Of course there's tension. George RR Martin is barely keeping his seething rage contained at how D&D have butchered key elements of his story. And D&D think George is a fat lazy fuck who can't finish a book if there was a gun to his head.
I wouldn't say there is massive tension as there would have been if other people had tried to adapt the show, in season 1 they adapted it quite faithfully There will be some disquiet though over changes, I watched 3 seasons and then read all of the books so I've experienced the issue from both sides. The show is great and well loved but just looking at all the theories the books are really masterpieces with so much depth and there is a vibrant online community engaging over what may or may not be happening behind the scenes etc and there is much I didn't pick up on from first reading, Naturally having to merge characters or change their traits to make things more telegenic means the difference between the books and show will become more and more pronounced.
I really hate fan questions at panels. I understand its part of the showmanship but so many fans come off creepy uncomfortable and strange. It feels a lot more natural if the questions are pre prepared and the actors are just allowed to talk
I'm so sick of interviewers asking the same questions in these GOT panels. How did you come to make the show, what are the locations, tell us about the controversial content, who is Jon Snow's mother etc. The show's been running four years now, do your research and come up with new questions to ask!

So these videos are the only way I can experience SDCC now. I was attending every year from 1993~2010.

I'm curious, what are your thoughts on there being no word of any Arianne Martell casting? It looks like they're writing her out entirely, as well as Quentyn, and making Trystane the heir to Sunspear. Personally, I think this is a waste of a wonderful opportunity for the show to really show how different Dorne is from the rest of Westeros because women can inherit titles too. And I don't know why they would write out the POV characters of Dorne in exchange for Trystane who really is only mentioned in the books.
