back home disturbing there piece 🤦🏾♂️ you can tell they don't wanna stay in my unit cause we keep it clean and bleached but now they just running around like they lost 🤷🏾♂️

Ok I have a cautious approval of this. This past week every single night I had been pestered by the scurrying of rats in the early hours. I'm a light sleeper and this was purgatory. I put this on last night and not one rodent did I hear! Now I am hoping that this was because of this being played but I'll hold off judgement yet. I just played it through my phone and sound wasn't maxed out either. I'll report back in a few days
My BirdNet sonogram app is showing a frequency of roughly 13.5kHz. It also shows a band of noise around 18kHz. The sonogram doesn't go higher than 18k. So, why is it showing lower frequency? Either the phone is not sensitive enough, the software is wrong, or my computer is not generating the right noises (due to either the wrong frequencies in the video or a hardware issue).

Well I just heard a squirrel gnawing on something in the wall and banged wall with broom and it came back. Played this and another sound generator (set for 20,134 Hz) for 5 minutes and the gnawing sound is GONE. What do you know?
pretty sure a mouse crawled onto my chest while i was sleeping. In my sleep I noticed it then grabbed whatever it was (felt squishy) and chucked it off my bed. Then when i went to look to see if anything was on the side of my bed, nothing was there. Grabbed my cat and kept him in the room and when I came back in he was in the other corner of the room trying to catch something. Talk about gross.

I was wondering whether my ears were insensitive or my speakers' tweeters didn't go that high, so I recorded this to see if any sound wave came up on cool edit pro, turning the sampling up to 192k and there was no high frequency sine wave appearing in the recording, leading me to believe youtube audio isn't a high enough bitrate to capture these frequencies.
Lol or your recording software is unable to recieve sounds of this frequency or flat out ignores them my gf can hear it but i can not so theres at least some merit to youtube i spose
I have one playing on my tv and one playing on my phone. 2 different ones. Tomorrow, I'll buy spring traps. I can't deal with the stress any longer. They definately did STFU now, though! My boys and I, our ears are screeching, but rather this than THAT horrid noise! Try different 2 videos simutaneously. It is working for me. Thank you, been hearing them for a week at least! (Already had pest control here!). Side note, the pest control put out bait in plastic holders. I could hear them tossing the plastic containers around in the ceiling that night--that's how annoying they have been. 😱

I bought some of the most expensive units hoping for some sort of effect on the Rodents that were getting into my house , and to my surprise and horror, I witnessed the very little Basterds sitting right there in front of me and the devices that were supposed to abate And repel them chewing away at my food scraps . Soooooo... I elected to implement a more proactive approach against my unwelcomed guest and bought myself a Pellet gun. That worked out so much better..!. "Lock n Load " , now Fire for effect.lol !. SEMPER FI, OOORAH.. LOL
I've seen someone use the pellet gun method to curb the rodent population in the house before. I guess he couldn't locate the entry point. The ones that don't die just keep breeding.. I wish I could kill them.

Hi Tou! These frequencies seem to work even on Racoons and Squirrels But I have to play it very loud( 75% of full volume on my 250 watt amp). That being said... would it be possible to recreate the 17500 hz to 20000 hz long duration version but WITHOUT the Click track! I run it overnight , so that means I have to wear earplugs and I can't hear my alarm in the morning. lol Is there a way you could record these as mp3's? I realize that mp3 files are clipped removing the upper frequencies or "headroom" as well as the inaudible subharmonic frequencies to make the file sizes smaller.. But I do believe it will work using the FLAC lossless format. I suppose recording it for an hour will do and I can just loop it. Thanks Tou
When I created the files, the mp3 compressed so much, that the 20kHz was almost not there. I do have a version that has no restart (so no clicks) but that didn't seem to work good with my mouse problem. Seemed like, they kind of just got used to it. But eventually I'll upload that file too, so stay tuned.
Yes. it should be possible. If someone can tell me the required wavelength of the frequency, I should be able to make a pure monotonic 20.000 hz sample. I usually make binaural beats which consist of very precise frequency ranges. All i need to know is the wavelength. a 2hz wavelength would sound a bit like a wave. as a 10 hz wavelength sounds very vibrant, for example

It might harm a newborn's ears even if you can't hear it, though. Just because we can't perceive it doesn't mean it's not affecting our ears. Younger people also report hearing it, so it really might be a bad idea to play around your kids.
playing this I think works to some extent I need longer to finish testing it but as far as I can tell the mice will come into the distress zone to look for food but will get out of the distress zone base up I haven't seen the lil bastard since trying these I mix them up from a few sources being my tv my pc and my phone all at the same time
this seems to work on barking dogs, or is it my imagination? right now the volume is set on zero. either the home owners-plural, finaly came out after an hour and a half and told them, "shut up!" or this does work, lol. bout god damn time. my dogs do not bark unless i want them too. i train them that way.

It's really strange. I can't hear anything but I started feeling pressure on my head immediately and then eardrums started hurting minutes after. I'll try it when I leave the house sometime.

Agreed. I was shocked to feel the high pitch using another video that included 15kHz tone. It was like my brain was uncomfortable! So, I closed that video and found this. I hope this doesn't hurt my hearing.

I felt something on my had when I was half asleep, so I turned around he jumps of my head on top of pillows. I grabbed my controller and tried to smash him. He squeaked as to say fu and was gone. But he still scratches and now I always think he's under my bed. I think I have ptsd. I caught all except this guy won't go for any traps. I tried evert single one. I blocked every hole and I still feel like he gets in. First year with mice and it sucks. I'm sick to and need my rest and I slept in my chair for a week.

I used another recordings for a couple of days and thought it might be working. I also rubbed peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils along the baseboards. Apparently it's a pest repellent. (The smell isn't really too obnoxious.) I didn't see the little bugger for a couple of days, but then he scampered through again. I noticed a very slim opening where the wall meets the floor in a corner of the living room. The mouse was scampering in from that side of the room. One suggestion is to block up any opening with steel wool (mice can't chew through it). I also added drops of peppermint/eucalyptus essential oil into the steel wool. Half an hour ago, I heard the mouse scratching on a different wall. Apparently blocking that opening did work, but he isn't done with my apartment yet. I've been running the sweeper and tapping the wall whenever I hear the scratching. I just found this recording. So far he's still scratching. Fingers crossed this recording works! I'll check in later if it does. (Pest control comes in a couple of days.)
Mice can pull on steel wool and it corrodes. However, similar products made of copper can have longer strands, including one I used around my laundry vent to the outside.

I've heard field mice running around in the attic everyday for months (all the houses attics join and are open so they come and go every time the field is harvested) and as of yesterday i havnt heard one russle!!!
spearmint chewing gum in little pieces placed in cupboards under the sinks and appliances and around your indoor walls . The gum gets caught in their digestive tracks and they cant digest gum so they die , its cruel but there really is no nice way to kill anything . you dont need traps for the gum just place it along the walls they will smell it from a mile away . Also if you can get something that will make the floor rumble 24/7 that keeps them away as well

Ok I have a cautious approval of this. This past week every single night I had been pestered by the scurrying of rats in the early hours. I'm a light sleeper and this was purgatory. I put this on last night and not one rodent did I hear! Now I am hoping that this was because of this being played but I'll hold off judgement yet. I just played it through my phone and sound wasn't maxed out either. I'll report back in a few days

My BirdNet sonogram app is showing a frequency of roughly 13.5kHz. It also shows a band of noise around 18kHz. The sonogram doesn't go higher than 18k. So, why is it showing lower frequency? Either the phone is not sensitive enough, the software is wrong, or my computer is not generating the right noises (due to either the wrong frequencies in the video or a hardware issue).

Well I just heard a squirrel gnawing on something in the wall and banged wall with broom and it came back. Played this and another sound generator (set for 20,134 Hz) for 5 minutes and the gnawing sound is GONE. What do you know?
pretty sure a mouse crawled onto my chest while i was sleeping. In my sleep I noticed it then grabbed whatever it was (felt squishy) and chucked it off my bed. Then when i went to look to see if anything was on the side of my bed, nothing was there. Grabbed my cat and kept him in the room and when I came back in he was in the other corner of the room trying to catch something. Talk about gross.

I was wondering whether my ears were insensitive or my speakers' tweeters didn't go that high, so I recorded this to see if any sound wave came up on cool edit pro, turning the sampling up to 192k and there was no high frequency sine wave appearing in the recording, leading me to believe youtube audio isn't a high enough bitrate to capture these frequencies.
Lol or your recording software is unable to recieve sounds of this frequency or flat out ignores them my gf can hear it but i can not so theres at least some merit to youtube i spose

I have one playing on my tv and one playing on my phone. 2 different ones. Tomorrow, I'll buy spring traps. I can't deal with the stress any longer. They definately did STFU now, though! My boys and I, our ears are screeching, but rather this than THAT horrid noise! Try different 2 videos simutaneously. It is working for me. Thank you, been hearing them for a week at least! (Already had pest control here!). Side note, the pest control put out bait in plastic holders. I could hear them tossing the plastic containers around in the ceiling that night--that's how annoying they have been. 😱

I bought some of the most expensive units hoping for some sort of effect on the Rodents that were getting into my house , and to my surprise and horror, I witnessed the very little Basterds sitting right there in front of me and the devices that were supposed to abate And repel them chewing away at my food scraps . Soooooo... I elected to implement a more proactive approach against my unwelcomed guest and bought myself a Pellet gun. That worked out so much better..!. "Lock n Load " , now Fire for effect.lol !. But I have to play it very loud( 75% of full volume on my 250 watt amp).
That being said... would it be possible to recreate the 17500 hz to 20000 hz long duration version but WITHOUT the Click track!
I run it overnight , so that means I have to wear earplugs and I can't hear my alarm in the morning. lol
Is there a way you could record these as mp3's? I realize that mp3 files are clipped removing the upper frequencies or "headroom" as well as the inaudible subharmonic frequencies to make the file sizes smaller.. But I do believe it will work using the FLAC lossless format. I suppose recording it for an hour will do and I can just loop it.

When I created the files, the mp3 compressed so much, that the 20kHz was almost not there. I do have a version that has no restart (so no clicks) but that didn't seem to work good with my mouse problem. Seemed like, they kind of just got used to it. But eventually I'll upload that file too, so stay tuned.
Yes. it should be possible. If someone can tell me the required wavelength of the frequency, I should be able to make a pure monotonic 20.000 hz sample.
I usually make binaural beats which consist of very precise frequency ranges.
All i need to know is the wavelength. a 2hz wavelength would sound a bit like a wave. as a 10 hz wavelength sounds very vibrant, for example

It might harm a newborn's ears even if you can't hear it, though. Just because we can't perceive it doesn't mean it's not affecting our ears. Younger people also report hearing it, so it really might be a bad idea to play around your kids.

playing this I think works to some extent I need longer to finish testing it but as far as I can tell the mice will come into the distress zone to look for food but will get out of the distress zone base up I haven't seen the lil bastard since trying these I mix them up from a few sources being my tv my pc and my phone all at the same time

this seems to work on barking dogs, or is it my imagination? right now the volume is set on zero. either the home owners-plural, finaly came out after an hour and a half and told them, "shut up!" or this does work, lol. bout god damn time. my dogs do not bark unless i want them too. i train them that way.
