Glad to see I’m not the only one noticing this, Team Penske gets some wins during the regular season to get locked into the playoffs and then go all out, I think it has to do with the resources being spread out between the Porsche IMSA and WEC programs and IndyCar, since the IndyCar championship is almost wrapped up they could focus the resources to winning the championship in NASCAR, really clever I must say

Last year Logano was eliminated in the first three races, this year he wins the playoff opener in Atlanta (special track for Joey), Ford has found speed to compete against Chevy and Toyota. This will be a wild playoff year.
I was sitting right next to the flag stand and noticed that sign was coming off not even a quarterway through the race. I started yelling at an official about it but they didn't hear me.
If you were to hit a wall at 180 miles per hour, you would experience approximately 50 G-forces depending on the crumple zone of the vehicle and the impact angle.
I don't even think that was him trying to correct it given how suddenly and sharply it turned to the right, if it was a blown front right tyre, it would have pulled him to the right, so since he was in the turn, he would have had to correct by turning more to the left. To me, it looks more like a suspension/steering component failed.

If that were the case, I would have thought the rear of the car would slide up and hit wall first..? 🤔 Its possible that a blown right rear caused him to steer right to try correct it, but it also means there would be no traction to that corner of the car which is under load, so unless the blown tyre somehow caught a heap of traction while he was trying to correct it, I don't see how it would end up basically going head on with the wall.. ... that's my logic of it anyway, unless I'm missing something?

@superdragUSA1 Gen 6 was safer and better except for constantly changing the aero packages, the undertray and diffuser creates ground effects aero and makes flips so much easier, COT all over again but even worse, the short tracks and road courses suck which were so good with the old cars, I don't think making 1.5s better to make short tracks worse was worth it and I think removing the undertray and diffuser alone would help make for better racing but I don't think it would fix it, more horsepower alone wouldn't help either, there's so much wrong with these cars that a massive overhaul is needed, too much grip, stops too well, not enough horsepower, it's a sports car running on ovals and it made the bad tracks good and the good tracks worse...I'm convinced new post 2022 fans probably hate short tracks and think they're slow crappy boring tracks and don't get why longtime fans love them yet defend road courses when with these cars road courses are just as bad.

I'm a Brad Keselowski fan but I don't think he is going to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. His cars are slow, and they don't handle, and he is a terrible road racer.
I'm rooting for him and while ya he hasn't been good on road circuits, Watkins Glen is his best road course. Three second place finishes there and races where he had good car. He's not out by any means yet. Keep the faith
