It is just a lot of fun just watching it cook. A lot of quick processes to get that yella. Plus a mad scientist to do the work. Thanks for sharing your process with us my friend. Keep doing what you do brother.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Thanks much, Chuck. Targeted chemistry like gold and silver refining is pretty addictive imho. Just gotta be careful. A man's just gotta know his limitations. (Clint Eastwood) Peace Prospector Tripp
I am getting lazy, I should have cleaned up the non-magnetic black sand much better before refining. Obviously, there was less placer gold than I thought. No matter really, it's now near pure AU, and that ain't bad. Thanks Gold Hunter! Peace Prospector Tripp
Hello Kris, yes sir, refining showed that the Boise River gold we dug up is likely 16~18 karat. The good part is that there is More! 😂 Thanks again for the great dig! Peace Prospector Tripp
Howdy PT... Nice demonstration, and although it seems like a minimal amount,, It's still pure gold versus what it originally was. Looking forward to some future prospecting jaunts, (if Mom lets you come out to play again).
Hello Johnny, yeah, Secret Creek Kirk stopped by a while back and met Mama. Remember the life cereal commercial, Mikey.. Hey Mikey, she likes him! 😆 🤣 yeah, she liked Kirk, and that sure helps her to worry less about me wondering about gunslinging it alone in the river or mountains. It's time, I suppose, and certainly a much safer plan than going it alone. Thanks bfam Peace Prospector Tripp
It’s always a blessing to dig with terrific wonderful people! Plus there’s super nice cool beautiful water to splash around in and.. yep.. Gold! 👍 I believe the boise river placer is likely 16~18 karat. Still all and all beautiful AU! Thanks Keith stay vigilant and safe my friend. Peace Prospector Tripp
Hello Mandy, it’s a great activity to refine gold to high purity. Makes me happy to see that beautiful pure gold color! Stay blessed and golden Mandy! Peace Prospector Tripp
@ProspectorTripp I'm so nervous to try I do enjoy watching these videos for sure science experiments are exciting especially with Gold. Take care Tripp 🙂 Heavy Pans
That was kinda strange…. That little bit that was .25 looked smaller than what was in the other beaker and the beaker with more only ended up adding .09 to the total…. I thought you’d get at least 3/4 of a gram or more… that’s science…I reckon that gold wasn’t very pure to begin with then right? Thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Hello 48, yeah there was more dirt, aka black sand 😆 than I thought. Also, it shows that the purity of the gold was maybe 16~18k. I've refined Placer gold before that turned out to be roughly 18k purity before refining. Next time, I may try to inquart the Placer gold with silver and also clean up the gold much better beforehand. Thanks 48 stay Golden Peace Prospector Tripp
Quite pretty…. Well yeah !!!!!! It’s gold !!! ✌️✌️✌️

Use a magnet in a baggie to get the black sand out first.
Amen. That works well for sure 👌
Thanks much 🙏
