Thanks for posting your update on her condition. I will send some visualization & other positive energizations to Ms. Tweedy & family, for a full, complete recovery. I urge any who read this to do so too, the more help, the better.
Every song for 20 years sounds exactly the same, and for whatever reason, we still love it. I never want their sound to change. I feel like bands that have to "evolve" do not have a unique sound. They went for the trendy sounds of the time to sell records of staying true to what they love. Real music fans appreciate artist being genuine in their art.
Love that the door-to-door stuff was shot where the Tweedys live - in the Chicago neighborhood where I grew up! Lots of my old schoolfriends' houses were featured in the background.
I heard this playing from someones car this morning at the lights. I couldn't hear the words and so spent the day googling what I thought were the lyrics, nothing. I then looked at local radio playlists and no luck... but found I didn't know what day it was (4 hours later). I used google maps to find out exactly what time I was at the lights searched again and JUST FOUND THIS SONG! Shout out to KUTX for playing this amazing song and I have to say I can't help but be so utter comfortable with it's sheer Lennonness. Then to hear it was a father and son collaboration, it can;t get any better that this. Thanks Tweedy's!
@simpsoned27 I'm over here wondering who is legit better? We can talk all day about Steve, Jeff, and Bernard, but my goodness, Glenn is on another wavelength, and he's studious enough to duplicate their best work, and work on Yankee alone almost stands up against individual sessions of the others
Ultrasecond77 Not to mention Nelson Van Alden, the prohibition officer in Boardwalk Empire. Played excellently creepy by Shannon. But he looks hot in this!
Jeff Tweedy and Michael Shannon together at last. One of the world's best musicians and one of the world's greatest acting talents. Molly Glynn, honored here by two men I greatly respect.
Would love to see a list of the cameos. I recognize some of these folks and some are vaguely familiar. Anyone here know all these folks? And yes, Nick Offerman is the balls.
Chano at 2:28 ☺ Love Wilco and Chance! Illinois political connections clearly, but awesome! I've seen the video before, but obviously I forgot that Chance made an appearance. I would have already made this comment. I was watching acl on the original air date when they perform this and came to TH-cam soon after. I've been on Chance since before Coloring Book and ths seems to be around the same time as CB. Well anyway maybe I commented on it and forgot or maybe I didn't see how remarkable it was then. I'll probably forget and comment the same thing in a few years
Yeah, when I heard it first on the radio, I thought that this must be the Lennon-Claypool Delirium, but when I found it on the radio playlist & looked at the vid, I saw it's Tweedy. Greatness any which way, who, when or what, this is.
Thumbs up to send good vibes to Jeff's wife who's battling cancer
She's making a steady recovery! My family is somewhat close to Jeff's.

@@barmypharmacist How is she today?
This might be one of the best videos ever made. Hysterical.
P.S. Everybody buy this record. Now.

Awesome!
The song, the video, Conan and Andy cameos, the fact that Nick Offerman directed...everything about this is yes.
Steve Albini, Glenn, Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, Mavis Staples, friends & family members & Chicago heroes, hahahaha the cameos in this are hilarious.
I can’t believe it’s been 9 years already. Wtf…

THAT is persistence! I'll bet it was my car.
The best cameo in this video is the Glenn Kotche cameo.

The best cameo is Steve Albini at 2:31!!

Brilliant stuff by the father/son and a great album
Tweedy eh? Loving them
The kid might just be bringing out the very best in his dad! Tweedy rules!
Songs and videos like this are why I'm still 100% optimistic about the state of music. Nice job, Jeff and Spencer.
Algum brasiliero em 2024??? Eu escurava isso na Play TV era bom demais!!
Holy Shit thats in Chicago! Western, Elston, Diversey Intersection!
Still stuck with the thought.. " Did I find you or did you find me"
More bananas
Can't help but hearing Jeff sounding like Lennon on this one.
Jinx in my mind!!!
I just searched this song because I thought it was John Lennon!
Perfect. Just genius. Well done, Jeff and Spencer. This made my day!
I am going to see Tweedy tomorrow here in G.R. Michigan......same venue I saw Wilco at almost 15 years ago......
The person who plays the Steve character is such a good actor. He better be doing more than music video cameos.
I think it's Michael Shannon, the same guy who played General Zod in Man of Steel.
Ultrasecond77 Not to mention Nelson Van Alden, the prohibition officer in Boardwalk Empire. Played excellently creepy by Shannon. But he looks hot in this!
Didn't expect that chance the rapper cameo
FR & I LOVED ITTT i was like oh yee must be a Chicago thing 🤠

There's always money in the banana stand.

Jeff tweedy is a genius comedic, lyrical and musical.
Still the bestest thing on youtube.
Love the kitties!
Great song and the video is incredible.
Holy shit. I’m stoked
Spencer Tweedy looks like elijah wood and michael cera had a kid that took the most attractive elements of his parents. Its a good thing.
:-D
Michael Cera had a kid!?
+Montana MacLeod Funny I always thought that about young Jeff Tweedy.
jim parsons
Some people still make great music . It's not all junk .

I love this! What a poignant statement about the sick and pathetic state of the music industry. Great song, too!
JO JO JO!!
Great.

Tweedy is such a great project.
This is a fun little video - great music to boot! #Tweedy

Wow this is like a who's who of Chicago artists. Really well done. Thanks for this Tweedy.
Michael Shannon can just be in a scene and that scene is automatically better. Legend.

Great video - the whole double album Sukierae is an "exhibition of panache" indeed - so beautifully written, performed & produced.

The great Albini at 2:31
Steve Albini @ 2:31
Lennon-ish voice? liking this so far.
Yeah, when I heard it first on the radio, I thought that this must be the Lennon-Claypool Delirium, but when I found it on the radio playlist & looked at the vid, I saw it's Tweedy. Greatness any which way, who, when or what, this is.
Nice to see that some still know how to make a great video AND great music! #Tweedy
Oh my god this video is beyond fantastic, I love the ending! I wish they would show up at my doorstep so I could buy an album.
