My Ultimate Hunting Setup

  • In this video I will show you my favorite setup for hunting. This includes the Reximex Regime bullpup, Arken Zulus HD 5-20 LRF Night vision scope and the InfiRay T2 thermal camera in combination with the above.
    This combination is small and compact, well balanced and easy to handle in tight spaces, such as in a hide, or inside a vehicle. The thermal camera is great for finding vermin, when the Mk1 eyeball, or ir night vision scope cannot see through thick undergrowth. With the Arken Zulus and its inbuilt ballistics software, you can hit anything within the rifles limits at the press of the laser range finder, making it a very accurate package for the hunter who needs to control vermin in the most efficient way possible.

    Hi Mark thank you for showing me the angled shot, well explained, The Arken Zulus is the one for me, I'm waiting for the Arken 3-12 to come out, before I make my decision, I'm sure I'm not the only one who admires your dedication to your channel, keep it up mate, thank you for the mention in this video. Airborne..

      Thanks, Garry,
      Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer for the 3x12 version.

    Excellent vid, and looking forward to the discovery scope review, which as it happens I bought one about 6 months ago exactly the same by the look of it, crystal clear and edge to edge veiw, got it from OW for £300, and it's, a right bargain.. Came with 3 sunshades ( unlikely theyll be needed) a levelling devise, set of rings, throw lever, cloth, & scope caps, it's a beefy bugger, but suites the wolverine.. Great scope

      Yes, it's a great scope, and it comes at a great price. I believe it's even cheaper now as well. From the link that I was sent, it can now be purchased for about £275, plus they will be sending a discount code for viewers to use at the beginning of next week.

    Hi Mark, that's a superb looking set up, but for what reasons did you choose the Arken Zulus over the Oneleaf Commander NV400?

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Small and lightweight that is more suited to a bullpup, plus good clear image from the 1080 video. The One Leaf NV400 has its place. It is more suited for a full sized rifle, and the latest Eagle version uses the Mk2 processor, so expect a better video playback quality than the older scope.

    Do you know when the thermal scope will be out and a rough price ?

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, but from what they said at the show, it's not too far behind the 3x12 ir. Demand will be high, and they say that they want price to be among the best value for money. We'll just have to see what they come up with.

      @airgunsniper-elite7385 Thanks ,I will be getting a Vixen short in .177 and lookingbto put an NV on top but can't make up my mind between the zulus or the pard ,I will want a laser ranger finder with ballistic adjustable cross hairs and then you go andxsay they are putting in a thermal capability as well ,I am well down the NV rabbit hole at the moment lol please keep us posted

      @crazycressy7986 You can't go wrong with the vixen.
      I have looked through the Pard equivalent with the rangefinder from a friend at the club called Dennis. From memory, the video quality was very good, like the zulus, although the scope was more conventional in shape and heavier, plus about £200 more to buy. At the end of the day, it's all down to personal choice. If it were me, I would hold fire until the multispectral ir/thermal comes out. If you are lucky, it will be as close to a grand as some are hoping for.

      @airgunsniper-elite7385 will do ,I will just stick a cheap scope on it for now 👍also got my new HW97K to play with so this should keep me going ,won't be getting any more as she said 2 rifles and that's it ,well 1 at first but you know what it's like ,she should be use to be as I had 11 powder burners before I gave up shooting 6 years ago ,but I could not stand it any longer ,but I will be sticking to air rifles, just shocked at the price ,the Vixen cost more than my AR15 was lol

    Does the Akron really take in to account for angled shots I haven’t heard that mentioned before in reviews, if anyone could give a definite answer would be appreciated 👍

      Well, the elevation and cant readings are there for a reason and even show up in the ballistics chart, showing your incline. At a 39-degree angle, it was spot on, as you could see in the shot. It should hit whatever your rifles range is capable of, as long as you put in the correct input for your setup and barametric and weather conditions. If you really want to go deep, do your muzzle velocity and down-range velocity and use the Pyramid air app to find your rifle and pellet, or slugs true BC, as it will always vary slightly from the factory figures.

      I don’t believe it does no where says it from what I can see, the Alex 4k pro has the same angle and level readings displayed and dose not calculate in for elevated shots into its ballistic app. Also adding the days barometric pressure and temps will have no noticeable difference in in-pack points on such a short distance at all it’s more for 600yrd shots. On slow mo your shot went high from the poa given, to really find out if the angle is calculated in do a elevated reading at 100yrd then a flat 100yrd reading and compare the two I would very interested to know

    I hope the new versions have onboard data entry rather than using a phone app

      Anything is possible with firmware updates. That's the way OneLeaf have gone with their NV400 scopes. Some people seem to use their phones for everything, though, including video editing.
