It's beautiful. I didn't intended to watch as much of it as I did in one sitting, but it's just wonderful even in such a silly format. I shed a tear out of nostalgia, joy, and genuine laughter. I can't believe I just stumbled upon this gem.

Cary Elwes' Wesley had some of the funniest lines in this movie, such as "Life is pain, anyone telling you differently is just trying to sell you something" And Buttercup: "We'll never survive the fireswamp" Wesley: "Nonsense, you're only saying that because no one ever has" Lol But he's not the only one with funny lines, Vizzini: "No more rhymes, I mean it!" Andre: "Anyone want a peanut?"
I love how this was made during Covid, which is why very few of the actors are in the same place, yet it still works! Literally the best thing to come out of Covid.
Honestly, if Segel had the look, I'd be sold, but I think Shaq just about has the chops for this. (After all, Andre was a wrestler. Why not a basketballer? 🙂)
The funniest thing about that for me was that Cary still gives me major Wesley vibes playing Humperdink in that scene: "I don't think I'm quite familiar with that phrase".

I love that Javier Bardem had an actual foam sword, a spatula, a duster, a baguette, a light saber, a different blue toy sword, and a tennis racquet. His wig was also hilariously bad.
Hugh Jackman using a bamboo steamer as a crown made me laugh for about five minutes. And Pedro's shorts with the cowboy boots! This is the best thing I've seen ever.

It blows me away that despite distinct effort to make this cheesy and campy and silly it was hysterical and engaging and the final Father son scene had me weeping. Wow!

What I really like about Cary Elwes' performance is how carefully he matched Chris Sarandon's. He'd probably done that scene enough times to know every single movement Chris made.

HOW DID I EVER MISS THIS?! This is among the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. I love how so many people out there, actors from all walks and stages and celebritydom, revere and adore The Princess Bride. It really is one of the greatest movies of all time.

Elijah Wood and Andy Serkis: That's cute - but we've already been in a fantasy epic and will just casually crush our roles too. Oscar-winning Javier and Emmy-winning Bryan: That's cute - but our casual crushing of our roles will casually crush you crushing your roles. Paul Rudd: That's cute. Hold my beer while I casually crush this impression of the original guy acting ACROSS from the original guy... who is also crushing it!
I have to say, Chris pine really caught me off guard. 😳😂 I think this is easily one of the best things to come out of the pandemic. Some of these are almost like auditions. The only way I would except a remake of this is if it’s Fred Savage reading the story to his kid and we get to see how they’re imagining it.
Okay, at first when I saw Jason Segel for Fezzik I was skeptical right until I heard the impression. It is very hard to do an accurate Fezzik impression! Props to him for nailing it.
This works because it’s a tribute to the original. The only remake that could work would behave to avoid live action. But I f it was done in plasticine or puppets, with voices as per the original, that could possibly work
I didn't realize Diego Luna was in this when I watched it during the pandemic, but now I'm a huge Andor fan so I was super stoked to see him here and rewatch!
I loved each and every person and the job they did. All the family members and friends were fantastic. A special shout out to the person or people who created the Lego scenes.
I believe the Quibi broadcast of this was the absolute last thing that Carl Reiner gave us. It was a sweet note for him to go out on and I'm so glad his son Rob got him to pitch in.
This was one of the most beautiful experiances I've ever had on TH-cam. Just seeing other people enacting this classic movie that I realize now - I have watched numerous times growing up was absolute delight. Thank you to all the actors who participated. It was wonderful and funny.
This could be viewed as the best audition/casting call from a remake of a classic film that the public has ever had the privilege to witness. You get so many choices of who your favourite cast members to pick from.
John Hamm using Hamm's Beer glasses is something I missed on my first watch (24:40). Love it! Also, Patton and John absolutely killed one of my favorite scenes of all time. :)

OMG, I am watching this in the wee hours, desperately trying not to wake my family as I vainly try to stifle my howls of laughter. The constant switch up of weapons in the famous "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya' scene was perfect. I snorted with joy when Javier Bardem went from a duster to a tennis racquet. This whole thing was brilliant. I love everyone's cameos! THANK YOU!

The love for The Princess Bride stretches far and wide and it's lovely to see. I have to say that I think there are some amazing impressions going on in this, with some that are surprising (Brandon Routh and Paul Rudd were uncanny Carys and Ari Graynor is simply Carol Kane reborn) and others that are just delightful to see (who wouldn't crack a smile at the Reiners playing grandson and grandad at the end?). But even in a loving pastiche like this in which everyone is playing it fairly tongue in cheek, the actor cameo that steals the show is Bryan Cranston. He makes a simple impression of Christopher Guest into something next level amazing. The line delivery is right on. Anyway, great video!
I totally lost it when Wesley got push down the hill (stairs) and the Princess Buttercup followed and as she was rolling her dog was chasing her barking 🤣🤣🤣 I need more remakes like these PLEASE!!!

This was supremely beautiful. A nostalgic revisit to my childhood and the introduction to many of the “coming-of-age” concepts in their purest form. Perseverance, courage, revenge, wit, humor, camaraderie, aequitas, veritas, and LOVE. I pay in earnest an homage to the art form as these wonderfully creative artists have. HOW DID I EVER MISS THIS?! This is among the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. I love how so many people out there, actors from all walks and stages and celebritydom, revere and adore The Princess Bride. It really is one of the greatest movies of all time.

Brandon Routh absolutely nails the voice too.

This put a smile on my face for an hour straight. Everyone seems to be having a blast and that feeling is so contagious.

This might be the single best piece of art produced by the pandemic.
And the collection of adult men wielding lightsabers is truly stupendous.
And the, "Drop your sword" line was great with him holding a pair of scissors.
I have to say, Chris pine really caught me off guard. 😳😂 I think this is easily one of the best things to come out of the pandemic.
Some of these are almost like auditions.
The only way I would except a remake of this is if it’s Fred Savage reading the story to his kid and we get to see how they’re imagining it.
Or Muppets.
Fred Savage reading it to his grandson....while MUPPETS do the story.

Fred reads it to a classroom of kids and we see how each different kid imagines the story differently.

Okay, at first when I saw Jason Segel for Fezzik I was skeptical right until I heard the impression. It is very hard to do an accurate Fezzik impression! Props to him for nailing it.

The only remake that could work would behave to avoid live action. But I f it was done in plasticine or puppets, with voices as per the original, that could possibly work

I didn't realize Diego Luna was in this when I watched it during the pandemic, but now I'm a huge Andor fan so I was super stoked to see him here and rewatch!

I loved each and every person and the job they did. All the family members and friends were fantastic. A special shout out to the person or people who created the Lego scenes.
The final scene of Rob & Carl made me almost cry !!! OMG This Was Great ! Time WellSpent !!!

What a wonderful production. That last part with Carl Reiner brought tears to my eyes.
I believe the Quibi broadcast of this was the absolute last thing that Carl Reiner gave us. It was a sweet note for him to go out on and I'm so glad his son Rob got him to pitch in.
This was one of the most beautiful experiances I've ever had on TH-cam. Just seeing other people enacting this classic movie that I realize now - I have watched numerous times growing up was absolute delight. Thank you to all the actors who participated. It was wonderful and funny.
This could be viewed as the best audition/casting call from a remake of a classic film that the public has ever had the privilege to witness. You get so many choices of who your favourite cast members to pick from.

Inigo's revenge scene was so good. Crasnton and Bardem fully committed in their roles, and even putting real chandeliers in harm's way.
I'm not ashamed to say that the ending made me a little weepy. RIP Carl, and thank you so much.

John Hamm using Hamm's Beer glasses is something I missed on my first watch (24:40). Love it! Also, Patton and John absolutely killed one of my favorite scenes of all time. :)

OMG, I am watching this in the wee hours, desperately trying not to wake my family as I vainly try to stifle my howls of laughter. The constant switch up of weapons in the famous "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya' scene was perfect. I snorted with joy when Javier Bardem went from a duster to a tennis racquet. This whole thing was brilliant. I love everyone's cameos! THANK YOU!
Hugh Jackman with a wheel of cheese on his head. Zasie Beets’ cat! Jack Black and Paul Rudd as Wesley!!! Jon Hamm and Patton Oswald in a role that was basically meant for him. Also loving Tom Lennon as the prince with his dogs! Sophie and Joe are adorable as always! Elijah and Andy!!!! YES 🙌🏾 Javier’s sword changing with each cut! I need to see this guys do comedies! Cary Elwes at the end and Rob with his dad. Beautiful! This thing is perfect

The love for The Princess Bride stretches far and wide and it's lovely to see. I have to say that I think there are some amazing impressions going on in this, with some that are surprising (Brandon Routh and Paul Rudd were uncanny Carys and Ari Graynor is simply Carol Kane reborn) and others that are just delightful to see (who wouldn't crack a smile at the Reiners playing grandson and grandad at the end?). But even in a loving pastiche like this in which everyone is playing it fairly tongue in cheek, the actor cameo that steals the show is Bryan Cranston. He makes a simple impression of Christopher Guest into something next level amazing. The line delivery is right on. Anyway, great video!

I totally lost it when Wesley got push down the hill (stairs) and the Princess Buttercup followed and as she was rolling her dog was chasing her barking 🤣🤣🤣 I need more remakes like these PLEASE!!!

This was supremely beautiful. A nostalgic revisit to my childhood and the introduction to many of the “coming-of-age” concepts in their purest form. Perseverance, courage, revenge, wit, humor, camaraderie, aequitas, veritas, and LOVE. I pay in earnest an homage to the art form as these wonderfully creative artists have. I tip my hat to the collaboration and compassion this took to create. Thank you! Genuinely, bravo!!
