Oh my goodness this is one of the best Lucy show ever.I showed my 2 son's and daughter this show and I told them this is what I went through with them lol
Hilarious. When I was in high school in the late 1970's, we were taught in typing class how to use manual and electric typewriters.1992 was the last time I bought an electric one, the last time I needed one.The next year was computers ever since!
Omg those chimps are soooo cute. And those little ones fighting each other I couldn't stop laughing. Lmao. What an episode and Lucille ball with her physical comedy and her watching after the chimps all at the same time. 🤣🤣🤣
Lucy was so good with all animals in all the episodes that she had animals in. Especially those sweet baby monkeys. That was so sweet when the little girl was praying in her crib. And Lucy said, awwww her's saying her prayers 🙏🙏
You could never use animals in such a way in this day and age. It was really representative of the time, that this would be considered OK. I think I even saw Lucy smacking one of them. Meanwhile I still love Lucy and all her shows.

Mr. Mooney's name in the first 3 seasons was Theodore, not Don. Did they have him play a different character at the beginning of S4 after Lucy Carmichael moved to CA? Boy, they sure had Jerry grow up overnight to have him be a child in S3 & away at school in S4! Also, her daughter was 17 in S3 so she would have been long out of college by the time her little brother followed. So they just moved Lucy to CA & forgot about Viv & the kids, & took one of the actors from the first 3 seasons into S4 as a different character, changing her name, & making her Lucy's new best friend.
These were great to The Lucy Show and afterwards Here's Lucy but I Love Lucy was the number one of all hit comedy ever. Never will there ever be a show as funny and as well acting as I Love Lucy was
Even though I had a computer during 1993, I also had a new electric typewriter and used it during most of the 1990s until it cratered. They were alot better than those manual ones. The couple with the monkeys have been on several movies, usually comedies.
The Lucy Show sort of devolved quickly, partly because of the writing and partly due to the absence of Vivian Vance. There’s really nothing to the plot of this episode. It works where it does because Lucy is a brilliant actress.
At 12:24 I cracked up when Lucy takes the baby bottle and and says to the monkey in the red dress ("now stick this in your mouth"). Now am sure if the monkey was a real baby she wouldn't have just shoved the bottle in her mouth. That's why I cracked up, the way she (Lucy) did it. Ha ha ha
I really don’t remember this one, but was recently watching an informative show about Lucy and they mentioned how much she loved working with these Chimpanzees!!! yikes I must have auto play on because here comes another one on my countertop “hey google” thingy!!
Those Boots Were Made For Walking is that old?! I love that song!🤠 A typewriter that types itself? Well I never used a typewriter a day in my life but I certainly have seen computers that talk and have voice command. My phone even does. Lucy prophesied technology.🤗
Wow how did she NOT do jail time for ALL the abuse she put these poor monkeys thru. Wow so damn wrong all for stupid ratings wow they are probably so traumatised poor things 😭
There weren't any laws protecting animals used in entertainment at that time. Also, they aren't "monkeys". Call them chimps. Chimps are Great Apes. Monkeys have tails; apes do not. That's easy to remember.
The electric typewriter didn't require the manual lever you would have to yank at every single right margin. It would beep and automatically return to the beginning of the next line. Saved a lot of elbow grease.
Electric typewriters also eventually had a corrector ribbon of white ink...you could backspace and retype over an error (blanking out the error in white) and then fill that space with the correct letter in black ink. They were noisy but copy typiats liatened to dictation on tapes so the typist often did not hear their own loid typing as much as the boss did. Bosses knew whether the worker was working or not by the volume and speed of the noise of the typing.
@@habbatusiaysaudaii4753 I had my own secretary whose job was to take down what I said in shorthand, then type it up by reading her notes and typing wothoit looking at the keys.
