I like this AND the original. Why are people so negative about this song? I personally think this song is alright, and I like the original a tad more. The only thing I don't like about this one is the rap part. Otherwise it's a pretty good song.
It really lacks the charm of the original and sounds like a rather generic overproduced modern song. It doesn't really give that sense of joy the original does for so many. It doesn't just not compare to the original, it just isn't a good song for many.

The reason this get hates is because it literally trying to be the original but they screwed it up with this song, the rock and rap song IS NOT WHAT GHOSTBUSTERS is, I'm mostly mad because it being called "Ghostbusters". It tries to act original, but it not. Now i don't hate this song (as a whole) but a lot of the parts i just really dislike.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this cover! The way they took the sassiness and dark undertones of the original and amped it up, mwah! *chefs kiss*. It sounds badass, because the ghostbusters are badass! I mean come on, these are people choosing to fight the paranormal, that ain’t an easy feat. Also, the way the guitars and Patrick’s voice layer and harmonize is so satisfying. Same goes for Missy Elliott with the drums and trap sound.

Everyone needs to calm down. I may be a relatively new fan (I discovered them after they released American Beauty//American Psycho), but I listen to pretty much every song they have. Does their new genre sound different? Yes, yes it does. But, none of that matters to me. Their new music sounds just as amazing as their old music.
Just as people do, music grows and evolves over time. Just look at Panic! At The Disco! Their music genre seems to change with every album, and most of us still love them, right?
What I'm saying is that as long as Fall Out Boy is happy, I'm happy. We should all respect this road that they've gone down, because it's going to lead them somewhere great.

When I was 17, my mother told my grandfather "if you don't stop smoking, you'll never live to see your grandchildren graduate" and my grandpa quit that day and promised to never smoke again. 3 years later he died of lung cancer and I fell on my knees and vowed to never smoke again. It's been extremely tough and I've beat cravings and temptation. I'm 27 now and haven't smoked in ten years. I'm starting to regret not smoking for those ten years because that song gave me cancer anyway.
