Packers’ fan. This is the right take. So many comments about how Caleb played “much better”. That’s half the story. He’s the same QB he was last week. Has great potential but he’s a rookie, plays like it and has a leaky offensive line. Your old OC was awful. The interim guy developed a game plan to meet Williams where he is now - not a year or two from now. Designed runs, encouraged him to scramble instead of hanging in the pocket, and emphasized short routes and getting the ball out to avoid drive-killing sacks. Frankly, the Packers were not prepared for it and they should have been, but credit to Williams who also made some good decisions and great throws. Get him In rhythm and confidence, and the downfield throws will eventually be there. God the Bears can’t develop QB’s.
Yes a loss. We scored touchdowns, protected our qb. We had sustained drives and scored. In the end we lost by 1point to our oldest rival, that hurt. But we showed up, we played with passion. Big improvement in my eyes. I will appreciate what we did right in this game. We looked like a team for the first time in weeks.
But, overall, we improved dramatically. That's important. Been a Bears fan for 60+yrs. At some point we have to trust the coaches and players. This constant rotation of qb and coaching is not working. All the preseason hype was crap. Stick to 1 qb and 1 coaching staff and we will win games.
This loss reminds me of the Matt Naggy era... they played not to loss... Andy Reed and the Chiefs would have played to score a TD, not to kick a field goal.
There is a consistent trend where our players don't understand situational strategies and awareness. This falls on the coaches for not preparing players correctly and/or communicating in real time what approach to take. On the bright side, Thomas Brown called a great game!!! We will see in weeks to come how things play out.
Yeah but blocking on a FG is basic (even if the Packers got away with some illegal stuff). Defending a Hail Mary is basic. At what point do the players stop making boneheaded mistakes?
A few things, the gB coach was awful down I the redone early. Second, what 5 plays 80 yards GB goes down ( when needed ) gets a TD and the lead, Its more than the FG Blocked
How to feel? The season is lost. Flus and the coaches are gone. All that matters now is can caleb develop and Thomas Brown gave us a huge boost that he can do that. So I'm happy. They're not making the playoffs so who cares. Plus if they start winning, Flus will be back. I'm not rooting for them to lose, but I'm also not sure winning really helps us. Just need to develop.
Also, it's not a rivalry. We've been out coached for 30 years. And now we're about to get destroyed by the better teams in the division. So the question is does anyone care we're the worst team in the division? It's not just the puckers.
Noone thought we would win this game. The fact that we had a chance to win off a kick every single bears fan would take that any time. That's why it's positive. The hail Mary won't always hit and the kick won't always get blocked. We are right there. Be happy caleb is positive after this one cause after Washington this team broke. Let's not break again after a loss like this
I sure wouldn’t mind Olin Kreutz being the Bears head coach and picking some of his old players to help him on the fence in our fence. It would be amazing.
I just can't wrap my mind around the crazy ways we always seem to lose in dramatic fashion against the packers truly makes me believe in the simulation theory 😂😅
The word for the day is “prepared.” There will always be a time of the game or play of the game when the Bears will not be prepared. Eberflus is int preparing this team to win. His idea of football smarts is to have a good trick play. Our idea of football smarts is to have a good scheme. It doesn’t surprise me that the Lions thought they had a block “coming.” The “tell” was the lack of confidence in calling a play to get closer. The Bears are weeks away from having a complete game. The good thing is that they are going to see what it takes to win: Complete games, no let downs, no slow starts, no taking plays off, knowing what the play design is, and grinding.
I came out pleased with Caleb and pissed at Flus and the defense. Get some new coaching, spend every asset you have in the offseason on OL and DL and establish a winning culture with competent coaches.
That was a hard game right to watch right, and you saw right the Bears right trying hard right to win the game right. They have to right find better ways right to win the game right. Right!
My point exactly…..Caleb was on fire in that last drive. He was moving the ball. So why not let him cook for 1 or 2 more plays before kicking the FG. Who knows, the way he was on fire in that last drive might have hit a TD. We don’t know……but we do know he was on target on that last drive
As a 35 year old Packer fan... the Bears have made my football fandom the most fun experience imaginable! My entire life has been my team owning the Bears and i just want to thank you all for your sacrifices for my happiness
Caleb/Offense handed a win to secondary vs GP and to defense vs Commanders and both times a loss. Almost there is still "Ls" in loss column. OC Brown a good move. HC Coach change to Carroll or Bellacheck

When this head coach is making decisions when he’s in a position to get a point, he should get a point. I’ve always felt that if you need to go for two points you only do it when you really need it. I thought that he gambled early when he didn’t need too. just get the point when you can get a point. The Block field goal would’ve taken them into overtime.
lets see... Bears History they once lost a playoff gm on a partial block of a FG ........ DOUBLE DOINK......... yesterday they lost on a partial block of a FG........ Doink.... it actually hit the crossbar

I mean I can go on. Only thing he did right was the Montez Sweat trade and trading away the 1st pick to the Panthers in exchange for DJ and picks.

YEAH there was a penalty on the field goal, and what does this sorry ass coach not do? Is get in the face of the refs!!!!! DOES NOTHING!!! SAYS NOTHING, NO PASSION TO WIN,,, he sucks and so do the bears org.

I love what I saw from Caleb receivers and the line our coaches critical thinking not so much DaBears
@RickyAnderson-fk7pv those 3 sacks were so awe inspiring...no wonder McCaskey has no incentive to change things up.
Why isn’t Olin coaching that line??!
Because George McCaskey doesn’t like him and is cheap. when Olin was approached to be a coach for the bears they wanted to pay him like $15 an hour.
Exactly!!! That's the guy you really need to lead that O line.. but yea I guess there's bad blood
Because the bears dont want coaches , they want yes men
FACTS!!!!
Bears want guys who sing in a high pitch to coach their teams
We need Olin's fire and knowledge on the coaching staff. I think he would hold players and other coaches accountable.
This loss reminds me of the Matt Naggy era... they played not to loss... Andy Reed and the Chiefs would have played to score a TD, not to kick a field goal.
Yeah but also Nagy had to deal with Trubisky as his QB, he knew the guy was limited. I guarantee if he had Caleb, he would not be coaching to lose.
For as good as that pancake was, Braxton Jones STILL can’t defend the bull rush. That’s concerning from the blind side
Yea dude he sucks im tired of seeing that guy getting destroyed 😢
He needs to develop his lower body strength in which he is lacking , big time .
