MP7000 Series Scale Calibration Procedure | Zebra

If working with a completely new MP70xx out of the box for the first time, you need to calibrate the scale before starting. A 25lb. calibration weights will be required for this effort. Watch this video to learn to calibrate the MP7000 series scanners.

I like the way it works on the NCR 7878/79 because it uses voice prompts and it does automatic diagnostics throughout the procedure. It does require the use of more transfer masses, though, and I believe they have a patent on the feature.

I remember the inspectors needed to see that my old scale had a calibration seal to pass inspection. My old NCR scale required a seal after calibration to ensure no tampering. Does this scale have a calibration sealing machanism? I'm just making sure we are approved for a seal of approval from the inspector.

Zebra scales are good, but technical support is horrible, I bought 5 of these scales, and we had to return them all, due to the delay in responding to questions we had in reference to the installation. I went back to Magellan.

Why at the ones at Walmart you have to calibrate with a 5lb on after the 25 lb weight?
