Oh I love your nesting chicken! Your excitement for her and your family finding her reminded me of my recent excitement in finding a beautiful framed painting of a rooster at the op shop. I purchased it as a pin up boy for my chickens and came home and hung it in their house straight away. I couldn’t stop giggling for days thinking of him! Writing this gives me a giggle still.

I MUST make a chicken ... sooo adorable. I love the Wonderland yarn too - it's such a lovely colourway maybe you could consider making a cowl or hat/mitts so that everyone can admire it in all it's gorgeousness!!
What a delightful chicken! I am in love. Certain members of my family have been slow organizing my birthday presents this year, which I am still waiting for. As my birthday is in early march it has stretched my birthday out by a month and a half so far LOL

Such great birthday gifts Ali! I get candle wax out of jars by pouring in boiling water. The wax melts enough to float the remainder to the surface in a waxy disc and you can just ease it out of the jar.

Burn your apothecary candle as normal and then stand the jar in hot water to remove the residue wax and then pop your refill in. A lot of candle companies do this now, I love Chase and Wonder but they are expensive xxxx

Ahhhhh, curiosity completely satisfied now. You know, that is a great alternative for crocheters who do not knit but want to get on the emotional support chicken bandwagon, and that's a good material to fill the bandwagon with too. Adorable!
I knit and crochet,and was frustrated by the knitted chicken so I did the Plush Crochet Chicken by Anna Zander. Worked up quickly and turned out great, it’s a gift for my daughter-in-law.
