Y'know what I like about dizzee rascal. When you look through his back catalogue through the years he's got so many different vibes and musical styles, never been afraid to experiment and his videos are always different and well made. He definitely stands out to me as one of, if not the best and most creative UK rap/grime artists ever.
I've remember hearing this in the radio many years ago, and i've spend so many hours looking for title and artist. Finally i found you! You remind me of my childhood. Thank you Rascal.
I come back to this video every once and a while just to enjoy it. I am amazed that people are still arguing over mindless drivel. Keep speaking your mind before that right is taken away. Keep fighting the good fight. If you don't have a dream, how you gonna make a dream come true?
I really like the way he intertwines childhood stuff/memories w/his message. I think he shows his childhood/teen-world-situation in a very dynamic way. Art work- artistic- what he has been known for- his artistic talents.
Awesome!! I heard this song first time on a trip from Texas to Peru. Love it. Listened to it constantly on the plane. Thanks for post. Peace. Biggup Dizzee Rascal.
I heard this back when it was released and completely forgot about it but I am now watching Sex Education S2:E3 and they play the original Happy Talk song and I couldn't figure out where I heard a different version of it. Thank God for Google!
I thought all the good ideas for videos were used up by the time the 1990's came BUT this proved that there is still potential to come up with something new & surprising.
Great video, great song - Not really a fan of Dizzee, I'm more of a metalhead meself \oo/ but I love it when someone does something different! Massive respect to Dizzee for going outside the box!!
Of course. :-) They showed a few of his videos on MTVU (MTV for college) in the gym @ school. This was the first video of his I saw - I immediately went home, watched it here about 5 more times, and downloaded his first two albums. Best part of the video is the Bobby smackin' the dolls with the stick, friggen' puppets, hahahahaha. Very creative music video,
Heard some old geezer listening to the original of this earlier with his kids in the car... had to listen to this spin on Captain Sensible's original record. This takes me back! Can't believe this came out eleven years ago..
would love him to go back to this stage. his first two albums were classics! maths and english was alright. and i didnt get the newest one. not my type of music anymore. but still gotta respect dizzee.
Amazing song. Much love from the states. Been listening to dizzie since boy in da corner. Wish the schools here would have kids watch this. There are still people here who don’t think hip hop is music and even less who listen to anything that isn’t popular :(
its funny, back in the nineties you Euro's were looking at our hip hop scene here in the states in amazement, now were looking at your hip hop scene over there in amazement. And I know our underground scene is as strong as its ever been but our truly talented mc's get no attention what so ever from the general populous. Much love our countries father from over the water, keep keeping hip hop alive
yh man, 17 time watching this and i still sing the intro all the time. The original version from the musical South pacific. The dance moves on that are mint.

Am I the only one who noticed Dizzee is completely tone-deaf in this part?
I mean he does reference he doesn’t sing at 0:15 and 0:27 but yea. “You love the singing blud” sarcasm.
Of course. :-)
They showed a few of his videos on MTVU (MTV for college) in the gym @ school. This was the first video of his I saw - I immediately went home, watched it here about 5 more times, and downloaded his first two albums.
