- The new SU-27SM Isn't bad, its just that other nations have caught up to the su-27 meta and surpassed it... so it doesnt feel as good as the OG SU-27 when it got released that had the nº1 spot

Su-27 meta? The Flanker was never meta. The F-16C and Grippen dominated the previous patch and the Flanker was so bad that not a single person flew it during gaijin's twitch tournament when prizes were on the line.
The su-27 was by far the best for air rb battles; hands down... idk about tournaments with actual dogfights... but in a 16v16 it was simply better
@@GeneralArmchair How big were the tournament maps? Probably not room for BVR...if they were you would see 27ER every where, 5.8M vs 4M AIM-7M is not even close! AND the multipathing back then was at 100m, now it's at 60m!
@acdfg3 don’t forget the fact it had 10 missiles total including the only IR long range In game (r27et) with gatewidgh IRCCM
@@D4nger_CLO5EThe Er is much faster than the sparrow, but it can achieve mach 5.8. However in game, it will not hit mach 5 normally. It will only be hypersonic when you fire it over mach 1 at 12km altitude. So usually when u face it its like mach 4.5

Honestly I got the plane and Im struggling so bad. In 24 games I got 4 kills. Being stock of makes it harder, but nobody is playing the su27s anymore, and everyone is just in f15s spamming aim120as, it's retarded, as the su27 is just complete underpowered shit. Idk what to do lol.

the way I play su-27sm is 4xr73, 4xr77, 2xr27et, I launch 1 or 2 missiles at 9-10km altitude from 35-45km, sometimes I hit the target but most of the times I don't.
I then turn away and wait for my team and enemies to engage and then I sneak above and launch 2 r-27et and 80% of the time I score 2 kills with this missile, its still S tier for its mach 6 speed and range and enemies don't get missile warning because its IR missile
then I finish the rest of the enemies with r-77 from 10-25km range
imo we need r-77-1 but only new flankers can carry it such as su-30, su-35 and su-57
we basically already have R-77-1

The problem is it seems they nerffed the radar refresh rate on both of the Flankers. So now in a head on it can at times take multiple seconds to lock or even pick them up on radar. VS a 16 or 15 this will get you killed 90% of the time as their radars refresh almost instantly, maybe 1 second max vs your multiple second refresh, some times up to 4 or 5 seconds ☠️ RIP

@@BiasedThunder was it that long last patch??? I have over 2k games in my first Flanker it's refresh rate did not feel this slow last patch!
@@D4nger_CLO5E yep! Doing a full vertical scan has always taken 8 seconds, and su27 doesn’t have any other src angles to fasten it… however between left-right cycles it covers some part of the vertical angle so it’s possible to refresh instantaneous
4:03 So when your HMD gets chaffed like this example, keep your radar lock on the chaff. The radar cone is pretty large and its worth it to keep it on even if its not locked on your enemy directly. If you werent using a FOX3 here, the missile may have missed due to dropping the lock
its funny when all f16s, mirages and grippens got a buff so that their radar doesn't lock chaff, but ussr china and germany got left out.
Hey man just wanted to comment and say that you have a great format going on for these videos. your videos are really short and easy to watch, they have a great informative balance between guide and review and overall the video and production quality is great. I also got some suggestions for ya, if you wanted to reach a greater audience with these kinda videos perhaps doing some lower tier (3.7 to early jets is probably what I would do) videos that newer players can relate to. anyway keep it up what your doing here is great. (ps) keep up advertising the channel at the start of games because thats where i came from.

A sim with dice-roll CM's, no Mig-23, no modern MiG-29 or modern Flanker, no RCS or ground clutter not actually existing on most non PD radars.😘

@@shahbaz6741 the 27 is better at all of it...except the 29SMT has a better radar then the Flankers. Maneuvers, Missile count, Speed. The 29SMT and the 27SM both get the R77, the 27 can take 10 missiles total, the 29SMT 6 total. They both have the same 30mm cannon, no difference there.
@D4nger_CLO5E I'm on rank 5 got there in 1 week , wondering what I should dogfight in the su27 or mig29 HOWEVER I keep hearing the su27 has a bad flight model and is a bad plane compared to the mig 29 is this true?

@@Boris_The_Turtle Well I don't play SB Air but I do play ARB and yes the 16 and 15 hold energy better, with the high off bore 73 you can get very nice kills in close. I also don't find it hard to force an over shoot when using the Flanker....Guns only though the Flanker gets smoked though.
@@D4nger_CLO5E Yeah, most players don’t bother slowing down or properly reacting to you, so you can use the speed loss to fire an R-73 and win. The F-16s, F-15s, etc should win every time but I guess they don’t want to lol.
If they show signs of brain activity you may end up toast though.

Even if they were in favour of Russian equipment I believe they are interested in making more money… forcing players to grind another nation to have the best plane

@@ZLEEP2324 And are you going to forget that while that at the exact same time happened in Air RB in Ground RB the Tunguska had no western counterparts and was smashing CAS left and right while the Ka-50 was dominating the ground. So even at that point the US only had some advantage.
