I was one of the lucky ones to drive a Magnum Superliner for an oil company here in Northeastern Pa from February of 87 till October of 91 when the boss put me into a 92 Superliner.
Mine had the E-9 hooked to the T-2090 9 speed going into Full Screw ( no power divider on either rear; both axles were powered all the time) 5:02 rears with low pro 24.5’s for a top speed of 64 mph. It was dyno’d and put all 500 horses on the ground. Everyone passed me on the level but when they were down shifting on the hills I was rolling past at my top speed
Such a bummer that cabovers are a dying breed. I guess I understand some of the reasons why, but still they look awesome. Thanks for the truck tours here.

My dad had one of these he bought it at the Mack Dealership around Pickering Ontario if he knew then what I know now he might have kept it, particularly if there was only 89 of them produced. Oh well he bought it to work not to sit around and look pretty😅
That truck was sold out of east side Mack out of Pickering. I have tried to find the truck but have not had any luck

Such a cool looking cabover. Ford and Mack COE's of that era, at least designwise, looked ready for a future beyond the 1980's. Does anyone know what the filler, just to the upper right of the passenger front tire is for?

Yes, as I say in the video.
She said it has a 500hp Mack E9 V-8.
All MACK MAGNUM came from factory with V8's hp from 440-600!!! Many ppl would even do more upgrades on them for even more hp & torque. I knew a gentleman that had the MACK MAGNUM SUPERLINER with 1000hp with 6×4 Twin Stick transmissions with 3.70 rears that ran coast 2 coast in the mid 80's-2000's
