The resweeping to get all of the dust into the pan is the only annoyance that remains. But if you already have a vacuum, you can use that to pick up the remains, or get a damp paper towel or rag to get the tiny bit that refuses to go into the pan up. Saving you over $100. If you have $100 to throw away, then go for it.
@Confined Spiral By common usage of the word "manual", most vacuum cleaners are indeed manual, we're not talking about robot vacuums here, uprights and canister vacuums require a human(Or some other trained animal) to manually push and pull them over the surface they are vacuuming. Otherwise, they just sit there, sucking in one spot.

I really like the vacuum idea. It does not take to much space, you don’t have to drag it around having the cord get tangled on chairs and couches. I think I’m going to buy online of those vacuum for my office.

So the _Eye-Vac_ is actually pretty awesome. You sweep your dirt to it and it actually prevents all the dust and dirt from getting in the air when you dump a traditional dustpan into a trashcan. Also a lot of hair stylist use it because it's a very quick way to clean up hair.
There's the dust from the finishing sweeping arc, now it goes into the vac. There's the dust from dumping the dustpan, it now goes into the vac. The dumping of the vac itself? Outside, away from the swept area and into the world where it belongs. Win win win, ya ask me. :)
I’m not surprised they responded poorly to the vacuum. Its one of those things that doesn’t make sense until you have it and use it in your home 😂 I know it is well-received by many. I can imagine for those with back problems it would be a life-saver.
That seems to be the disconnect where people who just vacuum their floors would see that machine as an extra step. If you already just vacuum then you don't sweep your floors. And if you are going to sweep your floors then it seems odd that you wouldn't just use a vacuum instead and skip the cleanup step after sweeping.

Amen! See a lot of flack about egg thing being "single use", but it's so great for me and my disability as I can't get to the kitchen by myself. I can keep that, eggs and a bottle of water in my bedroom and have easy access to good protein food when I'm alone at home.
I really like the automated dustpan, and I think it would be great for people that are older/have special needs and can’t bend over as easily or have issues holding things 👍

Lol yes it's a central vacuum. I have one as well and it's very handy. Now the tubing goes through your whole house and if there's a block somewhere is the only drawback, you have to send special vacuum rags into it to unclog it or possibly get a vac guy in for a big problem. Like all vaccums its best to pick up big items before vacuuming.

It's just an extra step to using a vacuum though. If you just use a vacuum like a normal person then it doesn't really make sense to have an extra trash somewhere in your house.

As a person with 3 dogs and a constant rotation of foster dogs Lisa's thing looks like a life saver! Not only for the insane amount of hair but because if you turn your back on a dust pile for just a second with a puppy around they will redistribute the dust as they see fit lol

As someone who has the egg cooker, I laugh sympatheticly at Link picking up the hot eggs. If you pick up the center plastic post you can place all the eggs in ice water without burning your self.
The vacuum thing does actually make a lot of sense to me, because its so hard to get all the dust into the dustpan. Until I realize that I could just use a normal vacuum instead of a broom entirely. And now I'm questioning the entire existence of brooms.
Normal vacuums struggle and get clogged with large bits of debris and trash. As a janitor, I always use a broom and dustpan(with handle) to pick up the large stuff(Like napkins, wrappers, bottle caps, leaves, etc) before I vacuum.
She didn't used to be HR, it was always a joke. She was VP of production and operation. Mythical didn't have HR on staff until Dec 2022 when she was promoted to head of HR.
I think the argument for the Ivac is for smaller apartments with limited space, especially if you only have one closet which might be full of belongings. So a compact standalone vaccum like that is smaller, more portable, easier to store, and inexpensive compared to modern vaccums. Also no cord to wrap up after you finish cleaning. Surprised they didn't even mention that, haha. But to be honest, im sure most people can make space for a good vaccum.
My grandma would be so upset with the herb stripper. She would scold everyone for wasting the tender stems, said the tender stems have more flavor than just the leaves. She wasn't wrong either, at least with herbs like Cilantro and Parsley and so on.

I think the argument for the Ivac is for smaller apartments with limited space, especially if you only have one closet which might be full of belongings. So a compact standalone vaccum like that is smaller, more portable, easier to store, and inexpensive compared to modern vaccums. Also no cord to wrap up after you finish cleaning. Surprised they didn't even mention that, haha.
But to be honest, im sure most people can make space for a good vaccum.
