Someone just threw a kitten, less than three days old, in my yard. And not only that it was thrown in front of my dog! Thankfully, Max didn't hurt the kitten but I'm disgusted that a person can do such a thing! I'm really worried, I've never cared for newborn animals.

🥺😭 We found 3 baby kittens, newborns. I'm reading the comments and it seems a lot of people kittens died this young without their mommy. I am terrified these precious little things will die. They're so adorable and I'm so poor, but I'll do everything in my power to love and care them. Even if I have to lose a month of sleep, I don't want to lose a single one.

Wow. That’s true animal instinct your dog had. They knew someone or something needed to care for the baby and instead of treating it like a play toy they brought it to you guys to care for. That dog should get a life time of “good doggy” and treats. Lol. A lot of dogs would have smelled it and freaked out or decided it was a toy which could be fatal.
So my cat just gave birth today. Just 1 kitten. She at 1st seemed to abandon it. I had to remove the placenta- watched a video, and it worked perfectly. Was debating how I’m gonna handle feeding, when my cat came out of hiding. I petted her gently, and placed her in the box with blankets where I put the kitten. She was unsure what to do at 1st, and calmly jumped out. But then kept going back in the box to see. Finally her maternal instincts kicked in. Currently licking her baby clean. It’s almost like she didn’t know if I’d approve of her kitten, and needed me to tell her it’s ok, so she could go forward with her instincts. Just glad Mother Nature is doing its thing

Same.. We just realized that the mother cat we've been carrying and feeding for the whole time is a really fucked up mother. She got pregnant 3 times, 3 kittens, 1 kiiten, then now 8 kittens.
As time passed by.. She's losing her care to her kittens. Those FIRST 3 kittens she had is so lucky, coz she has full attention and energy to them. Then now, those 8 kittens which is the most numbered of them all has now not receiving any care from their shit mother. So poor, I want to keep them but my parents aren't allowing us to temporarily keep them, because we already have One.

If you don't have a heating pad, fill a jelly jar with hot water, wrap it in a towel and lay it in the nest. Kittens will climb up on it like mama's belly and go to sleep. Refresh every 3-4 hours.

I have no one to rely on with taking care of kittens and I have to prioritize college too (Mon,Tue,Thu,Fri;7:00am-4:30pm & Wed; 10:00am-2:00pm) -whoops sorry accidentally sent while not fin writing- and only time I can feed them properly is Sat and Sun. u could say my situation rn isn't the best, lol
btw, is evaporated milk + egg yolk fine? it's been a 2 weeks or so since I found them but I'm still a bit bothered with it cuz that's what I fed them on day 1 I got them cuz that's what Google recommended for, like, emergency?
@@_uwu_9992 Cats don't have digestive enzymes to process cow's milk very well---goat's milk is far better for them. But I sure do wish you and your kittens well, because the odds are high against them without mama's real milk. (And don't forget the crucial fun part of down-stroking their tummies until they pee and/or defecate, it simply has to be done till they can do it themselves.)

That just happened to me yesterday while it was raining! I couldn’t leave her in the street so i took her home and I couldn’t sleep because the poor thing keeps screaming, today it’s still raining and I just got back from the vet .. how’s the kitten you found now?
When I was a boy in the early 50s I remember a farmer who milked his cow every day. On the porch at the kitchen door there was a 3 ft diameter galvanized lid . The farmer would pour a draugh of milk and instantly about 15 or so white angora barn cats surrounded the lid and made it all dissappear. They seem to come out of nowhere. Great memories,

Well of course it isn't easy, remember you are dealing with a newborn kitten, just like newborn babies they depend on you 100% because they are not able to do basic things on their own.
You have to be patient and above all caring with kittens or any newborn animal. It's not the kitten's fault if he doesn't pee or poop, it is possible that the kitten has a serious problem that is not allowing it to poop or pee, like an infection,deformity etc. So be caring and patient.

I know I'm a little late to this feed but my momma cat left me with 4 babies and I have no clue how to take care of newborn kittens, they won't drink from the bottle seem the nipple to big so I'm feeding them from a dropper, it's very hard and alot of work and very patient with these little guys cause it's all new to them too

I found a kitten around 3 weeks old and I feed him with a medicine dropper because I can't find a bottle that he will take. His name is Downy and he's a month or so old now, although he dislikes dry cat food. He will eat canned food but I need to start him on a good brand of dry food. Any advice?

I just got one and no matter what I do, she just screams, bites and scratches for the slightest thing. God forbid if the bottle falls out of her mouth. She would start scratching her face scream and bite anything around her. I have seen vicious cats before and it seems she is one of them. I have even seen people like her. Its amazing that they are born with it.

I found a kitten outside on my porch, she’s about 2 days old. I currently have her in a shoe box with a stuffed animal. Never was it my intention to take her in, she imprinted on me.

oh my gosh, I had left it with my mother for one night as I was extremely busy and my family was having a get together. She fed the kitten on her back and she sadly passed away from the food going into her lungs. I was absolutely devastated about it when I got the call and felt bad for leaving the kitten there. Shortly after, though I went to get another kitten which was a bit older. We have 6 cats as of now, and the kitten I got after is doing great. His name is dobby. (That action was not to replace the kitten it was to help grieve)

The kitten is so adorable!
They also need to be fed throughout the night every 2-3 hours. Food needs to be warm. Check it on your wrist. Urine does not have to be clear yellow is fine. When you stimulate them if it isn’t working after a few seconds try a little lower or a little higher. I find that when their lower legs are also moving that’s about where it should be. You might have to use more toilet paper (if you choose to use that) than you think. Keep going until they are finished. This can also be a reason why they aren’t eating. The kitten lady has SO much info on kittens. You also need to introduce wet food as well as kibble. They need it twice a day it is good for their kidneys. Also an immune support/probiotic power is a good thing to add to the wet food. Don’t freak out if they don’t immediately take to the wet food. DO NOT USE CLUMPING LITTER. DO NOT USE IT. since they are not stable on their feet they could get it in their mouths and swallow it (this could kill them)or get it stuck to their butt/urethra and create a blockage. Use those newspaper pellets, wood pellets, or non clumping litter until they are stable on their feet. If you’re having trouble getting them to eat go watch kitten lady’s 10 ways to feed a tricky bottle baby. It helped SO much when I had my first litter.
I found 3 babies on the street, took them to the vet, gave them all vaccinations, they all died, I was giving them milk to replace the mother's milk since she was not around and it was horrible, it was a week ago and I still cry a lot... the tinier one was the last one to die... he wanted to live so much.... I really hope that they are in a better place because they here didnt have the chance to enjoy more....

I found 5 cute little kittens in my back yard. I wish I could keep them but my life is way too busy and I live alone. But I really want to give these little guys a fighting chance.
My mommy kitten just had another litter and three were stillborn one lived for a day and a half then just went lethargic and breathing weird. When it passed it had green discharge from its nose. Then she had another one and was breach. Now she keeps looking around for her last baby. So sad. I wonder what the little one died from. Felt warm and looked like it was eating. I feel so much guilt.

A friend of mine has construction being done to the roof and one of the workers spotted an abandoned kitten. He asked if I could take it since I raised 7 healthy kittens before so he brought it to me and we went to pet smart to buy everything we need for it. My gf and I were doing really well but all of a sudden the cat stopped breathing and just passed all of a sudden. I performed cpr on the kitty for 10 minutes straight but sadly she was gone. The kitten was about 1 or 2 days old and we figured it was missing a lot of the mother’s nutrients. We buried her today. Poor little girl must’ve been really weak. We only had her for 4 hours. My gf blames herself but it was natural cause of death and she’s really sad bc it was her first cat. I know the poor kitty was facing the odds but at least we were able to give her a fighting chance. We plan on finding the other kittens and adopting them

Having a hard time believing this numbers, i found a cat with 3 weeks. I bought milk replacement and in the box it says 5 times a day 10-15ml feeding which totals 50-75ml. When i convert 27oz to ml it says 340ml, that's like more than the cat's weight, what i'm i missing?
The kittens were born yesterday and lived through a night time temperature of about 45 degrees F. Tonight it will get to 35 degrees. Don't use cow's milk? Milk replacer is cow's milk.

I just found a newborn kitten on my porch this morning. His eyes are still closed and his umbilical cord is still attached. He’s so tiny I’m afraid I’m going to break him when I pick him up.

My cat died while giving birth through surgery and the baby have defects in body , legs are folded and eyes cannot close . Cat milk replacer is not available in my area . Baby survived one day . I replaced food with human baby powder milk ...i don't know what to do . I haven't sleep whole night so that baby don't get cold . And try to give body heat.
Was doing great with our newborn kitten until I watched this video. Tried the heating pad on lowest setting and she died. Cooked after only an hour. Feed her put her on several blankets and enough room to move off didnt work. Thanks have several upset children now.

I found about a week ago, 2 newborn kittens, i think they are both boys, they are now a week old exactly, im feeding them formula diluted with water, they are constipated and they haven't pooped for 5 days, i massage their tummies, i stimulate them to poo, but they just dont, my vet told me to get glicerin, im very frustrated and worried, i hope it works, im taking the best care of them possible, i hope they are ok.
Yesterday,We found a New born kitten.We picked her and make her warm.We looked at her eye and it's full of eyedirt.We cleaned her eye and we were shock because she doesn't have eyeballs.We still didn't find her mother.And now I'm watching this video because she's not drinking milk.We didn't use Syringe/baby bottle to feed coz there aren't any store that sell those here.So I made a DIY bottle.And we don't have the money to bring her to the Veterinarian.Her eyes are getting worse and always getting bit by ants.Hope she survives so we will have a new member of our family.

My cat gave birth to 4 kittens and they're about 2 weeks old now. 2 have opened their eyes.
The problem is one of those 2 has only 1 eye opened and the other is still shut, it doesn't look swollen, it doesn't seem to irritate him and I don't see any puss, but his eyelids look like they're glued together or something. Should I be worried?
It seems that your kittens have conjuctivitis,wich means that 1 or both eyes are like "glued together of something.Take the kittens to the vet.He will give you something like a lotion.Read the instructions on the package and start using it, my kitten had conjuctivitis,and i took it to the vet,he gave me that lotion and when i started using it on my kitten (about 3 months ago) everything was fine,his eyes ar ok.

Ok ok, I have 2 kitten, I think they're about 3 weeks? They're actually 3, but the othet one passed away along with their mother, only 2 is left.
The other one, just sleeps and drinks milk, the other one is hyper as hell. The first one is kinda thin unlike Ginger (the fat one) Rey doesn't drink that much, maybe about 2 or 3 drops only. And Im worrying. At first they we're both hyper, not until their mom died. Ginger is still hyper, Rey is a little, but today, he's getting weak, he can't stand and he just sleeps, pees, and poops. Can you give me some advice on how to take care of Rey? Im really worried
because it's pasteurized and homogenized...think about it this way. It's cooked, basically. The mommy cat's milk is not "cooked", it's raw. If you can get raw cow's milk you can use that because it's "alive" with enzymes and other good things that pasteurization kills.

Pls help. Do they have to be kept warm even if it's hot here? Around 32 degrees. I just saw two abandoned stray kittens 4 days back I'm still trying to learn. Their eyes aren't open yet I think they were born 4 days back and were abandoned. I waited for the night to see if mother returned but she didn't so I kept them in garage as pets not allowed in my home. I cover them with blancket but they remove it there are 2. I didn't knwo about stimulation also but I saw both of them pooping today. Eyes not open yet. Vet is going to come day after in town. Please assist. I have kittens formula they hardly take not more than three times in a day and they keep sleeping a lot. I will do the stimulation tomorrow and see changes. Is it weird that they can poop but not pee?

@@jasminelove101 The reason they say never use cow milk is because that can give them diarrhea. And they might be too young to relieve themselves so they die from the diarrhea. So you should try to find someone that can take care of the kitten. Keep the kitten(s) warm.

When you say 8x 4oz you mean 4oz total in the 8 feeds correct so about half an oz each time

It's so unfortunate to tell you that I have 3 kittens. They are 3 days old. Their mother got killed due to some unexpected incident. We even don't know the exact spot of the died cat. First of all there were 4 kittens in which 1 died present morning. I was so sad because we're giving them cow milk everyday 3times a day. I don't know the exact reason behind this incident because the died kitten was so skinny and would hardly able to squawk. Now only 3 of them are alive, still we give them cows milk. Would you please prefer some advice on how to benevolent these kittens

What kind of milk?
A cat give birth 2 kittens and left it in my grandma's house we had to clean that room when we enter there 2 new born kittens were tied her mom was leaving through the window and other 2 adult cats sleeping on the bed
i have 3 kittens they just turned 2 weeks now.. they eyes are widely open now but my problem is every morning they can't open their left side of their eye seems there is something sticky i guess its a gound.. how did they get that? i don't think too much sleeping can cause gound that much.. they were kept in a big carton box with more layers of matress. Unfortunately their momma cat don't stay longer to keep them warm.. the only thing that can momma cat stay to the kittens if the momma cat wants to feed the kittens but after that she will leave the kittens alone. Is there any home remedies for the eye of the kittens and what should i do for the momma cat to stay besides of her kittens?
my cat just birthed 6 kittens only one survived

so today I learnt painful way how not listening to doc can be devastating.... I'm far from home but my 20 year old sis got a kitten a week back. I already knew how difficult it is for a kitten to survive, so I told her to be careful and do a proper research on how she can raise the baby. I explicitly told her to take her to the vet first, she didn't do so. she fed the baby cow's milk that too only 3 times a day. then she put her in empty bucket without any heat. there were already signs of intestinal fleas she told me on call. On that point I knew it was too late but I still told her to take her to vet... didn't comply so she died today. my sis is heartbroken and I, who haven't even seen that little baby can't even sleep at 3am
We found a days old kitten Infront of our house, someone threw him there and we just took him in bc it's was raining heavily that time. , we bought him a milk for kittens/puppies but idk why he started pooping liquid after we fed him that milk and he died today. 😢😢😢😢 It's really hard to take care newborn kittens without their mother. We used to have kittens before but they're with their mom so they all grew healthy and okay.
I need help. I just found a very small kitten and it refuses to drink milk and idk what to do
What if mines pre mature? She has a mum but how do I help her be warm and stuff? Her mum was born with us. She's small too. She's only 1 and I know the mums personality and everything bc she loves me. She litteraly tries giving birth next to me and started rubbing. Her mum did the same thing. I know she can't rlly handle one. Idk if I said this but she gave birth to 3 and two died 😭😭. What do I do to help them? She can barley support herself to reach a nipple so I'm sitting g with them so that every time she falls I assist her. Pls anyone advise 😭
I just found a kitten that I bealive to be a few days old but all I have is cow's milk and I won't be able to get it kitten milk for a couple of hours. Is it ok to use in an emergency like this.
kittens have different nutritional requirements than calves, so the cow milk is not appropriate for them. in fact, cow's milk is difficult for them to digest, and can lead to diarrhea, which is dangerous for a small kitten - they can die from the dehydration very quickly. The best thing is mother's milk, if available. consult your local vet or animal shelter - they may have an already nursing cat that can feed the kittens. otherwise KMR is best.
