I was researching Baggers and looked up the F6B before... as I walked into a motorcycle store to waste some time... I saw a '15 F6B Deluxe in person... with a slanted look, blacked out engine, and a flat dark grey color... I fell in love right there and then... and walked out with it... this one in the video has a Corbin heated seat, an aftermarket windshield and the Helibars... I prefer the Honda accessory taller windshield (to barely look over)... also as of 2015 F6B models have cruise control, which is a blessing and saved me from the 5 O's with the radar guns ... That jixter guy is probably still wondering what passed him in those tight twisties... the Deluxe model has the passenger backrest (for comfort) and center stand (which helps with maintenance)... I like the look of the gunfighter seat, otherwise I would have chosen the shown Corbin heated seat btw... I don't miss the reverse or the trunk... just park pointing uphill and get the rear rack... it is a breeze to ride with a strong engine... your passenger will love you too... radio is great (I prefer listening to the front speakers over plugging my helmet into the connector and listening to the headset) and you can plug up your phone to stream your favorite playlist too (or buy a cheap bluetooth adapter)... maintain the locks on the bags every so often as they loosen up a bit over time and get LED lights for no bulb changing pain... if you wanna save a penny or two don't be scared to turn the wrench as maintenance is a little time consuming, however with maintenance book in hand and/or TH-cam advice you become the ultimate mechanic... I still can't believe that the airfilter is burried so deep inside the bike... the more important question is if would I buy the F6B agaiYESSSSSS...

great review sean, almost as enthusiastic he was as he did w/the vulcans!

After owning a Vulcan 1600 Classic for 12 years I was in the market for something else, something more in the long range touring vein. I spotted a used 2014 F6B in black for sale locally at a decent price, it had roughly 67,000 kms (42,000 miles) on it but had been ridden by an experienced mature GW rider before I got it so I figured that it hadn't been abused.
It already had a some extras on it like a center stand, Garmin GPS, XM Radio, highway pegs, throttle lock....
My bike is a Canadian model so it came with ABS which I thought was quite important for a motorcycle this large and heavy.
When the seller invited me to take his F6B out for a rip through the countryside and see if I liked it I immediately fell in love with this thing, man Gold Wings Rock! It was a two and a half hour ride to get it back to my house from where this guy lived and it was a blast! Super highway bike! Lots of power, smooth power. And boy does my wife ever love this thing. This was the best choice for us, it ticked all of the boxes.
Over the course of the winter I have purchased a new air filter which I will install myself as soon as my bike is out of winter storage. I also purchased a whole lot of goodies for this bike during this time, a heated Corbin Dual Touring Saddle, Madstad windshield, 4 Pathfinder LED headlight bulbs and a pair of Pathfinder Fog/turn signal/DRL cowl lights, a Show Chrome luggage rack and a Givi v56 Trunk to mount on top of the luggage rack whenever we take a little trip.
Also need to buy a new set of tires for it this spring and get the brakes checked over.......then we should be all set to go!

I absolutely love the look of the F6B. It is low, sleek and fast. I traded my 2017 Harley Road Glide for a 2018 Goldwing DCT Tour.. The technology of the Goldwing was the deciding factor for me.

I actually almost got this bike before choosing my Victory Cross Country. I chose the XC because the Goldwing lacked the legroom I wanted. Being 6'2", legroom was very important. I've owned both type of bikes. I had a 14 Streetglide Special and a 13 F6B. Hands down, the Honda was faster and smoother than the Harley. The looks of the Harley was better than the F6B in my opinion. It all comes down to the rider and what they desire out of the bike. I choose performance and technology over looks.

I like this bike. I own an older Goldwing with custom paint, blacked out frame, and I took the tour pack off. But honestly the Harley just sounds better. That V-Twin rumble is what people like about the Harley. This Goldwing is more aerodynamic, looks sportier than a Harley, may be faster, better gas mileage, and handle better, but it doesn't have that rumble or rugged look of the Harley. I'm sure this is a great bike. There's an identical one for sale near me I'm tempted to go buy but I'm also always looking for a deal on the right Street Glide. I want a black one with black frame and black pipes, don't need all the chrome. This Goldwing looks like a modern sporty bagger, I wish they would have put a big V-Twin in it from the VTX 1800. If i was going on a long weekend trip with a buddy I'd take this bike though. They are super smooth and comfortable. Cruise would be nice but you can add an aftermarket solution.

Never been a Goldwing fan at all but this one looks OK. I'm not big in to back boxes etc but can see their use in certain cases. However I'd far rather they designed and made the bikes with removable boxes that looks as though it's never had boxes on it but also looks right, as this one does with them on. Those ones aren't really intrusive and nearly blend in with the bikes shape.

sean any way you could make a video on how just because motorcycles are "dangerous", "unsafe" and "deadly" (even though they are) that we shouldn't own them? I'm really trying to convince my parents to let me get a bike but they arent budging and I've been wanting one for years. I know its sounds dumb but I dont want to go behind my parents back and just buy one, I want at least one of them on board. any tips/ advice?

    • @Billfish57
      @Billfish57 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The thing about it is this, bikes are not dangerous at all, unless you get involved in an accident, then you are the bumper or the fender and when you wreck, it's always bad news. The only way bikes are not dangerous is to never ever wreck on one and that is almost impossible if you do enough miles on a bike. A few people have been lucky and never wrecked, but those people are few. Some only ride for a couple of years and quit before a wreck, but if you are going to ride a lot of miles expect to crash at least once or twice, your fault or someone else, it's just a mater of odds catching up with you. Your parents are smart to not want you on a bike, but you have to live your life, it's not your parents call, unless you still live with them. You may need to move out first, don't lie to them though. You may delay telling them a few months until you have proven you can at least ride without crashing, but keep in mind, it takes years, at least one year of every day riding to get good at it.
Don't ride in the rain, keep good tires on it, always ware a full face helmet, not just for a wreck but for flying rocks and bugs and rain and wind, practice near perfect habits so you will always have them in the future, don't get lazy about safety. dump riding with idiot friends, only smart friends around you. Good luck.

Say Brotha , nice bike ! However ... not smoother than my BMW 1600 B ! And certainly not faster ☝️ ( guess you haven’t ridden a Beemer yet ) other than that I like your videos & I ❤️ Jesus . So .. GOD BLESS !

its not the bigger the engine the smoother the more cylinders help offset the vibration that's why v12 ride so smooth with little engine vibration

What’s the point of buying the Goldwing without the tour pack? If you can get over the name, and the badges on the bike, Honda kicks all bike makers butts.

Lmao! Even young guys go to the store or take a road trip. That tour pac comes in real handy when you’re hauling a bunch of crap. Never been a fan of how the GW lineup looks. I know they have the specs; just can’t get past the looks and sewing machine sound. Lol...it’s all good tho. Ride what you like.
