Okay, the matter isn't as straightforward. It wouldn't be as much fun if it all was in your face. It's a sort of a (meta)-metaphysical mystery series, a drawn-out ARG Kirkbride plays with us (it got to the point where we don't even need Kirkbride to keep playing, which I think was his intention for c0da in the first place). "Neotechno fever dream" is so awesome to a large degree thanks to the juxtaposition with the "missionary-style" regular lore, contrasts and shit. So..be careful what you wish for.
@@AthenaTennosN To me it seems like a wasted effort. All that juicy stuff that gets hinted at remains behind the scenes while it would've made the game much better if it was at the forefront. @@Srksius2802 TH-cam ate my fucking comment. Gosh. Allow me to just reword what I was trying to say in brief here. Morrowind didn't actually drop chim-bombs right and left, and was decently sneaky with the deep-lore stuff (even going as far as framing Vivec's timefuckery as just "conflicting historic accounts"), and its alien feel is mostly caused by unusual _aethetics,_ more Zoroastrian/Judaic/Eastern take on fantasy. These are unusual flavours, and one of the main reason I love it so much, but it doesn't exactly make it _deep._ Meanwhile Oblivion directly talks about Amulet of Kings, mantling Sheo/Pelinal, Dreugh Kalpa, "daedric" Nirn, "turning mortals into Makers" (i.e. CHIM) and much more of this caliber. Skyrim takes it a notch further, and openly acknowdleges kalpas, eldrtich aspects of the Elder Scrolls themselves, describes Thu'um as "reality-altering", and hints at what Thalmor really are after with the College questline. Oh, and then there's a guy in Whiterun who's chimming so hard, he tries to make sure everyone else hears, too. Can you get any more upfront about this stuff without becoming intrusive? The point is, there's much more "weird" lore in the newer games than in MW, it's just that the games themselves become progressively more shallow mechanically/aesthetically, which makes it seem as if their lore has been watered down, even though they actually have upped the Kirkbridean madness presence quite a bit over the last two games. And then there's ESO where stuff like _towers_ /Mnemoli/Consellations casually become plot points. They even double down on it, most notably in the Clockwork City storyline. Sotha Sil openly discusses the concept of the metaphysical "Prison", builds devices that are essentially _computers_ and star-based HDDs and plots to eradicate Padomaiac aspects of existence in order to create the Tamriel Final. Oh, and the Argent Aperture business. Read the book "Once" on UESP, you're gonna like it. tl;dr - fever dream lore is doing okay, it's design of the games that is the problem. edit - point is, Eldritch aspects of the lore feel more significant when they aren't super apparent.
@@AthenaTennosN You are right there is more esoteric lore the further the series progresses, but that's also what bothers me. If you're gonna make weird worldbuilding then I'd like to se it present in the games themselves rather than just lore text. I keep hearing how the Empire had spaceships and trains and whatnot but no actual ruins to match them. Bizarre stuff felt more in line with Morrowind because the setting there was already alien. Meanwhile Oblivion keeps telling me Pelinal was pretty much a bastard child of Doomslayer and the Terminator but his armor design doesn't reflect that at all. If anything it feels and looks like a generic crusader/footknight you see in any game. Altmer are described to be this technologically advanced race of mathemages but their homeland in ESO is just so plain and boring. TL;DR I fully agree with you but I'd really like to see the esoteric aspects represented better.

This is technically fan creation but it's probably more lore friendly and true to the made lore and world building of the elder Scrolls than TES6 will Ever hope to be
4:15 Crystal-Like-Law lives again. It was the Altmeri tower, before the Daedra destroyed it. Let's call it Walk-Like-Crystal now, as it's now the Altmeri Numidium.
Assuming I understood all of this right, making a giant tower-numidium out of crystal and thusly making everything really really hot and bright when the sun rose, is exactly the kind of crazy bullshit I’d expect from TES, VERY creative, VERY cool
3:00 this sends shivers down my spine. I can't believe how well you manage to transition between two different moods so well. The Tavern is the perfect set up for what came later imo
There is everything: Hot Nord-on-Bosmer action, music encapsulating the very essence of the moment, threads of lore that are so intricately woven together that you do not know where canon ends or even ever existed in the first place... You're turning me into a proselyte of your work.

Figures that would be the absolute worst thing for the Elves, for them and all those they love to fall to ruin, and the world NOT ending because of that. Before I watched this video, I wanted some story about stopping the Thalmor from destroying the towers and thus the world. Now though, I want them to succeed in their great endeavor, to throw all they hold dear onto the pyre in the hopes of freeing them from Lorkhan's curse of Mortality from beyond the grave. I want Crystal-Like-Law like Walk-Brass and crush all of elvenkind underfoot on its way to tear Ada-mantia and the Convention asunder. And I want them to FAIL. I want them to know they have sacrificed all the had for an effort doomed from the start, and to hear the Doom Drum come for them.
@@Yuki_Ika7 I mean, sure, but I'm pretty sure the whole objective of the plan isn't to destroy all the towers, just Tower Zero. Eliminate the Convention, and you unravel all of existence- or so the theory goes.
@@YOGI-kb9tg Yeah, but the only officially given name to it in the series is “Aku-Aku” which is clearly a play on Akulakhan from Morrowind. I think it’s still just 2.0 because it’s a reconstruction of Dagoth Ur’s work and still called by the same name.
@@the_polish_prince8966 and in the video the Camino of fudgemuppet literally tells us what's going on with the numidium about the thalmor useing the skeleton of the one in morrowind and useing what remains of the first numidium as a shell and scrap dwemer metal to fill in the parts.
His voice is so ragged too. Like he's known about the end coming for ages and has been trying to tell people but no one takes him seriously, and now it's here
And thus, the tower that walks reduced the sands of the ancient Alik'r into mounds of hardened glass, equal to that of its skin - which is adorned with the beauty and pain of the Altmer's existence. For this was not a creation to bring about a new medium, but to instead bring about it's end.

Going from intrigue, to humor, to existential horror and IRL chills when you depicted WALK-BRASS again (seriously you've done a great job with this each time I've seen it), back to humor. Wonderful. I look forward to seeing where you go next.
Man, this was awesome. Like a pilot for the animated anthology (TES Almanac? And not really a pilot, with number 4 in it) show that is too good to be real. I don't even remember what other "first" episodes caught me so fast - maybe some of the older but not really anime of 2000th-early 2010th, but can't think of much - this feels more like a beginning for some of the better animated movies. And once again, the sound design and music - why is it that all of your stuff in terms of grandness and quality feels like something out of the best animated movies of 90th-2000th?
I like anime of that era, the hyper contrasty stylized stuff. Even tho as a kid I watched Candy Candy, Sailor Moon and Grendizer. But also that really grim cyberpunk anime I can't find that had a guy hanged by cables similar to how Sotha Sil dies. Nowdays it also has a retro aspect. +Going into frame by frame animation I initially felt more comfortable with imperfections because I could see similar problems in the old anime. Thank you for a great comment!
What I saw: One-Ear and Mannimarco(?) somehow using Walk-Brass to convert the crystal cities of the Summerset Isles into a giant Crystal-Like-Law Mecha What I understood: Ysgramor slaying elf boipussy
Feel like this captures the way that most of the TES world, everyone's having a good time with random adventures and nonsense and then some one has to roll out a world ending scheme.
Mannimarco using undead to power the Numidium and turning the whole of Sentinel into a ritual to create a literal god from the Crystal Tower and the Eye of Magnus in Alinor? In this sense, it wouldn’t be strange if the Thalmor’s reasoning of prolonging the civil war is because they need the bodies. Either that or Elenwen’s been fucked by Ulfric so much she loves him too much to let him get captured by the Empire. I love this shit so much
It just occurred to me - this Numidium-like thing is basically the unholy rebirth of the Crystal-like-Law, the tower that deals with Certainly, One Real Truth, Musts and Shoulds, right? It affirms something, and makes it the only truth. There's a book in ESO that seemingly suggests it. Which is thematically the opposite of the original Numidium, that was built to literally nope things out of existence. I wonder if the final video is a mind-blowing showdown between the original Numidium piloted by the Nerevarine and this hybrid (kinda like "Landfall:day 0").
What about the Dragonborn? One of the Thalmor leaders behind this plot is, of all people, Ulfric and Elewen's son. How did the Dragonborn's story go in this timeline?
i want the fudgemuppet characters to keep coming back now. please it would be fun to just see them or have more segments with them just popping up out of nowhere.

God dammit Nirn, you can't just keep building giant god robots.

I do that with pelinal video.

Not sure what hit me harder, seeing Numidium rolling up out of nowhere or that intro with the Bosmer.
Assuming I understood all of this right, making a giant tower-numidium out of crystal and thusly making everything really really hot and bright when the sun rose, is exactly the kind of crazy bullshit I’d expect from TES, VERY creative, VERY cool

What I saw: One-Ear and Mannimarco(?) somehow using Walk-Brass to convert the crystal cities of the Summerset Isles into a giant Crystal-Like-Law Mecha
What I understood: Ysgramor slaying elf boipussy
Wow, this is on a whole other level! And dat beginning tho 😏
Hey, Frederik!
Feel like this captures the way that most of the TES world, everyone's having a good time with random adventures and nonsense and then some one has to roll out a world ending scheme.
Goddamnit, I've rewatched the scene with fudgemuppets five times now, it's just so damn comfy and entertaining. A+ job.
I love the little Daggerfall theme and how you can hear the guards yell halt.

I don't scare easy but 2:56 and on filled me with some existential dread
The opening frame's Falmer characters read, from up-down, right-left: TONIGHT WE BECOME FLESH CRYSTAL SKIN OF OUR PURPOSE
I wasn't able to make out the first two daedric letters on the scroll on the FudgeMuppets's table, but I think it goes something like: __ON DREW, maybe DAGON DREW?
On the outro scene, both the left side and right side poster, daedric and falmer letters respectively read: RESTRAINING ORDER
those first two letters on the scroll are probably 'm'
so it will be something like: ..mmon drew..
"common" maybe?
the second word is obscure tho
@@innominatoosservatore2592 I also thought it could be M, but it didn't make much sense to me. The second word is probably just Drew, it is the name of one of FudgeMuppet's members
