@@MaxStoiber I already am a fan of your dad :D congrats on your success, you are a talented and lucky man.. I am learning about React, so hoping to check the boilerplate soon
I really don't care about the boilerplate, nor the tech story about and around. All I enjoyed was his family and the love for each other. Boy, that is everything. Good job on that Max. Beautiful family!!!!
This is very inspiring. As a CS student I can relate very much to the feeling of university not practical enough. But I am already very much at the end of my bachelor. So I will finish it but I think about getting my hands dirty working on open source and working somewhere instead of a masters degree.
His father reaction is the end goal that every child try to reach! It's something that it's hard to describe... This video could be showed in schools in order to spread the value of open source!
At about 9:40 was the most beautiful moment ever. It is all too rare for a father to say he is proud of his son. It only happens when the son truly does something great. It almost never happens genuinely on camera. Great job you guys.
It's super nice to know the people behind these software packages 😀 specially to see how supportive his parents were of his career, even if they didn't understand it completely they were so interested in it and excited, it's wonderful
I just want to say a big thank you to Honeypot for being the Netflix for developers sharing these Amazing stories, it's just wonderful to watch your content with good quality. keep up the good work. cheers
Honeypot, thanks for the film, all the best to you, guys. Max is a great guy and developer showing the power of open-source and helping other people. The community is giving back!
Very well done Honeypot! Inspring Documentation for developers! I used styled-components very often before but didn't know the guy behind it, this is just a "oh, that's the guy who made it" moment haha
Fantastic video! Max’s dad at the end was indeed my favourite part, especially with what he said to his wife! That coffee also looked incredible, once quarantine is over I’m taking a coffee class!
He's the same age as I am, I've been putting myself down as I think my code is bad and no one will care but this really inspired me to continue working and learning. Great video, thanks for this!
Thanks dude, you're an inspiration, I'm 47 y.o. and starting to study programming, I hope to contribute to the Open Source Community in a near future, best of lucks! And finish University, is a PIA but it's good for mental agility, trains you to think more abstract and in different ways, math is the basis of computing, so will teach you optimized ways to do many things, and just the mental exercise is great brain gymnastics, you'll thank yourself later, plus the title which opens more doors, cheerio

His parents are extraordinary. They don't understand a thing he says however they still support him and are proud of him
its bcz he is the only son probably
and hes making money
thres no surprise in that
Fathers reaction is so genuine.
"I never reached this level for myself... except I married you"

💯- that and the GItHub merch are the truly emotional parts of this video!
Seeing a genuinely wonderful person achieving their dreams (of helping thousands) is inspiring. Thank you for covering it so beautifully.
The sentence that includes ...except I marry you... and was completed by the mum is so awwwn
Ah Max! Your dad buying you GitHub merch gave me the feels. So sweet!
Max's father retweeting all his tweets is so sweet
Yeah, that was really moving!
Max, your family seems so nice. You’re lucky to have supportive parents and a loving home. Thanks for all your work in open source, this was inspiring

Maybe you should have chosen a better university?
@ It's just how University works in general. It's not very practical for web developers.
@@shazam314 For web dev you don't need a Uni degree at all, I agree...

This is by far 1 of the most inspirational docie's in tech.

His father taking so much interest in what he does, it's heartwarming!
Damn. His Dad was full of humility.
He was just excited to see his son excited.
Good parenting right there.
That dad motivation is quite important as little as it might have been. A booster

It is so nice to see such incredibly supportive parents who take joy in their son's success! Keep up the great work, Max! :)
