@@manvfilm I would also suggest checking out some of the Morricone Conducts Morricone videos that are available on YT; Gabriel's Oboe is one that I particularly love from the film.
"The Fabulous Stains" - I'm glad I saw your video. I had NO IDEA this film was coming out! I really liked it and can't wait to own it. It's a rare one! Nice to see Diane Lane and Laura Dern in early roles.
@@yournamehere6002 I had no idea there was a DVD - I slept through that. This is a must get. I'm in the U.S. so I wonder who the best retailer to purchase this from?
Hey Graham. I won’t go on too much. You already know how much I was wowed by the size & quality of this announcement. Regarding Crimson River, it’s a great super stylish film, the sequel isn’t too shabby also. I’m also, very slowly, making my way through the recent Crimson River TV show, streaming from Channel 4. From what I’ve already seen it’s a great French police Procedural/serial killer format. Also I remember Shadow Makers/Fat Man & Little Boy was a solid drama. Although that was decades ago. Also I really didn’t fancy City of Joy when it hit the cinemas. Patrick Swayze probably put me off, but it has an amazing reputation. I’m looking forward to seeing it now. City of God is an unquestionable masterpiece. Fabulous Stains is an under seen Cult classic. I kind of enjoyed School Ties. Distant Thunder is pretty decent too. Wow!
City of God is an amazing piece of cinema, first discovered it through Film Studies in high school. I've got a nice steelbook of the blu ray, but I feel it's deserving of the 4K treatment soon.
It's a mighty package that's for sure. I'll have to find way to fund this AND Shaw Bros v2 plus Columbia classics 4k v3. Amongst all the other great things coming out. $$$ $$$ 😱. Imprint just continue to go from strength to strength though! Loving what they are doing and loving that they continue to improve and not just rest on their laurels. For the money, they'd wanna be improving constantly!
This is quite the packed month for Imprint! I've seen all the films in the After Dark Two set, though it has been quite some time since I saw most of them so I would be interested in revisiting them. I do remember that I did like Crimson Rivers well enough, and also apparently I saw the sequel and liked it a bit less than the first, for what it's worth, though I don't remember much about them at this point. I've seen the first two of the Roland Joffe films and already own them on Blu-ray, and they are both great, and in fact The Mission is one of my favorite films. Also, the score is superb, and it's another one I had to get on CD. I still need to see those other two. I had Fat Man and Little Boy recorded on VHS to see one day for over thirty years now but never got around to it, but at this point I think I will stream it in HD if that's available and just leave the tape on the shelf. City of God was indeed a great film that I want to see again. I did see School Ties last year, though I am also pretty sure I first saw it back in the '90s at least in part, and I thought it was really good, too. Distant Thunder looks interesting, but I am really intrigued by Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (I think especially as I see Diane Lane performing in a band and I think of Streets of Fire!)
30 years! Now that’s building some serious anticipation. I’ve done that a few times where I’ve actually upgraded a film from one format to another and still had never watched it.
Ladies and Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains is a must see must have! I highly recommend that! The Neo Noir box has so many good titles, especially Narc and Blue Steel!
Great selection of films. I will focus on City of Joy which is spectacular and massively underrated. Whole cast is brilliant and Rt Malik plays a really unpleasant villain. City of joy is not readily available on Blu-ray but should be. Definite buy. Similar to another unappreciated film - Year if Living Dangerously.”
Crimson River is great! Dark, brooding French serial killer movie. I saw it 10 years ago and hadn't heard from it since. Great to see it released properly. On the fence about getting this boxset mainly because of the price!
Just started an account with them and ordered that months bundle along with cutters way. Couldn't resist narc plus there was too much good stuff included to pass up!
Amazing bunch of films, The Killing Fields is a must for me and The Way Of The Gun is a film not enough people talk about, Unfortunately Imprint are pricey and we get hurt badly with import charges here in the Republic of Ireland . So I'll be on the bench for these ones, Pity.
I need to cut down on my Imprint buying but the Noir set is essential and Distant Thunder is one I always wanted to see. No for me to the others, City of God is great but I've seen it twice including at the cinema way back when and I know there is a cheaper blu ray option. I've just been spending like mad recently and the cost of living ain't coming down!
Yeah that’s extremely disappointing, but it must be because of licenses. Arrow had to release the Woody Allen set with zero extras as Allen wouldn’t allow it.
@@manvfilm I'm not sure what the reasoning was. It would seem odd that commentaries and such would be objectionable for these films. I am holding off getting them because I have a feeling they will show up from Kino or someone else with the original features included.
Really disappointed with the Neo Noir Collection 2. There are so many great 90s neo noir that they just skipped over. China Moon, Stormy Monday, Everybody Wins, Traces Of Red etc. I would rather have seen them tackle those first before getting into the 2000s.
This is a series that could run a while, so maybe the next set will have some deep cuts. Just now I’m happy to be getting the way of the gun and blue steel.
The Mission is amazing and Morricone's score one of the greatest things hes ever composed.
I might give that a listen to on the commute to work

That neo noir boxset is amazing, I've seen all but crimson river but that sounds great as well

Both Crimson Rivers 1 and 2 are great french movies that's well worth a watch.
