came here because my friend and i literally spent an hour trying to kill this on my twitch stream last night. the stun animation where the tentacles come out only lasted enough for 1 shot and we literally just ran out of ammo. hoping when we re-open the game it'll animate right. appreciate the tips! will def try them.
Thank you for watching. I do hope you guys get that hard ass. knocking over those canisters helps a lot if you don't have enough flame grenades. stage 1.2 provides 2 or 3 incendiary grenades. also 3 In the same room where you fight uroboros close to the chair. Good luck gamer

This fight was the biggest fucking piece of bullshit. Wait you know what almost all of these boss fights do this shit. I find it crazy that this game is designed in such a way where you can use all of your ammo against a boss and still not kill it. I had a an hour long attempt and literally used all my ammo I kept trying to shoot the “weak spot” and you know what it literally goes back inside his body after one shot gun shell. This happened to me in the spider fight too. And the boat why does this happen. You’d Gould at least be doing some damage when you’d shoot the base body

Protip for anyone still watching this: the fight is bugged on PC if your framerate is above 30, and the flamethrower does no damage. Set your fps to 30 for the fight and you should have a MUCH easier time.
I was playing the game for the first time in ages and forgot how much of a pain. This guy is lucky. I just stocked up on the incendiary ammo for the grenade launcher and used a couple grenades as well. The AI is completely useless as a teammate she does shit with that flamethrower
Thing is I shouldnt have to use the RPG, I remember defeating this thing easily with just the flamethrower. Now fast forward 10 years and I get this game on steam and for some reason even on easy mode this thing wont die and wont show his weak spot incendiary items or not.
I know right. it was tough to defeat the first time for me. The upgraded shotgun worked in my favor. I use to run around and use all those standing Gas canisters. Plus searching for the incendiary grenades. But the RPG is just a quick fix. Thank you for the comment and for watching the video.
Here is a strat for this boss battle: 1. Buy 5 proximity mines, and one Flash Round for grenade launcher. 2. After cutscene with boss, instantly place 5 mines under your feet 3. Do 3 or 4 steps back 4. Aim the space between placed mines and red gas cylinder. 5. Wait till Uroboros grabs red gas cylinder (on the right side) 6. Shoot the floor by flash round. EZ kill, this insane strat, but it works. Shocking damage mathematics.
I was unaware the rpg would one shot it while it was in its injured state thingy. longest fight in the entire game easily if you dont play it either PERFECTLY or use an rpg. ty for the video lol
This tutorial saved my LIFE LOL I was getting so mad. if you get Sheva to use the flamethrower while you shotgun than the weak spots will stay exposed and you can just shotgun away. beat this thing in like 5 mins
I spent over 100 hand gun rounds and 50 shot gun shells on this boss along with over 50 rifle rounds and 100 SMG rounds from sheva, all highly upgraded weapons and I even used flame thrower and after 30 minutes this boss didn’t go down and I died cause I had no ammo😂 so I brought out the RPG I had saved from earlier in the game and ended it in 1 shot
I know the struggle! Those upgraded weapons can be a game-changer, but hitting the weak spot tentacles is a real challenge. Personally, I've found success with incendiary grenades - they can do wonders in opening up the weak spot. Whew, we do exactly the same and this thing just won't die. It's really rare for it to show its weak spot even with fire items, no clue what we're doing wrong.
Hi Carla Jules. I recommend to go to the March lands and get the RPG from the abandoned ship wreck. It's very hard if you don't have a powerful weapon you can use. Incendiary grenades does work better than the flame thrower in my experience. Just don't give up. You will beat him. Upgrade your weapon of choice. I used the shotgun

@@Fegyo98 Hi @fegyo007 . One question though. On chapter 2.1 your 1st encounter. Did you use the furnace to incinerate him? Also at Chapter 5.2 incinerate grenades work well to help expose those weak spots. Or even better chapter select to marshlands. And make your way on boat to find the sinking ship with the RPG on board. Quit stage and retry 5-2. Keep the RPG for Uroboros. I will mak a video on the 1st encounter
Ok very few comments mention -- if you're playing on PC, set your framerate cap to 60 or even 30. It's glitched/impossible to kill above 60FPS apparently and has been for a very long time. Other things of note -- when playing MP, whoever's controlling Sheva should be using the flamethrower. I noticed while using Chris that no matter how much I focused the boss with the flamethrower it would never get CCed and would always do a large spinning attack. Whereas if Sheva uses the flamethrower it stays stunned in place for the entire duration. Knocking the barrels over and waiting for the boss to absorb (one of) them before shooting the barrel for an explosion is a guaranteed method to force the weak spots to show.
Just the fact that this came out 13 years sfter the game came out. Makes me happy. Im so happy that rocket launcher does a one hit kill. Cause im really wanting to replay this game and don't want to go through the hell i just did to complete it.

Me and my friend found an even simpler technique, blow up the gas bottle when he then catches it once these tentacles come out, shoot with the RPG and the enemy dies instantly🔥
My friend and I spent literal hours on this boss with the weak spot animation never happening, finally just used the rocket launcher but it’s good to know it is possible to beat normally
Hi Peanuts. In my experience Incenary grenades shows the weak spot much easier than the flame thrower. With one upgraded weapon as much as possible. I used the shotgun. So how did you defeat that hard ass? What was your strategy?
No joke, this boss is very easy if you have enough money, If anyone has a problem, I suggest you find an RPG in one of the chapters or buy one, the RPG oneshots, and it's a one-time use, so if you wanna make sure you use it correctly, I suggest have someone use the flamethrower and the kther uses the RPG
Give Sheba all your good guns she has aim bot she’ll hit all the target points easy just before she shoots make you use all your red grenades and red grenade ammo to open him up for Sheba to shoot it I beat it in 6 minutes easy and didn’t use all ammo or Grenades or even the flame thrower
Sheva was being stupid and she wouldn't shoot when i was using the flamethrower. The trick is to give the flamethrower to sheva and then burn him before she uses the flamethrower. Then shoot the orange things
Late for the party but all you really need for this boss fight are two things: RL and an explosive barrel. No joke, you can literally kill this fucker off in a matter of seconds...

The main problem is Players trying Flamethrower and thats bullshit -.- and The g ame at this boss actually completely MISLEAD players 😡😡 its lying actually U dont need flamethrower u can only activate ITS Triploid tentacle (weak state) Once with that fckin flamethrower.... Ignite grenade needed! 5-6 db and than Pistol or SIG556(Mg) to me these were best... 2 rounds / tentancle... =6-7 rounds and finale tentacle shooting kills him :)

Absolutely fucking crying. Me and my friend just spent 2 1/2 hours on this dumb ass boss on three separate attempts- running out of ammo and heals every time. And it was THIS EASY THE WHOLE TIME??? Literally watched this video and he was on stun lock duty with flame grenades and flamethrower while I shot bulbs with the magnum… killed it in not even four minutes 😭😭😭 came loaded with proximity mines, flame grenades, grenade launcher with fire rounds, magnum, sniper rifle and shotgun… didn’t even use like 1/4 of the supplies we brought. It took literally 5 flame grenades and five magnum shots.. SO DUMB BROOO but THANK YOU MY LORD. 😭❤️

You don’t even need to hit the weak spot with the rpg. You can just one shot it immediately after the cutscene
