Love the Glide thread...don't have a Gammill...yet, but I do use it on my Janome 1500 HorizonCraft and my machine loves it for both quilting and emboidery.
I use glide for my quilting. The only thing when threading normal on my maching it does untwist and breaks, so I now thread on the opposite side of machine and no issues so far. I do use a 18 needle.
I am in love with Glide!!!

I use only glide on my nolting longarm, also the pre-wound bobbins

on the pop up cone, just be sure to have it closed before you begin quilting. If it is open your thread can get hung up in the bottom.
