You have some time to test the mic at the beginning of the exam and if the test recording doesn’t sound clear then you might need to raise your concerns to the invigilator
Since majority of the university in USA don't consider PTE, it's better to give IELTS examination if you are looking to pursue for bachelor's degree in USA

Most likely they won't change your scores :( nor give another test
