I like Emma. Because of here course on frontendmasters, I started to deep dive into Design Systems. It's now a major part of my business as UX Engineer. But 8:23 made me think: Learning algorithms just for the interview, but not using them at the job in most cases feels somehow wrong. An interview closer to the real job is always better in my opinion. If it's a job for instance in the AI business, I get it, algorithms are bread and butter.
Every video by Honeypot is an indescribably pleasant experience. The most inspiring for me is when you show that we can be whatever we want to be which means NOT ONLY a software engineer. I would like to see more stories of people who are not just developers but also ARTISTS.😉
You know what surprises me? There are some design theories and system design and so on. But when I look at the interfaces of such large corporations as Windows, Facebook, TH-cam, I always see UI flaws. Then what's the point of studying them?
Lovely and motivating story. Love to see super-girls taking charge and hack their way through a career like this. I will be sharing this as a "mentoring video" in my CreatorsTribe community.
@@vivekkaushik9508 yeah but you can do it. Find a company over linkedin and make certificates that proofes you skill. Then it wont be difficult to get hired, and if hired its way easier to get here
jaja jaja greetings, I saw you in a React course and I didn't believe you existed, you are real!!! Greetings from Mexico, Oaxaca, congratulations on your podcasts
Emma Bostian 11:26 is using Slack. There you go. Every f*cking developer out there is using Slack for better in-epic communication. Why the heck does our company not understand that?
💪 glad to hear! We have been thinking about doing a Laravel documentary since we met Taylor in New York. We have a few big projects lined up for the next few months but we are definitely considering Laravel for next year. Stay tuned 😉
if you check this woman's twitter developer account, she spews more hate more than she spreads developer knowledge (: don't believe me, check her twitter page.
This is terrible. You learn nothing. More of the same, selling a lifestyle. Plus she loved writing an ebook and making an editor but didn't love it until working at Spotify?? How does she combine her work with music? Other than playing spotify in the background while she codes, how is this accomplished? Just more corporate PR and propaganda, 14 and a half minutes and I learned nothing. Not even any resume tips for people considering working in the field. What schools? What field of study? What real life struggles beside lacking passion?
Seems like somebody has been eating a bit too much peanutbutter and jelly. 😉If you're not a fan of this format then maybe you prefer Emma's 5 tips on breaking into the industry: th-cam.com/video/n18iJYxWy3w/w-d-xo.html
So excited this is finally out, I love Emma's story! Very happy I could play a tiny part in telling it 💜
