    That's a sweet little bird! 23 years in business says a lot about the people and the plane. Great job!

    This is the second interesting pusher design I've seen on this channel.

    The people you find making experimental aircraft is amazing. They look like they work hard in that shop turning out kits mostly made by hand.

      It is a great experience each time we interview a Builder or Manufacturer in Aviation for sure. Everyone has something unique to offer. Thank you for commenting here today! :-)

    I’d like to see it with the aeromomentum 1.0 liter 3 cylider engine....and a set of amphib floats.

      The Excalibur was designed to sit on floats and looks absolutely gorgeous on them!👍

    I really appreciate exposure to one of my favorite aircraft. I believe for most of us sick in a purely recreational aircraft that this fills most of our needs and wants. It’s a trike with steerable know it’s real, it’s high wind was good for his ability, and it accepts a very economical power plant. All these arguments against two-stroke engines go nowhere if you’re only flying 50 to 100 hours a year. If you can tune in to TH-cam you’ll see a video of some super hard landings and that gear seems to really be able to take it. I wish the video could’ve been longer and had a real good look at the construction. I know a lot of people think this is a copy of a challenger but I would have liked to see all the differences a little more closely. I wish this fella good luck with his sales and look forward to more videos how to cover a wide range of aircraft.Thank you

      I think if I buy one with a 2 stroke ill go with the fuel injected being that I had lot of dirt bikes which were 2 stroke they were always sensitive to altitude. When I bought my bass boat it had an FI 200HP Merc never had any issues always ran perfect.

    This was an excellent 'format' (?), with the expert simply providing details rather than viewers hearing questions being asked. Who knew? Very interesting business model, having a supermodel running production. I wish these good people, every success. Thank you Bryan, for introducing them to us.

    • @MrWATCHthisWAY
      @MrWATCHthisWAY 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Poor Nikki has to make everything. I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be more advantageous to have all the machined parts to be manufactured outside and free up Nikki to perform assembly functions instead of making the small parts? I’m wondering if Nikki performs all the TIG welding too?

      😂 love it! Im quite the machine. I am head of production and do cover or oversee the majority of the functions around the shop.. would love to take all the credit but we do have a small crew we that is incredibly important to our team.. and do handle all the gusset making, tail sections and so forth I don't have time for💪😁

    Never going to fly a rear engined ultralight.... hit the ground nose first and you get and engine block travelling through you to the ground. look at some Kolb wreckage. no thanks!

    People love the term "aircraft grade". There really is no such thing. There is material specifiations and traceability. That's it.

    Has, or would, Excalibur ever consider making a motor glider comparable to Pipistrel, or Sonex Xenos for those with glider certification?

  • @rickswain147

    Landing gear looks horrible with shock cord wrap,wont last overtime. Unsafe landing in fields or sand bars, or gross weight take off or landing ,i felt mistrust when I seen the cord Wrap,cost of replacing or damage an cant take off in remote location.

    Tom copied the challenger design and changed a few things. That airframe cannot safely support, and was not designed to support the weight of a four stroke four cylinder engine!

    • @ExperimentalAircraftChannel
      @ExperimentalAircraftChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It appears they are selling mostly with these 2-stroke Hirth and Rotax options. I did NOT see a Rotax 912 present while onsite and I would also assume a completely different engine mount and some additional structure would be require to operate a heavier engine. Thanks for taking the time to engage here and for watching today!
