You should do a version of this on GTA 5 with some of the Hunters. You have to navigate on foot from point A to point B while Hunters try and run you down. Could be very interesting.
Yesss Perhaps combined with STH mechanics of no map/radar and random clothing, the hunters getting an approximate location occasionally or perhaps the departure and finish points. Hunters killing pedestrians all over on the off-chance that it is Alex, and Alex trying to keep from being spotted sneaking through alleys.
He did try surviving on foot once in a STH special video several years ago, though maybe he’d try it again th-cam.com/video/-m9PAzn_Wv4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RSluGtZveIjbmZnO
I've commented this before on an old video for this game, the devs need to have the car headlights on - maybe not constantly so the cars can lurk in the distance before charging you, but definitely when the cars get closer to the player; suddenly dying from being run over from behind gets tedious very quickly, if you throw in sudden lights from a pursuing car, casting your player's shadow in front of you all long and jerky? Much more exciting and also you know what's coming up to get you... Also cars coming at you from in front suddenly having blinding bright lights would be an extra jumpscare.

Have you ever tried Junkyard Fury? It's got an SCP style story and theme, has actual killer cars from different movies, the same survival mechanics as this game, and even a Twisted Metal style automotive combat campaign where you go head to head with the killer cars and destroy them!
Would love to see a Failrace series of Alex et al taking on old school driving games. Original Burnout, Excite Bike and classic Amiga/Commadore 64 games.. would be nostalgically tasty ❤
@@yeoldeseawitch You mean The Car and Christine? By plot, I mean getting people in a closed enclosure where autonomous cars try to kill them and who survives in the end is the winner.
This game was a great idea, but one thing holds it down. The dev decided that there had to be this stupid, boring, psychological, story, over the top of it that just.. bogged everything down. The moments when the cars were hunting you was awesome. But then came these... long... boring bits. Like so many horror games nowadays, it's like the dev writes a dumb, overly wordy, overly written, horror short story, and then forces us to listen to it during the game. It's the same thing as the constant "finding of pages that seem to be in almost every horror game nowadays, but more direct. I don't want to read or listen to some boring horror novel that sounds like the writer is trying to be HP Lovecraft or something. I want to play a video game. This is one of those games that actually would BENEFIT if the story part were removed and it was just about running from killer cars! You wouldn't need hardly any story for that. I LOVED running and dodging the cars. I HATED having to deal with all the really boring story elements.
@@bmck5002 Since TH-cam decided to delete my comment, I will tell you again: The way you phrased your comment implied you wanted more GTAV STH than the already-scheduled 1st of each month.
Boring AF. Do you know what we need from n a car game? A mode where you don’t drive a car! Now now now… We COULD give the player a car and let haunted cars chase them so they must survive long enough before they’re wrecked… But, we could just NOT do that! Wouldn’t that be fun??? Right? Right? Whose idea was that? Rishi Sunak’s? It’s certainly dumb enough. Watching him pretend how much he enjoys it because they sponsor him was just cringe.
@@yeoldeseawitch Why wouldn't it be scary? Have the weather be a permanent dark with fog. Have the interior of haunted cars show strange blurry figures. Unearthly screams. Once your car is immobilized, have a formless cloud of inky darkness leave the nearest haunted car and descent on you, at which point you die. There's many ways to make that scary. But adding a mode in which you don't drive a car in a car game is idiotic.

Need @McPoshSquatch comments to be highlighted
Could also be done with walking around in the crash dummy in BeamNG perhaps?

Seems like we got a new mode for GTA V. "The Cars that Ate Los Santos."
Wait, you know about The Cars That Ate Paris? An obscure killer car movie indeed.

Wonder if we can use atomic mutation to make Dagon scare them away?
This could be a good plot for a horror movie.
it is a good plot because its been done. several times. since the 70s.

Yeah thats the one thing I cant defend. not only does the story take away from the game, its horribly narrated and paced to begin with.
