Nice job Peter. Taylor was a very historic figure. My 3rd Great Grandfather, Absalom Austin Townsend, fought under General Taylor in the Blackhawk War as part of the Wisconsin Militia in 1832 in southeast WI. Absalom was a miner in the lead region at the time and he later was a 49'er in the California Gold Rush and founded the town of Rough and Ready, California in the fall of 1849. He named the town in recognition to Zachary Taylor who had just taken office as President. There is a 1958 episode of the old TV Series Death Valley Days called, "Rough and Ready" on TH-cam, it portrays the founding of the town during the gold rush.
