I'm genuinely amazed that this video hasn't gotten the same recognition as the Patrick Bartley video. It's almost criminal how underrated Erena and this performance is. Amazing work all around, keep it up yall.

@@operationblackout1095 It’s still fantastic music that deserves recognition. Nobody favors Dizzy over Miles simply because Dizzy has “more complex solos.”

Her power is impressive and I agree that she is as good as Bartley though with a different style.
Getting a LOT of Cannonball energy from Erena here...love everything about this performance.

I met her, she plays sometimes with the Ulysses Owens Jr. Big Band
Explosive, communicative drumming, beautiful, lyrical guitar tone (on a solid-body no less), and some killer hard-bop alto playing on display. Emmet keeps on showcasing the endless talent, young and old, that NYC has to offer!

Those musicians are amazing! The speed and fluency of Erena and Yotam is extraordinary and then accompanied by a trio of such expertise... it is a marvel.

How impressive Erena is, I just heard her on the smalls live broadcast with her group, listen to her improvisation in Cherokee. Magnificent.
Nice sound out of Erena's alto. Difficult tempo to play, but she was terrific. Of course the entire band was jamming as usual.

When I started studying jazz, one of the first tunes I kept listening over and over was There Will Never Be Another You Billy Taylor's Trio feat. Russell Malone here on youtube. Mr Harper's swing feel was just great back then as it is now. Great memories, thanks!

I thought Ms. Terakubo's saxophone playing was so amazing, that I wanted to know what kind of background she had, and on the internet , I was really surprised!
Because she was a graduate of a high school in Sapporo, my home town! I am truly moved because such a wonderful saxophone player has jumped out of my hometown and is now active all over the world! ! I became a big fan of Terakubo san ! And of course the video broadcast from Emmett's house is really exciting, so I'll watch your video!!
