That rainbow effect is nice and subtle, much better than the way Sword and Shield era did rainbows
S&V is incredibly underwhelming from a collector perspective. 151 has been the only set I was excited for.

@@Namor117 yeah, those rainbows made the cards design dirty, it got rid of all the shadows and details that made the cards good. These rainbows on the other hand keeps the depth in the cards and gives it a beautiful effect too.
True. The old rainbow colorations were terrible in my opinion.
Honestly I think they’re both good the old rainbows in sword and shield are good and the new rainbow effect in this set is also

@@PolafTCG It's cause Rev actually lowkey doesn't know what he's saying half the time. It's his full time job and hardly knows it. Also it's crazy we're a year and a half into the SV era and he was not realizing the difference between a normal ex and a textured tera ex lol

I’ve only ever opened one Japanese box before and it was the future side of the Japanese equivalent of temporal forces and I kid you not the last pack was the secret rare

Seems about equivalent to what battle styles was in the last generation. Didn’t change too much just added a new cool thing (stellar cards for stellar miracle, alternate arts for battle styles)

I really want the Glameow and Purrugly cards from that set for my cat based Pokemon collection. Can't wait till it comes to English so I can get them. The Raboot full art is really beautiful as well.
it's really interesting, here in Korea, we follow the Japanese card sets but the backs of the cards are the same as the American ones! so we have this awesome mix of US/Japan card features that is really cool for someone who grew up with the US cards like me

if you're lucky you can get 2 SRs in a box, or 1 SR and 1 UR. always thought it was a rumor until i pulled it myself, but the standard is 1 SR per box
double hit boxes are definitely possible, i tend to see about a 50/50 with these boxes. i pulled a UR and an SR in the same box a couple of days ago
Also in international packs there are no pulls but just granted reverse holo, the difference is that a japanese box is 30$ to 35$ instead of 120+$ and is not bloated of useless commons.

Personally this is why I like the Scarlet and Violet era of cards more than the others. The art rares are so good! There’s so many of them, you get one in almost every pack and they don’t break the bank when you wanna buy one

What do you recommend for grading individual cards? I have a Misty’s favor that’s probably a PSA 9 or 10 but I don’t have anything else worth grading.

They come out with new pokemon way too fast without giving the OGs their day to shine. So many don’t even have a full art and have been forgotten.

I heard Japanese booster boxes are weighable. I got a online store where I sell cards etc. and got curious so I weighed and opened 10 etbs which are heavy products overall and the one that weighed 6 grams more had WAAY more and better hits. It’s sad honestly, only purchase from trusted sources!

I like the Raboot, and I'm really looking forward to the Squirtle and Bublasaur in the EN set.
It is "Noct" "owl" as in an nocturnal owl. Also pretty sure all EX cards are fully evolved Pokemon. So that was a galvantula not a Joltik.

Given how many times I’ve been full fledged burned by Scarlett and Violet as a whole I’m considering switching from English to older Japanese packs.
Only one box so far got the Briar SR. Looking for a few more AR and would like to see the rainbow border SR as well
