Myles Kennedy mentioned in an interview a few years ago that he "always loves watching Slash play because every night, the solo is different. It's a different freestyle every night. it's so entrancing, i love it"
I preferred Axl's interaction with the audience more, ""Hey, take that! Take that! Now, get that guy and take that!" "I'll take it, g** d*** it!" "Well, thanks to the lame-ass security, I'm going home!"
@@amadeusk525 I met some other 'big stars' too and was lucky they didn't take a piss on me, that's how friendly they were. Some guys do backstage/hotel meetings because they have to and you can feel it.
That lead singer, Myles Kennedy is just the most beautiful human being! Inside and out. You have to check out Alter Bridge which is his main band. He is also a badass guitarist. I've been front row at 3 Slash gigs and 1 Alter Bridge gig - he interacts with the audience so well, always makes you feel like you're the only one there. Has given me fist bumps, guitar picks, hugs - so awesome! You gotta get on the Myles M'Fkn Kennedy train! =)
Really recommend you check out "Blackbird" by Alter Bridge, the Live from Amsterdam version. The lyric was written for a friend of his who passed away. It is right up there with Stairway, November Rain - that sort of epic song
@@Faraz_khan0dawg, that’s why slash is slash. He’s unique for that, some people like you don’t appreciate how talented that was. Especially hearing his iconic slashy riffs that’s in there.
The only part of the entire guitar solo that was actually "planned" was the part with the slide, because its in the actual song haha. Everything else up until that point is puuure JAM :D
Myles Kennedy, the lead singer, is with Alter Bridge and Slash, and he's about to launch his second solo album... Talking about creative people 😅 Please check Mind Your Manners from Slash!! A great song too
This is my favorite Guns N Roses song, it's from their 1987 masterpiece debut Appetite For Destruction. Slash picked Myles Kennedy because he wanted someone that could sing everything he's done from GNR, Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver & his solo album Slash, which Myles sang on 2 songs. That tour led to them becoming Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators.
Wow. Slash is amazing, but I have never seen such an amazing lead singer used as a supporting character in a band before. What else has this guy done?? He's clearly very experienced and talented.
Guys...not sure if you know that Myles Kennedy fronts a band called "Alter Bridge". Such an underrated group and one of the best Hard rock bands of any era. Definitely worth a watch. If you dig live, maybe start out with "Blackbird, live from Amsterdam". I'll add a few more once you get your head around this masterpiece (and I'm not using that term lightly) Awaiting your review from Australia 🤘🏻🥃 EDIT ( sorry, just realised you've done blackbird at Wembley. Maybe try studio version of Calm The Fire or Cry of Archillies then 😊)
As much as I dig Slash, let's have Myles plug in his PRS and go back and forth.... I think Myles would surprise a lot of people w his playing \\m// !!!!
Gggreat drumming at the beginning , very funky with 4/4 of "around 150 bpms" on hi hat and uptempos on kick pedal . He mantains this exact rythm for all the song . Very linear and basic but not simple and then very clear and tasty that is extremely important . He is committed to the cause even he is not showing nothing in particular . Anyway very good use of the accents too by the percussionist . I have seen Guns and Roses here in Florence at Firenze Rocks . Slash is making the guitar living . The singer is reaching incredible notes , and well...very blues oriented in my personal opinion (always) .
Slash pretty much improvises the solo in this every time he plays it live, Richard Fortus from GnR has spoke about it several times. Slash likes to feel the music.
This is a great song that is the anchor ending song on one of the best albums ever recorded and it was a debut album to boot...just a song that idolizes a woman that loves the male sexual organ
There are very few people who sound better than Axl singing GnR songs, but I think Myles just did it! The thing about guitar that i think I'd have a hard time learning is that one note can be played on more than one string and depending on the other notes I'm going to play, I choose this string to play that note, instead of that string. It boggles my mind.
Endurance.... and spontaneous notes on the fretboard... on the guitar player.... don't interrupt a solo.... Slash is unique all his own ... that stance in addition to his hat
Man i love Rod Jackson's voice. He was in a band in Richmond Va called Ragdoll before he went out to L. A. Used to go see him all the time back in the club days. Great guy to hang out with & one of my favorite singers.
This is a song from Appetite for Destruction album by Guns N Roses which released in 1987. The original vocals from Axl rose is much better and original song itself is freakin amazing
John mentioned the Blues, right? Well, if y'all didn't know, Metal, true Metal...not the extreme blast beat growling/screaming vocal Metal has and always will be a Blend of Blues and Classical Music. The lyric content is often bluesy, and the instrumental parts are bluesy and classical depending on the style. Guns N Roses was always a Blues Rock Band. That's what helped them break out onto the scene in a #1 Billboard kind of way back in 1987 with their debut album. It appealed to not only the young generation, the Gen X'ers, like myself, but some of their parents (young Boomers) as well. I remember one of my schoolmates talking about how much their mother liked GNR and we were surprised by that because we thought GNR was a badass new rock band. We weren't aware of their Blues influence and sound all that much. But nonetheless, it's there...Big Time.
Pls reaction Let Me Hear/Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas .It is very dope !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The original Guns N Roses version is even better. Anything from Guns N Roses is awesome. It is hard to beat Axl on vocals. GNR are my all time fav band. Slash is the coolest rock star ever.
Carrie Ann, from Illinois here. Seems like forever since I've seen yas on here. Slash is a musical genius and Myles Kennedy can splatter me with his sweat any day. Lol. Jk. Seriously though, another groovy reaction. You should react to "Starlight" acoustic Live on Sessions. Beautiful song. Love yas and Keep Rockin...
Nah that's subjective. Apples and Oranges right? Like obvi GnR walked so this band could run but imo this was the gnarliest Rocket Queen solo from Slash out of all times he's played this song live.
Myles Kennedy is one of the hardest working vocalist! Between his solo stuff, Alter Bridge and Slash not a bad song!
I've read somewhere that in the last two years he only took 2 days off, all others were him touring with Slash and Alter Bridge. That is insane.
with the all respect to you! Miles is just Axl on Mickey Mouse voice! o.O it's my first time listening!
Myles doesn't know how to make a bad song.
@@FGunneRG lol! Clown comment. Axl can’t hold a candle to Kennedy- even in Axl’s prime (which only lasted about 3 yrs). Axl shit vocalist
Myles Kennedy & Slash are amazing together. Live @ The Stoke the whole show is great.
As a legendary performance you must absolutely watch Slash feat Myles - Anastasia live in Sydney. The version is just amazing.
Myles Kennedy mentioned in an interview a few years ago that he "always loves watching Slash play because every night, the solo is different. It's a different freestyle every night. it's so entrancing, i love it"

Slash solo is pure improvised. He has the skills to think ahead of where solo brings him. That is what makes him one of a kind
One of the best rhythms ever written. Pumps.
Slash never plays a solo exactly the same twice. He said it's all about the vibe on stage.
I met Slash like five times, best guy ever. You wouldn't expect that from a star that big, totally down to earth.
So is it 5 times, or like 5 times, so 4 or 6 times? I’m confused. Surely you’d remember the total
I've met him 3 times and he is just a very chill person. Not overly friend but not a dick either. Just very cool.
"You wouldn't expect that from a start that big" he's just a guy, like all of us, not expecting him to be normal is dumb

that's why it was wack lol... it was kinda cringe ngl

Oh Slash doesn't memorize anything anymore. It's coming straight from the soul nowadays. Quite brilliant
OMG slash Myles Excellent merci à vous 👍😍😱🙏💖👏
Myles is just killing it here, as always.
Myles shines brightly in alter bridge.blackbird live is amazing
The only part of the entire guitar solo that was actually "planned" was the part with the slide, because its in the actual song haha. Everything else up until that point is puuure JAM :D
Myles is always interacting with the audience. Always giving them their money’s worth. And, well, Slash just does his thing like only he does.
Saw them in Orlando in 2019. Second row. Slash was a beast. Yes. A LOT of sweat. Best show I ever saw...until Devin Townsend a few months later.
If you notice, Myles also steps back to let Slash have the stage during the solo. No ego in the way of great music.
That solo was 100% improvize
Oh love Myles.. So underrated
Slash is the goat
1987- 2023
He is still killing it
Cat gets better every year
Rare indeed
Slash is the best of the best guitar hero in the world 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Suzi Q's eyes are too mesmerising i had to watch this video twice
slash didnt memorize that solo, its improvised.. that guy is a god on improvisation

"Find The Real"-Live in Amsterdam 2008
Slash pretty much improvises the solo in this every time he plays it live, Richard Fortus from GnR has spoke about it several times. Slash likes to feel the music.
He doesnt likes as much Jimmy Page
You must react to their video for Anesthesia. You think Eruption was a great solo for Eddie Van Halen. Your jaw will hit the floor on this one.
It’s Anastasia, not Anaesthesia
Happy birthday to the man the myth the legend the hat Slash
Epic song. Please react some Guns and roses. They're fuc*ing crazy 🔥
First time seeing this, TY for a Rock concert!
Improvisation
Slash is in the upper elite level players in that category
Improv is on the fly
He is a master of it
Most of that solo is a "jam" ,improvised.
So it goes. Long improvised jam solo. Slide solo is written, and last solo was as written
This is a great song that is the anchor ending song on one of the best albums ever recorded and it was a debut album to boot...just a song that idolizes a woman that loves the male sexual organ
It's like the original guitarist joined a tribute band to his real band.
Slash - Anastasia
Deberian escuchar la misma cancion pero de guns n n roses live in tokyo 92✌
The whole band is badass 🤟
Dam you guys are amazing bloodhound Gang the bad touch would be such a funny reaction

Axl Rose sings this wayyy better. No soul without him. This is my favorite Guns N Roses song but it’s not the same with this singer
Myles does this song justice, he's amazing. Axl only sounded good in Rocket Queen up until around 1990
Please react to the REAL Guns N Roses next time
What i wanna know is how are you in a band and not know Myles Kennedy? wtf?
React to guns n roses better
I don’t understand why you didn’t react to a live version of the original band. Disappointing for a first reaction to this song

So true! This song doesn’t sound right without the original line up
This version has no soul. I always felt like the ending part of the song is kinda emotional but in this version I felt nothing
When your new singer does Axl better than Axl ever did...! Damn Myles is so good
Hahahahah you are joking right?🤦♀️ because GnR would have ever been THAT famous without the legendary Axl Rose
Dude shut up
This is embarassing.... U need to check out the orginal version. This sounds like disco.
axl rose's vocals on the original make miles look like a prepubescent clown
