That "orange" Saint is beautiful!!! It's the 10% copper, in just the right place, that did that! It's so rare to see that over an entire surface! AWESOME!!!
I know most dig the copper color gold..and it is a beauty, no question. The fingerprint morgan gets top choice with me. The toning over the print makes it a stunning example 😍
My 71cc half is xf but holed. It is saleable in any grade as you rarely see one. Be careful on raw ones. Only buy it raw if you are dealing with an honest and knowledgeable dealer like The Coin Geek. The 71P is pretty common and adding a CC would make it valuable.
Fun nerdy language comment, but in French if the main word starts with a vowel, then le or la is converted to l' and it just runs all together for less syllables. As in, l'orange. So much more fun to say.
that orange gold is awesome. toneing in gold when its ornge like that hints to me it was ether pressed against some really old carboard/heavy paper (for real long time). or it was kept on early jewelry box felt displays. if he knows how it was kept id love so much to know. great video thanks.
About that “wheel mark”, is it possible it was on the planchette before the coin was struck? I mean, the mark appears to go right up to, if not under, the hair.
It would've been stamped out if it was on the blank. It's the lowest surface so sees the most pressure. That said they should've net graded it. It's very minor and a million different things can scuff a coin. How would a wheel only mark the field up against the bust without marking the bust? The wheelmarked is a ridiculous conclusion.
I HATE fingerprints on coins. It may be a 64, but the fingerprint totally turns me off. Maybe I'm in the minority, because I see a lot of people commenting on how nice the fingerprint coin is, but it's NOT for me.

BITD folks did use pencil erasers quite a bit on coins! 60s!

Old Grading when Raw before 3rd party grading could be very favorable in later grading years!
Blood orange!
We like your friends….-:)
if that thumb print belongs to someone famous the value would skyrocket!
Love the old gold
Great vid
Lol, thumbprints,
Hi Ben. I love the 25-D Quarter Eagle. I like the toning on the 24 Saint. Have a wonderful weekend, Everyone.

Certain deposits from out west produce orange gold. I forgot why exactly it does that.
I dont get the wheelmark grading?

If they're that glaring I agree with you. If I have to search and tilt and look for it then it might be ok.
