Yes, more , definitely. Shop projects are great, non-shop projects are just as great. Keep them coming. It makes my whole day better every time I see you posted a new video. I am just a hobby woodworker from the U.S. I probably have more tools then the average person, but no where near as many as the professional. Your channel is the perfect balance for me. Thank you, I not only enjoy your channel, but I appreciate it. Cheers!
Excellant job, you might want to put a wall bracket on the back of it, as if you pull out more than two shelves, the cabinet could tip over, and spill the precious product.
I'm only 44 seconds in but I heard the words "future plans" and now I'm VERY excited. Looking forward to making one of these for my dad and my friends (being the only teetotaller in our group means I don't need one!).
I love this. I can think of so many ways to change this design up to make other things. This is great. I look forward to seeing the more complex version
These are some of the best videos on you tube. The simplicity of the project but a great finished product. If I want to add a more advanced joint, then I can easily decide where to do that myself. I would like to see more of these videos👍
dear Sir, I must say your ability to "deconstruct" a concept build and provide alternative methods is very inspiring. too bad I live in another country or I"d hire your services for some cabinetry work in my home. cheers!
Great work. I would be happy to see any and all of your projects. One never knows where inspiration will come from and I can see this project being adapted to something for the shop as well as a bedroom. One just never knows.
Exactly what I was about to comment, you should never have the cork exposed to air. The wine will go off. Also you should use the playing card trick to space your drawer fronts, will give you a more uniform spacing. I love this project by the way, would love to see this made from old oak wine barrels...
But if the bottles are unopened then the amount of air in the bottle is small enough that the cork is fully in contact with the wine when the bottle is horizontal. I can't imagine storing a half empty bottle.
That's an awesome project. Keep them coming! I love the shop projects, but there are so many more cool things put there are lots of other awesome projects like this that are worthy of some screen time.
You can even make this with standard pine stock from the big box store, using a hand saw. Have them cut the large panel to size for the sides an top bottom.
I am planning to do so.ething similar soon, nice job. When I do endgrain screws like you are doing in this project I try to srew them at an angle, or if not possible do dowels perpendicular to the grain to havesome cross grain for the screws to grab on.
Really good video - many thanks. If you were to continue to refine your design, you could increase the router/chamfer on the bottle slats at one end to ensure that the bottle is not level but tips slightly one way. That would allow you to store bottles with corks slightly downwards to keep the cork moist. This is not really an issue for screw-top bottles I accept!
Bought your plans to support you and your channel! But one big question still… what size drawer slides did you use! I could guess that you probably used 14” ones (355ish mm) as you talked about the side panels being 16” in the video, but confirmation would be nice!
Hey mate that's amazing video and wine rack. I am looking y building something similar but with a Dept of 80cm. This will allow me to keep two rows of bottles. Now the question comes to what type of runners do I use? Do I use two sets of what you have done or build a long 80cm rack but will that hold the accumulated weight of 16 bottles?
Just a question... I see you connect all the large boards (top bottom and two sides) to the skeleton using two screws and glue, where the grain direction is perpendicular between the two. Can't it be a problem in terms of wood extension and contraction? Thanks!
Cheers! Tried to access the plans. I don't use Pay Pal so that fails. Pay Later doesn't work either. They both fail with the same error - Ooops Something went wrong... Any way to get these other than Pay Pal? Oh, by the way, "Add to Cart" doesn't work either. Thanks very much!

Love the fact that it’s a simple production line as well. Saw. Drill. Glue. Screw. Repeat.
More of these type of projects would be appreciated.

a similar design would be a great way to organize paints, stains, and odd chemicals. so really, this is a shop project too :)
Great idea. Might make one as wedding gift for a friend!
Ye please keep on doing it this was great.
I really liked your superb work great ideas like timber holder I love your belt sander holder you are so smart. You are a genius. Australia.

Clever design......
At the beginning of the video, it already looks like a good tool drawer.

Nice project Jean.
Excellent project! More of this kind would certainly be highly appreciated.
Your shelves should be at an angle. The wine should always be in contact with the cork. Just an FYI

I think he can fix that with the felt he’s talking about adding.

@@alexreith4877 I can't imagine half-emptying a bottle...
Level bottles always cover the cork in wine. No need to angle them downward.

Wow, I'm always so impressed with your planning as well as the finished product. Really awesome and thanks for the clear explanations!
This could be great inside a standard kitchen cabinet, too! Love it. New subscriber, saw your Reddit post featuring workshop organization.
I like that if you wanted to you could carve a design on facings and screw it in. Therefor having a simple well built cabinet with a nice facade.

Perhaps you would consider tilting the bottles so the neck is lower, helping to insure the cork remains wet.
Baie netjies 👍🏻. Ek het soortgelyke een gemaak uit Kiaat. Het nou besteling vir een uit populier. Lyk werklik goed in “deur” hour.
Love the work and look forward to seeing the upscaled one!
What size of roundover bit did you use? 3m? 4.5? 6m?

Do you have plans for your lumber timber rack.?
Looking forward to making the DIY Drawer Wine Rack - Simplified Assembly For Beginners. when do you think the drawings will be available?
Great video! Be nice to have the dimensions
Do you have the dimensions for this wine cabinet available somewhere? Would love to not have to figure those out along the way. Love the final piece!

Luxriversion, put a coolingdevice. A back and small window as the. Should make wine little lower temperaturer.
This would make a good base for a tool cabinet. What is that socket looking screwdriver thing you used in your drill?
It is a magnetic screw holder.......probably by Dewalt.........Makita's look different

I downloaded the plans, thanks! Do you know what size and number of sheets of laminated pine you used to make this?

Hi, are you sure it's pine, it looks like spruce to me in color.
Often big stores sell spruce and it says pine.
7:09 featuring the Invisible Screwdriver (TM) :-)
It will be interesting to see if the cross grain glue joints on the top cause any issues down the road.
How do I get your plans
I am still working on setting up a plans website but you can get the plans here: thewoodworkersplans.com/product/diy-drawer-style-wine-rack-easy-woodworking-plans/
Awesome idea!! Enjoy watching your videos. Are those solid panels or laminated shelving panels? Where do you get those panels in SA?
Laminated panels, available at most Builders Warehouses
The wider panels (600mm+) do have a tendency to cup slightly
@@volla40 I previously used some laminated pine sheets but the ones he used in the video seems to not show the joints. the ones available in my town have finger joints inside the panel
Can you send me the plans?
That’s going to warp/split
Why do you skip the 'er' in "drawer"?
Video très intéressante, mais trop de paroles !!! à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
i have no interest in wine or storing wine bottles, this looks like a really nice way to store spray paint though.
He has an earlier video about just that.
It is on the wall in the shop.
Nice design and assembly. Not the best idea to glue up a pieces with perpendicular wood grain directions. Glued boards tend to get split.
