Yeah... I don't have remote start option on my fob.. But I can remote start it to cool the truck on my Toyota app.. But when I open the door.. The engine shuts off... I hate that feature
This has been a thing on Toyota vehicles since 2004. What this person is showing is a default setting. Setting can be change so that when you open front doors in this manner all doors open.
Related but unrelated - why is it still taking Lexus and Toyota 4 - 9 months to deliver the 2nd key FOB with new vehicles? Seems ridiculous that there is still a parts shortage. There are so many situations where a 2nd key FOB is needed which includes safety. Another example of Toyota dropping the ball over the last couple of years.

Kind of ridiculous for a 2024 Toyota Sequoia Platinum that costs 82k to not have remote start on the fob key

they have had supplier issues. toyota only uses the higher quality keys. they have been in shorter supply
It joke. My bought a new Subaru Outback in February and bought my Tundra in March she got both Keys at the time of purchase and me I’m still waiting.
They need digital key for tundra nd remote start? When’s that happening 😭 😂
