    literally one of the best reviews out there - fills in a LOT of the gaps in information and puts to rest some of the internet speculation around some of the stuff that's been hard to confirm (siping depth, etc.). I'm sold!

    Have the same 35x10.50 on my truck and am also amazed at how good they work in snow and ice . Here in Portland area around Valentine’s Day we had a ice and snow storm roll through and I spent the majority of it using my truck for delivery’s and because I found out I had a leak in my front diff and ran it dry I spent a good majority of it in 2wd . Aired down to 15 psi it almost took the fun out of driving in the snow because it hooked up so well .

    • @socalexpeditions
      @socalexpeditions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I too noticed they hook extremely well in snow. I could floor it and barely break traction. That being said, every tire has its limitations in terms of snow depth and ice conditions. I'm very happy with the Kenda's!

    Was pretty set on getting 35x11.5r17 in the new AT4W's but have always been curious with Kenda's. I've ran AT3W, KO2, KM3, Milestar Patagonia MT's. These will be going on my new to me GX470 and wanted 35's with less hassle tubbing the firewall etc so the 35x11.5 was attractive to me. I was a little hesitant on the 10.5 but just pulled the trigger since I found them for 260 a tire which was the lowest I've seen recently. Wish I had jumped on these when they were 160-180 a tire. Read through your thread on TW and this video helped change my mind from the AT4W's, cheers.

    I just picked up a set of Kenda Klever at2's. They are very similar to the R/T's in design but have slightly tighter tread block spacing. I am only mentioning this because for many people looking for more of a mild tire Kenda has a fantastic offering in the at2 which has only been on the market for less then a year. Didnt know how they would perform off road, but sounds like its the same story on street "tire so good the price feels like you stole them" definitely respect them as a company, they try their damnedest to make a MINOR impact on the environment, they now it'll never be zero, but they keep the number low

    The tire size in the video: 35x10.50x17. I ordered a second set, but 35x12.50x17. Life left: 15-16/32nd all the way around. 4/32 for 20k miles. That's CRAZY GOOD.
    20,000 Miles Summed Up: The tires have went from dead quiet to humming on the freeway. Still dead quiet under 40ish MPH. I can not feel the lugs turning at low speeds like mud terrains. There is no uneven wear, punctures, cupping, splitting, chunking, or alignment issues. The tires ride very smooth in a Load Range D. I have traveled all around the country with them, and have not once been unimpressed. I only have positive feedback to report!

I too am amazed at their grip on the ice and snow. I am curious what others are experiencing with their fuel economy however. I've gone up 2 sizes from stock (285/70/17) and I've lost about 3mpg. Currently have toyo at3 and if I move up to 22x10 instead of 20x10 I really don’t wanna spend 1600 for a good set of toyo at3 to have a good long lasting tire.
