I just found out about this pass from a Facebook group. I already have a disability pass coming in the mail. But I really appreciate places to get this kind of info. We aren't even starting our full time adventure for 3 years when my wife retires. I can't work because I've had both hips replaced and one knee. And my back is screwed up. I will be following you gathering info until we purchase a travel trailer and hit the road. Oh and we are hung up on a Jayco.
The 3 years will fly by. We remember all the time we thought we had and then we were out living on the road. 😀

Talk about weird, I was researching the America the beautiful pass when I came across your video channel; best info yet, thats not the weird part? I am from N.H. lived and raised my family up there in Contoocook right off Dustin Rd. Myself and my oldest sons both disabled both former Marines his is service connected so thank you both, im 63 so I got you beat ;) but really well explained and thanks again!!!

People are going missing in national parks and forests under strange and similar circumstances. There are 49 cluster zones in us. Know the rules for being in the woods and never go alone. Retired cop was 1st told by park rangers to look into cases. He writes book describing facts. Look up Dave Paulidies- The Missing on youtube. He has books and a new video each week about missing people that fit the criteria. Also has The Canam project- means Canada and america. Know the rules for being in the woods and dont let friends out of sight for a minute. Know the cluster areas of the missing.

I just ordered my access pass last night and look forward to utilizing it to see all our wonders of the country.
Question tho, can you elaborate on the discounts offered for camping? I wasnt able to find much more than some parks offer a discount (most 50%) but i was curious what your experience was.

Thanks, we haven't had much experience with the discounts either. I know when we were at the Delaware Water Gap, there were fee charged for certain beaches and recreational parks. The Access Pass would get us in to those areas for 50% off the normal fee. I believe it works the same if there is camping involved too. Just remember every park could be different when it comes to the Expanded Amenity Fees. It is best to check the website ahead of time. 😃

You need to call ahead and check with each park. They don't all offer it and I believe it is for the Senior and Access passes only.

We bought our lifetime pass at the entrance gate. My sister in-law bought one also. It took less than 7 minutes for both.
FYI: The first park was out of the senior pass blanks, so the ranger gave us a free day pass.

Do you get the outside sticker when you purchase the annual pass? I'll be in Badlands with a topless(I got the joke) vehicle but my other vehicle is not topless.

I just got my lifetime military pass but where do you get the decal if needed?

They changed the rules on the Military pass. now if you are a veteran, you can get a lifetime pass for free. Just got mine.

It's so confusing. I have an America the Beautiful National Parks senior lifetime pass. The one with the picture of the red cactus flower on it. None of the passes in this video look like the ones you showed. Anyway. I go to the Salt River (Tonto Forest) Fed Recreational land site , to park my car, and just "see" the horses there, No camping, no rafting none of that. I can't seem to find out if my Lifetime Senior National Parks and Fed rec lands pass, is good for that. I tried calling the ranger station for The Mesa Arizona district of the Tonto Nat forest Fed Recreational areas., which is the district I wanna go to, but no one has answered the phone in the past 2 weeks. There are so many passes, with so many similar names, I cannot for the life of me get it figured out. Before I buy a Tonto Discovery Senor Lifetime pass for $60 bucks I'd like to figure out if my pass is going to cover this. Thanks
Hi Brad. I believe the pictures on the passes change every year, so that why they don't look the same as yours. My pass have a different picture than the new ones do too. We don't work for the National Parks of the Park Passes, so I don't have the exact answer you are looking for. We checked their website and found that the Tonto National Forest offices are operating virtually and are not open to the public right now. On the home page of their website, there is a link to "Contact the National Office'. I would try that. We also found this page on the website, showing what passes are good at the different areas. It appears the National passes are only good at the picnic sites, if I'm reading it correctly. (Hope this helps)... www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/tonto/passes-permits/?cid=stelprdb5202533&width=full

You showed where the stick on pass went on a windshield. What if a motorcycle has no windshield?
We don't have motorcycles. I believe it is placed on the front forks. You can only get a decal in person, so it would be best to ask the ranger where it goes to be sure. 😃

You need to go to one of the Federal Recreation Area to get one. They need to verify your registration. Call first though, they don't all carry them. store.usgs.gov/s3fs-public/PassIssuanceList.pdf
